However, as it was after hours, my home warranty company wouldn't cover the visit, so they set up a convenient appointment the next day to meet with my work schedule. Sul Salam was the technician who came to my home to address the issue with my furnace. He was incredibly friendly and professional. He identified the issue with my furnace right away. When my home warranty company tried to give him the run around over the phone, he was very persistent and advocated that they cover the visit (which they ended up doing, thanks to him). It didn't take him long at all to diagnose and fix the problem with my furnace, and he actually spent the vast majority of his visit on the phone with the warranty company. He didn't charge me for the extra time it took to ensure that the warranty company covered the repairs. If I ever have any other heating issues, I will definitely give AAC Services a call, and I will request Sul Salam by name. I highly recommend this company.

I just got a call back from the guy and he wanted to charge me $180 and hour for labor and also just to come out and check out what is wrong with our furnace. Maybe they do a good job on servicing and fixing your heating and cooling but there are a lot of places that do a good job too without ripping you off on the labor end of things. I called Prime Time Heating & Cooling instead and it was $69 for the service charge and they came out within the hour to fix everything. AAC, this is a poor poor way to treat people who are in need knowing they need heat on a cold winter's day. Be careful of these guys everyone.

I was by far the most impressed with Kristian. He had previously been an installer/technician but has recently become a sales person. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable; we actually enjoyed chatting too much! He explained to me that their company actually makes and installs new ductwork with their furnaces so that they don't have to retrofit what's already there. He was also the only one who noticed that my water heater was old and would need replacing soon. His quote was a bit higher than the other that I'd narrowed it down to, but I liked the Daikin furnace that he quoted because it has a very good reputation, the best warranty in the business and is environmentally friendlier than others. Additionally, rather than just doing a quote with line items, he attached pictures of each piece of equipment that would be installed, which I thought was a nice touch. I really wanted to go with him, but I had to think it over. In the meantime, I started to schedule a couple more appointments with other companies that offered 0% financing. I was going to wait to make my decision until I'd gotten the last quote or 2. But Kristian texted me on a SUNDAY NIGHT! to ask what he could do to help with my decision. I told him that if he could do 0% financing, I would go with him. He managed to arrange that for 12 months and I signed the contract that evening. Of course, this happened during an incredible heat spell, with temperatures in the upper 90s with matching humidity, so they couldn't get out as quickly as I'd hoped. When they were scheduled, Steve came out as the lead technician, with Brandon and Alex helping the first day and mostly just Brandon the second day. They got here at about 8:15 a.m. and didn't leave until about 7:30 p.m. BOTH nights! They worked super hard, hardly taking breaks at all, and they were short at that. Steve promised that they'd have the air conditioner working before they left the first night, and indeed, they did. It was the first time in over a week that I walked into a cool house. When Steve removed the furnace, he came upstairs and said that the water heater was about to blow, so I went downstairs to look at it. It was, indeed, bowing out. Kristian had already quoted a price but I was originally going to wait. But when I saw it myself (leaking, rusting and with a definite bubble), I texted him and told him I wanted that replaced as well. He was able to add it to the financing without a problem. So, in the end, I had a new furnace, humidifier, air conditioner, some ducts and a water heater installed. I have nothing but good things to say about this crew. They were all very kind, personable young men who knew what they were doing. I feel confident that I chose the right company to do this work.

I have used them for almost two years now and feel confident in their work to recommend them to others. First, their prices are very reasonable. I have had both furnaces and water heaters installed and can assure you that I have paid prices that are below market value. How do I know? I have asked other people in the industry who have affirmed that I got a good deal. Moreover, I checked at Home Depot what it costs for a new water heater and they charged me less for it AND to install it. In other words, the water heater with installation by AFM is less than what a single water heater with no installation costs at a big box store. Second, they back their work up. In situations where something did not work, I simply call them up and someone has come up to take care of it without being charged for a service call. Third, they get out their as quickly as possible. On several occasions, I have called a specific day and someone has come out a few hours later. They have also scheduled me in advance and have come at that specific time without any problems. Fourth, they pull permits, follow code, and communicate with city inspectors for you. They also will contact the manufacturer on your behalf to order a new part if something malfunctions. This is important since it means they honor their work and hold themselves responsible. This is actually quite rare in the HVAC industry. It is also worth noting that they are licensed and insured, which is not always the case with a lot of HVAC people. Fifth, they have an office and keep records. They do not operate out of a van like 90% of HVAC people who disappear right after you pay them. They keep records of the work that they have done at your place and follow up with you. Additionally, the staff there is very accessible and prompt. I have communicated with them through phone, email, and even text message. They really do build their service around their customers' needs. Anyway, unless you feel comfortable working on large mechanical devices like water heaters and furnaces that can potentially cause lots of damage and even kill you in the case of a furnace (i.e. carbon monoxide poisoning), I recommend using this company. I called a few places and no one had availability. Superior was my 3rd call and I spoke to Kevin. He spent probably 45 minutes with me on the phone, diagnosing the issue with my furnace - a faulty igniter. After he told me he probably didn't have one as my furnace is uncommon in Michigan (a Lennox), he directed me to a store where I may be able to find the part. I was able to find the part, and with his guidance, I was able to install the part and spent about $30 in total. This type of service may not have earned Superior any sales yesterday, but it earned them a customer for life. I will definitely be going to Superior when it's time to replace the AC, hot water heater, and furnace.
