I first had cervical surgery in 2015 to correct discs that were causing me to lose feeling in my hands and arm. Recently I had back fusion in October of 2020. Dr. Prusmack and David are probably two of the most caring and knowledgeable specialists I have had the opportunity to work with. They are patient focused, compassionate about what you are going through and explain everything to you in ways that are simple to understand and don't just jump into "you have to have surgery", they help you with all options before you elect surgery to "fix" your back or neck. I had consulted with three other Surgeons on my back who were recommended but never felt comfortable with any of them and all made me feel like I was just a number in the system or a paycheck. None of them didn't listen to me or what I was going through even though all the diagnosis came back the same. All just quickly looked at my chart and said "let's schedule surgery" without even trying anything non surgical before to see if it would help. Dr. Prusmack's and David Watmore's credentials are the best of the best. They takes a holistic approach with you. I was given vitamins, drinks, and other supplements prior and after my surgeries to aid in my recovery. I would completely trust them with their suggestions and course of treatment. If you decide to have a hip replacement the traditional way, you may need a psych consult. The Anterior approach is less invasive and the healing time is cut to about 1/4. My husband was discharged 2 days after his second hip was done. The next day, Friday, he went shopping, then on Saturday went to Parker days and on Sunday went to the Rennaisance Festival!!! However, I was able to get an assessment of several radiologists - the consensus opinion was that at best, the difference was 1/8th of an inch. Most people go through life not knowing that one leg may be up to an inch longer than the other. So a maximum difference is a bulls eye. I deleted my initial comment once I got a good report. I changed PCPs, and neither the new or old one had a clue. I went to a spine specialist (non surgeon), interventional radiolgist, chiropractor, and PT. PT helped a bit. The spine Dr. suggested surgery, but had no idea who to refer me to. It was awful that no one could help. I got Dr. Kimball's name from a post-op nurse who has seen his results, and I called for an appointment in early November. I was warned that he had no openings for consult until January and no openings for surgery until March, but advised to come see his PA, Sean, to see if I even needed surgery. I went for the appointment with Sean, and Dr. Kimball (after seeing my MRI) walked into the exam room, told me that I couldn't wait for his next opening, so he was going to make an opening in December. I had surgery the first week of December, and today I am 100% pain free. BEST NEUROSURGEON EVER!!!! Dr. K and Sean really are the absolute best!!! After an MRI and Xrays I was told I have spinal stenosis and was referred to Dr. Larry Lee at South Denver Spine. Dr. Lee came into his office early the next day to see me and I could not have been more pleased with his expertise and genuine concern for my well being. He took the time to explain exactly what was happening to my spine and suggested several options to ease the pain, everything from spinal injections to back surgery. After two sets of injections that did not reduce my pain levels at all, Dr Lee performed the necessary surgery on my back. The pain the shot through my hips and down both legs was completely gone after the procedure and have not returned. It has been six weeks since my operation and with physical therapy my recovery improves daily. Many Thanks to Dr. Larry Lee and his staff for returning quality back into my life so I can enjoy our Colorado retirement.

My previous orthopedic surgeon, postoperatively, said that there was nothing surgically, that could be done, I proceeded to spend lots of money and several months seeing a sports doctor and a physical therapist. At wits end,I insisted on a new MRI on my knee and was told by the sports doctor that she did not believe that it warranted surgery. Dr. Gersoff looked at the MRI and did other diagnoses that led him to believe that I had a small tear in my meniscus that was causing my pain. In addition, he patiently went over my entire MRI with me and explained exactly what it showed, remarkable! After my operation, I could walk long distances without pain. He had the most immediate opening which aligned with my timeline. Unfortunately he did have to inform me that I may need to look at hardware removal in the future, but I love a doctor who is transparent. His medical assistant Caley was also amazing. She checked my incisions and removed my stitches. While it was uncomfortable, it was still a great experience. They both have great bedside manners. Dr. Resig's timeline is different than the surgeon who did my surgery, as he will have me bear weight on my ankle sooner, but as daunting as it sounds, if I can get back on my feet sooner, I'll take it. My original timeline was non-weight bearing for the first 6 weeks, and this moves it up two weeks! I originally was going to go with a different doctor and office but their scheduler told me that they would want to see my X-rays, unfortunately I wouldn't be able to get it in time for that appointment so I looked elsewhere and I'm glad I did because I was stressing out about it.
