I have deep regrets selecting Jeff and his crew at Divine Landscaping. If I could go back in time,…read moreI would've chosen someone else. My project included stone borders and rubber mulch for the front yard flower bed and tree, laying gravel on the side yards, and laying a perimeter of gravel in the backyard. I met with 3 companies to get quotes, but opted for Jeff because he was slightly less expensive than the other guy I had in my top 2 (though not the cheapest) and I appreciated how thoroughly he explained everything. He made me feel confident in his abilities to get the job done and get it done right. Working with Jeff to decide on the design was pretty simple, though getting the HOA to approve the drawings was a hassle. They wanted a very basic mock-up, yet Jeff kept sending elaborate drawings with details they didn't care to see. After much back and forth, he finally provided what they asked for. When the project started, we were told it would take about a week and the crew would be there first thing at 8am. They didn't show up until close to noon on the first day. The front of the house made great progress and looked pretty darn good. It took longer than planned, but we had to work around weather and family issues on Jeff's end, which is understandable. However, once the project went behind the fence, the work got a little half-assed. I didn't appreciate that Jeff/his crew would make decisions (that I often disagreed with or weren't in the original plans) without consulting me. I work from home and was home during the entirety of the project. A simple text or knock on the door would've sufficed if they needed a decision from me. Something that irked me was the fading communication. As the project progressed, I heard less and less from Jeff. On the last day, I didn't even know they were done with the project until I heard them drive off and got a ding in my email saying to pay the final bill. There was no final walk, nothing. They didn't even clean up their mess that they left throughout my yard, patio, and garage where they stored their equipment. Communication also failed when I would repeatedly ask them to not bury my termite bait stations. I told them I'd needed to be able to access them, yet they proceeded to bury them under the tarp, mulch, and gravel anyway. When the project was done, I had the lovely task of relocating them and digging an access point myself. There are many, many, many little things I could list here that would make this Yelp review a novel, but needless to say, Divine Landscaping has zero pride in workmanship when it comes to the project they did for me. I thank them for fixing some mistakes they made after the fact, like multiple punctures in my foundation's drip line. But I'm the same breath, I could grumble about the fact that now I have a bunch of stone borders crumbling in my front yard and they've gone unfixed since I reached out in March, 4 months since the project was done. I understand personal issues pop up, but I also believe in delegating when necessary and that hasn't happened. With the exception of my front yard project looking nice from afar, I'm disappointed in all of this.

They make it simple and automated, so I literally don't even think about it anymore. But I knew their specialty was patios and landscaping, so we reached out when we were ready to do more with our backyard. They've been super booked this summer, but were able to fit us in. The concrete patio they installed looks incredible. We love the space it created for our kids to play and for us to enjoy. It's so nice to have a space outdoors where we can entertain and be proud of how it looks. During the patio process, they let us bring our own drawings and ideas to the table, and guided us according to the best practices they know so well. They went over and above, allowing us to add some additional space and came back to add sod in some places where the yard grade had changed and drainage needed to be adjusted. Both at no extra cost. After receiving the initial design, we requested revisions, but communication was slow and updates often took weeks. When we followed up for updates, we were repeatedly reminded that they were managing larger projects, which left us feeling like our project was not a priority. When we finally received the project proposal, the pricing was not itemized, which made it difficult to identify areas where we could scale back to fit our budget. When we asked for a more detailed breakdown, we were told their process is "turnkey," and no alternatives or solutions were offered to help adjust the project scope. Understanding that this was simply how they operated, we requested another revision in hopes of reducing costs. Our last conversation was in November, when we were told we would receive an updated revision within two weeks. Unfortunately, we never heard from Scapes again. We ultimately chose to work with a different local landscape architect who was more communicative, provided transparent pricing and a much better overall experience.

We contracted with Tim at Premier in late 2021 for some landscaping and new sod on our new home in Copper Canyon. Tim did a good job helping design the landscape and putting a plan to together for our design. He was hands on to start and took us to the nursery to pick our plants and trees. He completed the project as described. Many of the sod squares however were already dead on install. Tim said let's wait till the spring to replace them due to the cold weather in the winter. We contacted him in March and he said he would come out to replace them in April. Come April it was extremely difficult to get a hold of Tim. He would not respond to calls and many texts. He finally answered the phone one day sounding extremely frustrated with us asking him to replace what he said he would do. He did come out and replace some squares but told us he was not able to get any more because of the grass shortage and that he would come back as soon as he got hold of more sod. (which we do not believe since we have seen sod at many nurseries) Since then it has been a nightmare dealing with Tim. He does not respond to texts and flat-out ignores our calls even though he repeatedly said he said he would replace the remaining dead sod. (I have text message to prove). I have even given him multiple opportunities to flat out tell he didn't want to honor his warranty by just saying so. We paid him $56k to do our project. Initially he was very responsive and professional and I actually considered him a friend. Obviously it was all for show till the check cleared. Once he received the funds he had no desire to follow up on his word. Buyer beware. If it's one thing I cannot tolerate it's a liar. If you hire Premier to do any work, our recommendation is to not pay him in full until every item is completed. Happy to further discuss our experience with anybody that is considering dealing with Premier. Jim Tannous 48O-734-0845
