Amazing authentic Mexican food. Great service. Wonderful family owned and operated restaurant. Definitely recommended.

The food here was phenomenal. I have been back every week for taco Tuesday! The carne asada and the Al pastor is super good and all on home made tortillas that just melt in your mouth. This is a true gem of a taco spot that beats anything else I have gotten in Huntington Beach! Would highly recommend! read more

Looked up breakfast burritos to try and found Oscar Cafe. The reviews don't lie, this place is great. Drove from Downey to try, and it was well worth it. Quick service. Amazing food. Burrito was great, not greasy. All the ingredients tasted clean. The wife said the Chilaquiles were crunchy, how she likes them, but not spicy at all. If you like yours spicy, keep that in mind. Would definitely come back to try other breakfast options. read more

Two words: Hidden Gem This place is located in a business park, which was interesting when trying to find it. I thought to myself "Did I type in the wrong address??" We walked in and the lady working was all smiles and super nice! The menu is pretty extensive and they have great options! My food came out pretty quickly and was absolutely delicious (I got the Mexican scramble). The breakfast burrito was simple but oh so good! The place is small and quaint and you could miss it if you weren't looking for it. Will definitely be back! read more

Great food, had the Chile verde, corned beef hash/ eggs so far. All was great. They give good portions. Good little spot.

Love this place! Went for breakfast and the food and service was awesome. I accidentally spilled my drink all over the place and they were so helpful to clean up and even gave my friend a bag of ice because she wasn't feeling well! On top of all that, the food was so fresh and flavorful! Will definitely be back again :) read more

Saw a tik tok on this place so we decided to give it a try. Not disappointed at all. Service was amazing. They were so nice. Husband got the breakfast torta and loved it. I got the chicken fajitas. Was expecting everything to come on one plate. Was very surprised to get a sizzling fajita plate and a second plate with rice, beans, sour cream and half an avocado. I got 2 flour tortillas and they brought them out separately wrapped in foil which kept them warm and not sticking together. We will come back and try other things for sure. read more

Loved it. We got the blackened shrimp burrito and the fish wrap (basically a fish burrito) and both were excellent. Fresh salsas made in-house. Sad we were too late on a Sunday to grab the birria but gives us an excuse to come back! Friendly, family-run place. Parking on-site. Highly recommended. Only thing to note was that the chips were slightly oily but didn't detract from a delicious lunch after a morning at the beach. read more

What a great hidden little spot! My family and I went for breakfast today, my wife wanted to have some Chilaquiles and this place came highly reviewed on Yelp, but we kept our expectations in check. However, all four of us loved our food. We had Chilaquiles ( very spicy, so I would recommend ordering them mild), three taco combo(pastor and Carne Asada), torta Birria, and a half order of French toast. The staff was very friendly, the food came out very fast, and I would 100% recommend!! read more

Wanted a good, quick breakfast. Oscar cafe did not disappoint! We ordered a French toast meal with bacon and eggs & a small order of pancakes with an egg and bacon. The French toast was really good! The eggs were also made well. My picky toddler loved the pancakes and eggs too! I liked that the bacon was nice and crispy. Happy to find a local business to support! Staff were also friendly and kind! Looking forward to going back to try lunch items. read more

I was searching for some good menudo in Huntington Beach and when I saw the pictures of this place, I was excited to see that they use honeycomb tripe, which is rare, unless homemade. I was disappointed because there was no honeycomb tripe in my menudo and the meat was chewy because it wasn't cooked long enough. The saving grace was that I ordered 1 asada taco and 1 carnitas taco, just in case the menudo wasn't so great. The tacos were delicious. read more

I'm not sure if they're 190 something reviews are from the same person putting five stars on this business, but the service was horrible. The food was horrible. The lady at the front desk taking our order had a horrible attitude. I'd rather starve before I go back to this place. It looked very dirty. Doesn't even deserve the 1 star but it's the least I can do. read more

Wow, what a great meal! We ordered the fajita dinners, shrimp and chicken. The plates arrived with a generous serving of sliced avocado, shredded lettuce, sour cream and mixed cheeses. Then an awesome presentation of iron skillets- steaming and sizzling with a double portion of grilled shrimp and another of grilled chicken served over a mound of sautéed red and yellow bell peppers plus onions. Then there was an actual salsa bar with a pico de Gallo mix, a green salsa, a hot red salsa, chopped onions and lime wedges. All cooked to order and so tasty! This place is the real deal!! read more

This is the second time I've been here for breakfast. Today my husband got the chorizo burrito and I got the mechaca burrito. Both were delicious, the put the right portions in. Their salsas are great too. The owner is very nice each time I've eaten there he comes out and checks on the customers. We'll be back. read more

Excellent, friendly service. Delicious, hot, fresh made food. I had the build your own omelette with toppings from the salsa bar. Would come again when I am in the neighborhood. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant wasn't busy and sat in a booth. The restaurant is tucked in an industrial area surrounded by commercial buildings. They have plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. You order at the register, then the food is delivered to your table. Unfortunately their menu board was very dim, but they have a QR code. Thankfully Yelper's photos helped me make a decision on what I wanted. We ordered Chilaquiles with side order of Birria (both sauces, half red, half green) and the ABC omelette. Chilaquiles were delicious, wished I had ordered just the green sauce as it was tasty. The beans were just as yummy as the sauce. The ABC omelette wasn't overly spectacular but the home fries (cubed potatoes) made up for the omelette. Bonus there's a salsa bar with pickled jalapeños and carrots, cucumber slices, radishes, limes, avocado salsa, green salsa, red salsa and a spicy red salsa. The salsa cups are tiny and hard to pour salsa into. Tapatio sauce is on the table with salt and pepper. The staff/possible owners were the nicest people. Came by the table several times to check to see if we needed anything. I asked for a sample of their rice. As many people know most Mexican restaurants have dry unflavored rice. We were given a side of rice which was moist and flavorful. They didn't even charge us even though I insisted we did. Over all I would suggest you try this hidden gem. We are definitely coming back as I want to try a simple bean and cheese burrito with that yummy green sauce. read more

My husband and I went today and this place is amazing it has that homemade taste I highly recommend visiting this little hidden gem. I tried thier red chilaquiles and it didn't disappoint. Tried Oscar Cafe for breakfast and it did not disappoint. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was really solid--great flavor, well-balanced, and clearly made fresh. The ingredients tasted quality and everything just worked together. The spot itself has a cozy, laid-back vibe, and you can tell it's a family-owned place that takes pride in what they serve. Definitely a place worth checking out if you're in the area--I'll be back to try more of the menu. read more

GREAT BREAKFAST Oscar has a large, diverse menu. It doesn't have so many options that it's difficult to choose. But it has enough options to mKe the menu interesting. Oscar is a genuinely nice, humble guy with great skills in the kitchen. He has standard American and Mexican options, and combinations of both. It's a cozy little place. I highly recommend it. read more

My friend and I tried Oscar Cafe for the first time today. I had the French toast combo and coffee and she had quesadillas, coffee and a side of fries. Everything tasted great, the setting was really nice and the place was clean. It's mom's and pop's restaurant and the owners (I presumed) were absolutely fantastic, they kept checking on us and asked numerous times if we needed anything else.
