Just $20 for an all day pass and access to classes, rock walk, indoor water park with slides and lap pools, splash pad outside... really great facility. We brought our own towels because it's a $1 rental and we had some in our car (a summer staple!). Best part was no sunscreen! Coming from Arizona and staying at Purgatory for the week to enjoy cooler weather, the no sunscreen part is pretty exciting. My kids rave about this place (now 11 and 13 years old). The rock wall is no joke, either! Unlimited access during open hours (special hours for rock wall, but generally closed after 4pm). Kayaks in the pool at 6pm on Wednesdays for a $5 rental? What is the Colorado? Super cool way to learn!

There are a couple of primitive restrooms along the tour, but there is a real bathroom at the center. There's also food and drinks at the center. It was a pretty big coach and we had both a driver and a tour guide. There was plenty of bottled water they gave us along the way. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We stopped at a few different places where she spoke and we were able to take pictures. On a tour like that, you do sometimes end up waiting for people who dawdle, so you need some patience. One of the main stops was the Cliff Dwellings which includes a tour where you have to be able to do steps and climb ladders. A few people sat out. I'd suggest maybe looking up a YouTube video of that tour to make sure it's something you really want to do if it's questionable for you. We didn't stop at all the places in the park, but our guide did tell us places we may want to go on our own. If I had it to do over, I would've probably gotten a two day pass and come back. The center was closed when we got back, so there was no restroom or places to get refreshments until you left the park.

He made his presentations, both on the bus and at the various sites (like the pit houses) very informative and easy to listen to. Marylin at the desk was very helpful and considerate. We were there on a day when they were having some computer difficulties, but It was their first day for the 2025 season. They made sure that we arrived in time for the park ranger - led tour of the Cliff Palace. One word of advice/caution. You need to be relative physically fit to tour Cliff Palace. The exploration is a one way only route. Once you start on the descent, you are COMMITED. There is NO turning back. You will descend steep and uneven stairs with no hand rails and climb back up via 3 period type ladders. If you're not up for this, don't go down to the Palace. Obviously, this is not the fault of the tour. In fact, you can see the Palace and other structures from the view point platform. Mark used a laser pointer to high light some of the features. A few of us on this tour, including me (I have bad knees), let discretion be the better part of valor and went back to the bus. Mark was prepared for this. He made a nice presentation on the history and features of the park and engaged in pleasant and informative conversation while we waited for the others to return. Then we continued onto the rest of the tour. Remember, you are high up in the mountains. The Cliff Palace's elevation is about 7,000 feet. The Far View Terrace is up about 8.500 feet. The air is thinner than what you might be used to. As long as you are prepared for these minor physical challenges, you will have a GREAT time! We cannot recommend taking this tour highly enough! So much to do and your kids will highling until tired. So you can drop a little cash here at $15 per hour per kid. Also buying some jump socks for $3. For winter, I bought the monthly pass at $49 which is a deal because you can do up to 2 hours a day everyday. Pays for itself after 2 hours. Seems pretty lax on food so bring your own food to and drink. Service is generally approachable and helpful but you are pretty much on your own. A lot teens working here which is great but there some training lapses and they are strictly informing you if you break the safety rules. Let's be realistic about cleanliness and hygiene.....it's basically as clean as any indoor playground and NOT a sterile germ free environment.. I didn't do a bacteria and germ culture but yeah, it's petri dish of splendor ... it's a McPlayPlace x 1,000. Bring your flu shot, hand sanitizer, and prepare to thoroughly disinfect your kids at home after. Very excited to welcome this place to Farmington and recommend it highly. Millions were spent expanding this park with big river rocks for rafts and kayaks AND a smelly sewage treatment plant. It could be fun if the smell of human feces doesn't bother you. I was unable (my bad) to upload photos of human waste and toilet paper. Disgusting. Given the number of off-leash dogs I saw, I expected better canine behavior. Instead I saw scary aggressive behavior and dog fights. Where is Animal Control? Safety laws are being broken. Please, as a dog owner, train your pooch or keep him on leash!
