Gatorland was started in 1949 by Owen Goodwin as a 1/2 day Family Attraction. It has since grown and now the Park has over 100+ Gators including a few albino's. Since I last visited the Park in 2018, Gatorland has added a Zipline with 5 lines which zip over Gators. This was an absolute MUST DO! The 2nd favorite thing I LOVE doing, is feeding the parakeets aka budgies You can purchase a bundle of popsicle sticks with peanut butter at one end rolled in bird seed. The Birds will flock to You and start eating. You can actually feel their "tootsies" on your skin and they are very warm. You MUST shuffle you feet to avoid stepping on the little ones who are pecking away at the dropped birdseed on the floor. My 3rd favorite thing is feeding the Gators. You can purchase Turkey hotdogs, break them into pieces and toss them to the Gators! They come swimming up to you to be fed. How COOL! My next favorite is the Gator Show which involves completely harmless Gator: wrestling. Basically the Trainer gently straddles the Gator and tips his chin under his. Be sure to come hungry as they have a cafe which serves, you guessed it: Gator bites/nuggets. They are SO yummy!Okay by now, you have figured it out: I LOVE the entire Park and highly recommend that if you visit Orlando, add Gatorland with Ziplining to your Vacay Adventure, you won't regret it!

Our favorite area were the crocs - spent a lot of our time watching them. The show we saw was great and we were able to get photos with the gator after. The hotel has a nice lobby with several places to eat and shop, and the front desk staff were helpful, friendly, and available at all times. It is also only about a five minute walk to Disney Springs, which was very convenient. The biggest perk of staying here is the Early Park Entry for Walt Disney World Resort parks. It took several days and phone calls to link my Disney app with the hotel reservation, but it was finally connected the day before arrival. If you cannot link the reservation in the app, you can request a card from the front desk to use for early park entry. The hotel also offers a free shuttle that runs daily from 7 a.m. until about one and a half hours after park closing. The bus runs only once per hour. One shuttle goes to Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, while another goes to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Because of this, it can take a bit longer to reach the park depending on where you are going. On the other hand, unlike shuttles at Hiltons, this shuttle doesn't stop at other hotels to pick up other guests. The shuttle arrived on time both when heading to the parks and when returning. The room itself was just okay. I had seen many photos online from travelers showing dirty rooms, but mine was actually pretty clean and well maintained. The biggest downside was the shower, which did not have hot water. I mentioned it to the front desk and was told a technician would come, but it did not seem to get fixed. I ended up taking lukewarm showers during my stay. The AC unit was also VERY loud when it turned on, so I had to turn it off when going to sleep. On the plus side, there was plenty of storage space and a fairly spacious mini fridge. The on site store and café open early and close late, which is convenient. However, the prices are quite high. For example, a bottle of water was nearly $7. Overall, if I were not visiting the parks, I would probably choose a better hotel for the price I paid.

If you have your Magic Band ready when you get off the plane, it's incredibly easy, and you just walk up and scan your Magic Band and they tell you what line to stand in. Line 10 is AKL for both villages and Coronado. A personal gripe of mine; I don't think Deluxe resorts should have to share busses. Before this trip, we'd always stayed at Polynesian and Grand Floridian. They are both Deluxe resorts, and they share with Contemporary, and all of those resorts are right next to each other, so it didn't really bother me. But this time we were at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and we stopped at Art of Animation and Pop Century before getting to AKL. I just think the Deluxe resorts are so much more expensive that they could get their own busses. In any case, I landed at the airport at 3:45, was on a bus by 4:15, and on resort at 5:07. I don't think it's worth the cost of an Uber to get there like a half hour faster, but that's up to you. One thing that's great about Disney is that you don't need to worry about transportation at all once you get there, and I really appreciate that. And if you check bags, you don't even need to get those, and they'll deliver them right to your room. I had a very early flight home though, and they picked me up excessively early. I got picked up at 5:30am for an 8:30am flight. I didn't have luggage, but if I did I could have checked it at the resort, so no one needs to be at the airport that early. I sat around for a good 2 hours before my flight. That might have been worth taking an Uber just so I could sleep another hour. It's still a great service though, and I plan to use it again next time. There's really no reason to spend extra on transportation when this is included with your stay.

