Biggest Little Baby is more than a resource, it's a lifeline for new and expecting parents. I moved…read moreto Reno as a travel RN, and within months I'd met my now-husband and found out I was pregnant. I didn't have a single girlfriend here, no family nearby, no one who really understood what I was going through. I was scared, and I felt so alone. BLB changed that. Milk Makers' Circle gave me a room full of moms who understood the exhaustion and the joy of breastfeeding. Music classes became the highlight of my toddler's week and mine too. Sarah's Comfort Measures class helped my husband and me feel ready instead of terrified for birth. Erin's prenatal massages helped me feel taken care of. Webster chiropractic care with Hannah helped turn my breech baby, and my doula walked beside me through the whole journey of bringing my son earth side at home. You will find a village here, one class and one appointment at a time. If you're a mama in Reno feeling even a little bit lost, please know this place exists. It changed everything for me. They have a library, a second hand maternity clothes store, community events, you can get fitted for and lend baby carriers. Check it out!!!

What an amazing event! I cannot wait for the Spring sale!…read more The staff were amazingly kind and helpful. The setup was clean and well thought out with so much selection (clothes, furniture, strollers, toys!) and easy to follow signage. The very best part? The value! So many good quality items at amazing prices! I think it's so amazing that this all goes back to the community! Locally owned by an awesome Veteran family, consignors in the area make money on their items and anything left gets donated to local charities!!! Thank you JBF Reno! Can't wait for the Spring Sale!

I easily found what we needed for a fraction of retail. As a seller, the support is next-level. Their Facebook group is active year-round with tagging tips, pricing guidance, and quick answers, so you're not scrambling just before the sale. It made the whole consigning process simple and worth it. The sale is well organized, clean, and easy to navigate. Checkouts are efficient, and I appreciated that items are inspected for quality. Pro tip: go early for the best selection, then swing back for discount day to scoop up final deals. Already counting down to the spring sale--can't wait to shop and consign again. If you've got kids (or kid gear to offload), JBF Reno is a must.

I am so beyond grateful for Dr. Styker and OMI! This review will be a little lengthy but I feel…read moreit's important because I've talked with several moms who felt their baby's head had a flat spot but didn't receive the advice or information to do anything about it (other than to do more tummy time and hope it rounds itself out), and their kids are older and it's too late to do anything about it. My son's head had a flat spot that we really started to notice around 4 months. Our pediatrician said to monitor it and wait and see if it got any better by 6 months and in the meantime do a lot of tummy time and make sure he wasn't favoring one side when he slept. After looking online it was apparent that the earlier the better to correct a misshapen head. So instead of waiting until 6 months I made an appointment with OMI. Dr. Stryker scanned my son's head and it shows exactly where the flat spot is and to what degree it's out of shape. My son's head was misshapen enough that insurance completely covered the cost of the helmet, making it a no-brainer to do it (no pun intended!) A misshapen head isn't just cosmetic, it can cause problems with their jaw, ear/sinuses, etc. We had him wear the helmet majority of the day/night for the first two weeks (we did take a break a few days during the day while we were on a trip but he'd still sleep in it), and his totally transformed in just those two weeks. From that point he only had to wear it at night for the next two weeks, and now he's on every other night for a few more weeks and then we will be done. So total time of him wearing the helmet will be about 1.5 months. It was never a nuisance and I could take it off on days where I knew we'd be taking a lot of photos (ie our family trip). So parents - if you're concerned your baby's head might be misshapen, just make an appointment ASAP with OMI. It's a free consultation and SO worth it. I found that the pediatricians tend to seem negative about helmets, so please don't let this affect your judgement. You know your baby and you know if something isn't right. Dr. Stryker is so lovely, straightforward, and reassuring.

One of my favorite features is the Walk of Presidents upstairs. The lifelike presidential statues are fascinating, and you can listen to each president's story as you stroll through history. Kids (and adults!) will also love the indoor Ferris wheel (only $1 a ride), the classic shooting gallery, arcade-style attractions, bowling, the candy shop, and the impressive aquarium. You could easily spend a couple of hours here even if you're not shopping. Don't miss the cafeteria if you get hungry. It's a great place to grab a bite, and while you're there, be sure to stop by the fudge counter. They offer free samples of their delicious homemade fudge, making it hard to leave without buying a piece or two! When it comes to shopping, they truly have something for everyone. Whether you're looking for clothing, shoes, sporting goods, camping gear, coolers, golf equipment, water toys, or just about anything for the outdoors, chances are you'll find it here. The selection is incredible. What really stands out is the customer service. Every employee I've encountered has been cheerful, friendly, and genuinely eager to help. Located at Legends in Sparks, Scheels is one of my favorite places to browse, shop, and spend an afternoon. Whether you're shopping, exploring, or just looking for a fun family outing, this place has something for everyone!
