I am a dental assistant (they did not know), so I have experience with pricing and quality of service. If you do not have Medicaid don't go here. This is best for Medicaid patients. This is a corporate office that has a list ranging from approx. $4k-$9k for braces (out of pocket and with insurance). Based off how they feel they will price you (Mild Moderate Severe). Pricing is not unique or individualize per case/patient. I have great dental health and simply inquired about getting braces to close a gap. The doctor proposes treatment for what they feel like needs to be aesthetically corrected and as a patient it is very important that you express what you want. To be quoted $7000 and not to be confident in the work is crazy. There was a lot of, "I can't promise you straighter teeth" or " I don't know how it would end up in the long run" is a sign you should get a 2nd or 3rd opinion elsewhere. I think with a large investment like braces, your orthodontist should be confident in improvements. In my case, I don't need braces, I just wanted them for cosmetic reasons. I do appreciate their willingness to explain treatment plans but $7000 for METAL braces on a mild case is insane. They advertise less than $200 a month payment but you're ultimately coming out of a lot. The assistants did great xrays, were quick and friendly. The doctor was friendly as well, but the value of service doesn't match the price. $7000 was inclusive of xrays, records, maintenance appointments and 1 retainer. There is no room for negotiation, no cash discounts. If you have private insurance or paying out of pocket you would be better off going to a more upscale clinic because the pricing would be the same with a more luxurious experience. I was told pricing is the same at all locations , this experience was at the Pilsen location on Cermak. read more

The Staff is rude and management is worse . I wouldn't recommend they don't care about the life of the teeth or gums only caring about money and not the true treatment required . read more

Be very cautious scheduling an appointment here. I lost a retainer a few years ago and wanted to discuss with an orthodontist/this office the amount of time and type of treatment it would take to get a retainer, but they refused to even start a consultation without getting an X-ray first. I mentioned that I was fine with getting one if, after an initial consultation, I decided that I wanted to proceed with care, but the orthodontist refused to even come out and see me unless I got an X-ray first. That's pretty rude and unethical if you ask me: I can't imagine having a customer make an appointment (which could involve taking off work) and then demanding that she be shot with radiation before I was willing to have a conversation with her. This type of behavior is so shameful in the dental field in general--it's just a matter of wanting to bill the insurance for an X-ray (something that, as a patient, you don't want to do unless you have a good medical reason for it). Just be careful when booking here and taking off work like I did; there are plenty of orthodontists out there who don't give the impression of sleazy used car salesmen that cares more about making a quick buck than providing you with good care. read more

I got braces June of 2022 and was told my treatment was 18 months for a crooked tooth to straighten. During the process multiple orthodontist were tightening up my braces and not the head orthodontist himself. They don't do cleanings. And at 18 months I was forced out of braces with the same crooked tooth they said they couldn't do anything else about it $3000 wasted. I did however report and file a complaint with my insurance for a refund from this place . Because my teeth look similar if not worst than before I got braces. read more

Love these guys! The staff here has always been professional & friendly every visit and I had a lot of visits! Expert care, from the front desk to the techs and the Dr 's. My teeth look great and I actually got to explore the lively Pilsen neighborhood every time I went there. I had braces on for 2 years, a pain in the butt but again, a very pleasant place to have a somewhat unpleasant experience. And way less expensive than a Lincoln park Ortho. I would highly recommend! read more

Excellent experience! We brought our daughter to get her Invisalign braces; the whole experience was fast and easy. The facility is very modern and convenient to get to (right next to 18th St Pink line). But what really sets this place apart is the staff; they are all very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Yvette the office manager was especially helpful; she made our whole experience exceptional. She made us feel like family. Highly recommend! read more

Orthodontic Experts Chicago - Orthodontists Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

They are nice, have lots of patience, they explained what they are doing while the were working.