It's great if you don't need to rent a car as you can use this bus service from and back to the airport. I highly recommend it. Then just use the free Disney transportation to get to parks and shopping. Never had a bad experience! Clean and comfortable buses, with professional courteous drivers. Charging ports on the bus along with TV's showcasing Disney info and trivia. They have this down to a science. Be sure to tag your bags correctly, and they will get them for you, and they magically show up at your hotel. The buses run on specific schedules and based on the time of your flight be prepared to leave a bit earlier to the airport. I read this service will end in 2022. Sad, as it's a terrific perk.

This hotel is perfect if you're going to Disney and don't want to stay at one of the resorts but want some resort perks. The perks I found convenient was the shuttle and being able to go to the parks before it officially opens. For the shuttle they give you a schedule for the parks so you know when you need to get there. And they have complimentary breakfast and have daily kickbacks from 5:30-7:30pm where you get 3 alcoholic beverages, or just unlimited sodas/juice, and random food items you can make a complete dinner out of. Housekeeping was always really nice, they came to our rooms daily and refreshed our towels and such. The pool was nice and clean as well. The employees there were very nice and helpful to direct us as it was our first time there. We did order pizzahut while there and food from the kitchen and bar. Both were pretty decent just the kitchen and bar food was expensive as expected. I will say although I did love the shuttles, I did not use it my second night. I think it's great for getting there and if you're doing half a day coming back in the afternoon is fine. But if you're coming home during closing it could be very hectic. At Disney there's a spot where you wait for your shuttle we and one other family were one of the first ones there and almost didn't get on the shuttle because they let all the ones who came after before us. And the other family was in a wheel chair so I felt they should've gotten on first. I did love that there was no resort fee however there was a parking fee. If you are military I would recommend asking if there's a discount as if you book online there is one. We didn't know that so they gave us a discount with parking. Our rooms were spacious for a family of 5 with two queens and a couch. We requested a playpen and it was brought to our room after check in. It had a sheet and came with a tiny blanket. The bathroom was decent. There were some spots where I felt it showed its age not a cleaning issue. All and all I would probably stay here again. It saved some money for our family as meals and with the shuttle parking for one of the days.

Our advice would be to order "for here" to get these delicious Mickey shaped hoodies on a plate. If you get them to go, they are severed in a bag. If you really need to take them, and don't mind the simple presentation, the to go bag is fine. We just preferred to see them all and eat them immediately, hot and fresh. There are so many activities around the property. They have bike rentals, including the kind that multiple people can ride that look like a carriage. The jazz music, architecture, and staff uniforms make the whole place feel like you're truly in NOLA. Check-in was super easy through the app, and our room was perfectly located--close to the pool, dining hall, jazz club, and laundry room. The smaller size of the resort made everything quick and accessible. Our room was great for our family of three, with two queen beds, a spacious bathroom, flat-screen TV, desk, deep drawers, tons of outlets, and plenty of under-bed luggage storage. Clean, comfortable, and very family-friendly. Food was solid, with everything from shrimp and grits to burgers and pizza. And the Mickey beignets are a MUST--honestly better than some in New Orleans. We loved the scenic boat ride--it takes you to the sister resort and to Disney Springs. We walked back from the neighboring resort, which made for a peaceful nighttime stroll. From Disney Springs, we took the bus back, which was super easy and convenient. Overall, an amazing stay. Beautiful property, great staff, and worth every penny. We'd absolutely stay here again because you're really getting two vacations in one!

It's one of the better Disney vacation club properties and it reminds me of the similar offerings at The Contemporary resort area, though the latter had bigger rooms which I give the edge to vs this. The bed is comfortable and the pull out Murphy bed that's well hidden over the couch was excellent. I slept on that for a week and had no sleep issues whatsoever. The kitchen was decent sized, the showers and bathtub were fine and the washer and dryer was very convenient. We had some nice treats waiting for us in the room and a fully stocked fridge which was helpful. The AC worked fine, the balcony had a nice view etc. Pretty much anything you could ask for that was great, it was here. If we have to split hairs my only thing was we only had one toilet in the room that was separated by a bunch of weird doors. It looked like the strange closet in the bathroom was meant to be another toilet but converted into a closet space, and it was inconvenient to have a family share only 1 toilet. But beyond that the whole experience was great. Also people know Wilderness Lodge has a few great dining options along with a boat that goes to other nearby properties and The Magic Kingdom.
