This place has parking and good selection of beer. They have outdoor seating which is nice. When I came here it was chilly outside and us along with some other patrons wanted the firepit out on so we could bask in some warmth. The barkeep or owner, whoever he was, started complaining about the cost of propane to turn the fire on. We were all confused because if he didn't like having fire pits then don't have them there. Also, it was cold out and no seats inside. We also came cuz we called and were told there was a food truck here. When we arrived there was a hotdog cart and they only had hotdogs. It sucked. read more

Great brewery. Loved it. Beers were top notch with every beer we tried (we had 2 flights) being REALLY good and a few were outstanding. They don't have food, but food trucks are frequent. Service was very good. 2 observations that I would call noteworthy - first, it's in an industrial park, so the location is a little different, although they still have a nice outdoor seating area. The second is that they have a cat that walks about, so if you have cat allergies - you should be forewarned. Neither of these oddities bothered me, but something worth noting. read more

Decided to go on a adventure on the way back from Orlando to home with a few stops and this was one. The brewery is a bit hidden and if it was not for Yelp I wouldn't of been able to enjoy a visit here. It is a quaint place with smiling faces all around. A bit smaller than some of the breweries I know but it is great for the neighborhood it is in. As we entered on a Sunday afternoon we were greeted by the cutest dogs and that made my friends visit extra special as she petted them for an hour. They have a nice patio area which probably is even better at night with all the lights I saw hanging. The beer I choose was the sweet mead. It was a honey beer and it was so good so I am excited to visit again when I'm back in the area! read more

First time to Ormond Brewery. My wife and I have a great time. The staff were amazing, friendly, and very helpful. The atmosphere was great, very nice area to hang out on the back. Love music, and food truck. Overall a very good experience. We will definitely be back. read more

Great place to have a quality brew. First of all, the bartenders are great. I never wait long for a beer. Even when crowded they seem to get to everyone quickly. They have a large chalk board with all their beers listed as soon as you walk in. It includes all the relative information including price for all the different sizes. The selection is amazing. I visit plenty of breweries, very few have as many beers as they do. Atmosphere is also very good. Get a beer and pull up a seat at one of the long high tops and you will find yourself engaged in conversation with strangers. I don't live in the Daytona area but visit often and I almost always make a stop for a beer or two and many times fill my growler.. If you like quality beer, great service and atmosphere you should visit this brewery read more

This was my second time at this brewery. This time they had an expansion party for their expanded tap room. Now that the taproom is larger it's a really great space inside with beautiful wooden tables. The outside is always a fun space with picnic tables and a fire pit area. They had live music going and it was awesome music!! Their draft list was amazing! I had to try so many so I ended up with a flight. My favorite was the gingerbread red ale. Second runner up was the honey cream. I love a place that has new and inventive beer menu. Their expansion included new bigger bathrooms which were super nice! I'm not from this part of town but this place is definitely a favorite when I come into town. read more

Love this local gem. Cool vibes, good beer, food's great. Staff are friendly and fun to hang with!

This is a great little brewery! I got a flight with four beers and each beer was unique and delicious. The inside seating area is cozy and the outside seating area is very roomy and comfortable. If I didn't live in another city, I would come here every week. read more

Ormond Brewing Company is a little off the beaten path, but worth the visit! Tucked away by the railroad tracks in a warehouse with plenty of parking, this quaint brewery, serves a great selection of their own brews and for those non beer drinkers, wine too! The staff are very knowledgeable and eager to find the right beverage of choice for you. Indoor and out door seating and tables with a firepit outside! Dog friendly too!! Such a chill spot too on a beautiful evening, bistro lighting outdoors. read more

The wife's assessment - the beer is great but these people are a bunch of assholes. More in-depth - OBC has some very good beers, and an extremely diverse lineup. Session IPAs, fuller bodied stuff, ambers, browns, porters - all good choices. Then they get into the more interesting stuff, like barrel-aged barleywines and meads and et cetera. They are all well-crafted, and while some weren't to my personal taste, it's obvious a lot of effort goes into them. Gets packed quick - we were in shortly after opening, and every spot (all 10 or so of 'em) was taken. Bartender worked quick to get us all served. *a choir of angels comes down from on high, carrying a huge banner that says "BUT!"* These other customers! We rolled in with a kid; our son, who has been to, easily, 40 breweries all across the country. From enormous InBev outfits in St. Louis to two-man productions out of a strip mall, he's been to 'em; and normal kid stuff aside, he knows what he's supposed to be doing. We come prepared for him, with his own water, snacks, and distractions. But to get comments from literally half the other people there; wtf. Maybe it's because Volusia County doesn't have a big brewing scene yet that attracts 30-somethings with kids AND expendable income, or maybe these Ormond people are just a bunch of jagweeds. I've been to places that cultivate this kind of customer base - and I will staunchly never return to them, no matter how good their beer is. I'll give OBC another shot down the road with the hope that this experience was a one-off. And to Ormond people who've never seen a kid in a brewery - it's 2017, if you can't handle that, go run backwards through a cornfield. read more

This is Ormond's first brewery, and I was so excited to hear about it! I was able to join their Mug Club, and I can't say enough good things about this place. The owners are very down to earth and awesome, and their beer is top notch. I live in Lake Mary but will be driving there just to enjoy the beer and the good company (besides, the nearest breweries are 30 minutes from me anyways, and I might as well drive a little longer to go to a place where I feel welcome). Definitely make a point to visit the taproom, you won't regret it. **EDIT: Regarding the business hours, I believe they do growler fills from 4-6 through the week, tap room is open Th-F-S. read more