This is horrible. I went for consultation on March. I was told that the consultation was free. After I checked with my dental insurance company, they billed "consultation" and "unspecified ortho procedure " which was total $425, it's processed, but luckily benefits only paid $30. And they also trying to billing $4700 pretreatment to my insurance. Anyway, I complained at Pilsen location and try to find out why they changed me. I am not even a patient there!!! The manager said she will contact billing department and call me back once they have an answer. But, NOBODY CALL ME BACK! After two weeks, I have to call Orthodontics expert directly. They said I am not responsible for these fee. The insurance will pay that. I don't accept this answer. Yes, I don't need to pay. The insurance did. But still, this is not right you billed my insurance company without my permission. I am not about to start my treatment there. I didn't signed for any bill. IF it's your company policy? Nobody told me what they will bill to my insurance on the consultation day. I would never know if I don't check the insurance claim history online. I did have consultations with other orthodontists at different places. This was never happened before at the other offices. This's horrible. Totally not acceptable. Scam. read more

Great until you are not able to pay them. They do charge late fees and they do not care about your financial situation. Solution; we will see you again when you can pay. Recently lost my job which meant losing dental coverage. Spoke with them and said listen we can't pay today i full but I can make a payment today and another within a few days. Trying to make every dollar stretch. Obviously I know this mean paying 100% out of pocket. They completely said no. Did not even say we understand let's working something out. So now my kid is stuck with braces, no continued care until we pay and he is uncomfortable. Literally if you go here make sure you are 100% sure you will be paying in full. Your circumstance does not change. ******UPDATE: Turns out the front desk was not helpful but was able to speak with the office manager. He was such a wonderful help. UnderstandMing of our situation and offered assistance during this transition. Thank you**** read more

I would never recommend this place. We go to the 18th St. Pilsen location for my daughter. Doctor is abrupt and rude, and even my 12 year old thinks so. So many mess up on paperwork as well. Thought my feelings will change after so many visits, but I leave even more annoyed every time. Not what a parent should feel after paying thousands of dollars for braces. Ugh. The clinic set-up is also a turn-off. No privacy whatsoever. read more

I would highly recommend this company to my family and friends. They are professional, courteous, and kind

Worse place for dentistry I've ever encountered. The parking is horrible and I got many tickets near this location. The staff and doctor were untrustworthy and unfriendly. My son's wire unraveled, and they told me not to come in for that. I was told to fix it at home. Other orthodontics offices charged a $1000 less than this office. I saw Dr. LeBlond once out of a year and a half. They didn't return the money I was owed. They told me I couldn't go back with my son, but they let other parents stay with their kids. I don't believe they were tightening my son's braces. The spaces in his teeth got bigger under this doctors care. The doctor tried to threaten when I decided to leave this office. The interest is very high with the loans they offer. My son's dental care was horrible. The doctor gave me racist vibes. The receptionist never gave receipts. BEWARE of this horrible orthodontic office on Cicero. Palos has better orthodontist then Orthodontics Experts. They didn't give any orthodontic care but the bare minimum. This doctor is in business to make himself wealthy. The doctor was arrogant and a snob. The doctor didn't monitor anything nor interact with his patients. WORSE OFFICE I'VE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF DEALING WITH. Orthodontic Experts should be closed. The doctor shouldn't be working with children. Avoid braces and taking children to this office. Worse location and bad parking. Don't waste your time or money dealing with this office or staff. read more

I received a phone call from the manager informing me that my case was denied . On 07/17 I talked with Julia from insurance company , she informed me that they had call the clinic and asked for them to send a signature from me and yet did not receive any info back. The insurance company allowed me to send the info required via email and informed me that they had never denied the appeal prior to 07/22.. Do your self a favor and call the insurance to double check :) read more

This place is clean and modern. I was here 12/29/16 to get my daughter braces installed. I felt like I was tricked when it came down to paying. I was quoted $4590 contracted insurance rate on 12/10/16. I paid $3500 my copay with my dental insurance first in full and then i was told after payment what teeth needed to be pulled due to overcrowding in which if I was told before hand the teeth thst needed to be pulled, I could have gotten those teeth pulled and she wouldn't have needed braces. So now they will keep milking me and the insurance for the next 24 months....I will update yelp and google as we go for treatment. Also the actual dentist does not install the braces the assistants do but the dentist supervises. The braces took about an hour and 15 minutes to install. The Groupon deal don't apply if you have insurance the braces were 6500 with groupon read more

This office has a friendly and very knowledgeable staff. They let me know step by step what would take place when applying the Braces on my son. Was initially impressed with the service however that quickly changed when I switched employers, and therefore insurance plans. It's been a nightmare ever since. The finance or billing departments are inept when dealing with insurance companies. The office continues to tell me my insurance is denied (because they repeatedly attempt to bill the former insurance company). My current insurance company never denied any claims because they were never billed for the services received. The company continues to send my child's bills to me. Now I'm thousands of dollars in debt all because the staff is incompetent. read more
