Best shawarma in Waterloo! Order the full flavour wrap with extra garlic sauce!

i've had quite a few different shawarma places, but i'm by no means a shawarma expert. relative to the all the other shawarma i've had, this place it def high tier never had the wrap since real men eat platters. when they ask you about sauces to add, just add all the sauces fam that shit is delicious. comes with fries, salad and a pita. -fries are solid, goes really well with the meat -salad is decent, some people don't like the pickled turnip because it's too strong but i'm personally a fan, plus you can just ask them to not add it if you don't like it -pita is just a pita with oil on it, it's actually dry af stuff all that shit in the pita for maximum mouthgasm and to make the pita not as bad location is near laurier and too far from uw so i hate it price is a little higher end for the platter ($12+ iirc), but the portion is pretty large read more

I have had schwarmas at A LOT of places and so far I have yet to find a place that I love more than Mozy's. It actually saddens me now that I've graduated and am no longer in the area because when I have cravings, I have to settle for sub-par schwarmas. Portions are generous - it is enough for two meals (you could always ask for extra rice, their fries are delicious too). The chicken is never too dry or burnt, the rice not too bland. Went here once I the recommendation of a co worker. It's good, but it didn't blow my hair back like it seems to for many who review the place. It was incredibly dirty to eat in and poorly kept, the staff was emotionless, and the food was merely all right. There's better imho. read more

Very disappointed. Order a shawarma sandwich at 10:43, got my order at 11:05.... It was ridiculous. They prepped about a dozen orders before completing one. Ppl that came 10 mins after me got their food first. The sandwich was done and ready to be wrapped, but sat there for 5 minutes. They're incredibly slow. The shawarma itself was not good. The bread breaks apart after the first bite, chicken is tiny little pieces, and the turnips are way too salty. Authentic shawarma does not taste like this. Mozy's is the best shawarma I have ever eaten. The service is quick, and they are always generous with the portions. It's a place where I would venture half an hour in negative 30 degree weather for. Absolutely delicious. Go to order is the chicken shawarma salad. read more

Mozy's is still my favourite shawarma restaurant. I love their shawarma plate the way it is, but if you want, It's easy to customize your order since they make it in front of you through the glass. The only downside is that the waiting time can be long sometimes. read more

I guess I went on an off day, staff seemed irritated that it was busy. I asked on question about he menu and got and eye roll explanation. Some of the best Shawarma in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. The normal Shawarma wrap comes with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and beets with garlic and Sriracha sauce, but I recommend getting the "full flavour" wrap which eschews the lettuce and tomato in favour of fries and extra pickles. The meat is deliciously greasy, the pickles are strong and crunchy and the wraps are nicely-toasted. For $8 the portions are absolutely huge as well. If you get a Shawarma plate expect to take some of it home, they're that big. The rice is nothing to write home about but the battered fries are delicious (they taste sort of like the ones at Costco). They normally charge for extra garlic sauce but if you get fries they'll usually just give you one if you ask nicely. Overall, this place is great for late-night munchies or if you're just looking for a great-tasting, (probably) unhealthy meal. read more

Double Taste Pizza and Shawarma in Kitchener is far, far superior. Better rice, better meat, and better salad than Mozy's. This was passable and definitely filled me up, but for better Shawarma, Double Taste is the place to go. read more

Forever on team Mozy's when it comes to the Mozy's vs. Lazeez debate. The garlic sauce is super potent (just how I like it). My go-to order is their shawarma box. I also tried their falafel today for the first time, and it did not disappoint. The hummus dip it comes with is very smooth and creamy. Mozy's Shawarma has the best balance of taste, serving size, and authenticity. Yes, it might be a little pricey for the platter (around $12 after taxes), but it's worth every penny. Chicken is well seasoned, their grilled pita bread tastes great and their garlic sauce + sriracha sauce combo tastes heavenly. Definitely worth a trip if you're never been here before. read more

I love shawarma and this is hands down my favourite place for it! My friends always get the wrap so I'm going to assume it's good but I always get the rice or salad plate. Their garlic sauce is probably super unhealthy but the trade off is worth it... It's amazing. The portion sizes are relatively large, so one plate lasts me two meals which is totally worth it. read more