Finally, Ormond Beach is catching up to the rest of the world with this awesome brewery. What this place lacks in size, it makes up for with it's beer and atmosphere. Ormond Brewing is situated in a warehouse where the taproom itself is very small with a bar that seats about 10 and not much standing room. However, they do have a great outdoor patio space with plenty of seating, a stage area for bands to play and some life size jenga! If this summer weren't so brutal, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a beer! They also have a food truck that comes out certain days! I've gone to Ormond Brewing multiple times while in town and have tried over a dozen of their beers and they are all great! They offer flights if you aren't able to choose one you want (trust me, it's hard) or if you want to venture out and try some new things you've never had before. My favorite....the Breakfast Brown! The staff has always been very friendly and even on packed nights where you need to squeeze through the crowd, they somehow manage to get you served quickly. If you're outside enjoying the patio area, they also have a serving window in case you'd like to stay outside to order your beer! How convenient! read more

Ormond Brewing Company - Tom the cat....kinda cool dude. - Breweries Near Me - Ormond Beach, Florida

What a cool little place for Ormond Beach. Very excited to see a local brewery here and well, it's about damn time! :) Took a few friends to check it out last week, and wanted to try ALL THE BEERS. We ordered 3 flights which had a taste of everything they had available on tap, and the 5 of us started figuring out our favorites. Now this was a little bit difficult to do, with so many and no cards to tell which is selection was. I tend to gravitate to the IPAs, and the Tomahawk was pretty good, but there were a few reds in there that were very nice. (Just not sure of what the names are.) The stouts needed a bit of work, but please, keep brewing! Other reviewers were right... this place is in the back of this particular industrial area, but there are a few signs that will point you in the right direction, so keep your eyes peeled. When you walk in, there is a little L shaped bar and a flat screen with what's on tap for the night. Walk outside, and there are the usual brewery suspects: connect four, giant jenga and a few picnic tables. The fire pit is pretty cool, but the coveted seats were spoken for long before we got there. Also wanted to mention, this place is dog friendly, so feel free to bring the pup. All in all, 5 stars for the killer, off the beaten path location, 3 for the beer (please keep at it! OB needs you), so rounding out to a 4 star overall. I'll definitely return next time I'm in town. read more

I give it five stars only because it's a local brewery and we need many, many more of these and everyone should visit. Technically, it only qualifies for four stars because of the location. You'll find this place in the back of a warehouse park - follow the signs to find it and hope one hasn't blown away. My friend and I visited on a Sunday afternoon while Gilbert was working. He was friendly and let us sample the local brews if we had any questions. Every single beer I tried was delicious in its own way. I wouldn't necessarily drink each one because it's not my normal style, but they were good. The bar is a little small and cramped. Hopefully they will be able to grow and move the taproom to a larger location soon. Outside was a patio, but in this Florida heat it would have been unbearable. All-in-all, I would definitely keep coming back to the place and everyone else should too. :) read more

My favorite spot in all of Central Florida. I'm a foodie but I love craft beers even more. I love that I have such a wonderful place so close to my home. I prefer the hoppy to dark ales and OBC does not disappoint. Although I'm not a Mug Club member yet, the staff make me feel welcomed and still lets me try new products not quite ready for the public. I love it here! My favorite beers thus far (i.e. after only two visits and having just moved here in July 2014) are the Bootlegger Series (I bought the last 4 tonight), the Tomahawk Red IRA, Breakfast Brown, 40 Weight Dry Stout, and I liked their new Oktoberfest better than most I've tried. I want to join the mug club even though I prefer to drink out of the 9 oz snifters! read more

This place is amazing! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and Gilbert made us feel like we were in his kitchen. Very welcoming. Gilbert's hospitality was 110%. Tucked away in the back of an industrial park is a hidden treasure; The Ormond Brewery. Inside you'll find a warm welcoming taproom with a crew led by Gilbert, the knowledgable and cordial taproom manager. The beer is brewed on site, and is absolutely delicious! Additionally outside you can find a fire pit, giant jenga, giant connect 4, and an overall good time. read more

There are some really cool historical racing photos from the area beach. Nice selection of beer and it is pretty tasty! Overall really good beer. My favorite from my flight is the Tomahawk, but I'm a little bias toward reds Oh, owner, Justin, is a pretty cool dude read more

If you read my reviews you notice I like craft beer. I was in Daytona for the huge Turkey Run car show so after leaving the show we stopped here for some beers. I have been here before so if in area I stop. Great vibe outside with games and a food truck that was visiting. Bartender was knowledgeable about beer and their product. Came here on a Friday to see my friend play music in the outdoor area. The place is not super easy to find, but is definitely a hidden gem among the rows of warehouses. The inside area is small, but has a nice intimate bar area with bar stools, a restroom, and merchandise displayed on the wall. They have many of their brews on tap, and a good selection of wine as well! My friend enjoyed a flight of beers and loved them all, and I had some fabulous wine. The best part is definitely the outdoor area - on a sunny day or cool evening, there is plenty of seating at tables and benches, and the fact that they offer live music is a plus! They also have room for a food truck, which there was one that night. This place is definitely making Ormond just a little bit cooler (we all know this city definitely needs some improvements!!!). read more
