I was concerned after finding several black widows around my house that my newly walking baby would get bitten. After calling around for rates, Orkin had the best deal. On the phone I was told the first visit was $260 and then it would be $39 each time they came out after that; was told they came out QUARTERLY. Initial visit went well, the agent was kind and listened to our concerns and checked out our problem areas. We didn't see any more spiders. My rating is missing stars due to the fact that communication with this company is terrible! I was being charged monthly $39/mo, the first time I noticed the charge, no one had even come out to spray (I work from home). I guess they come out monthly which is not what I was told by the phone agent when getting a quote, this drastically increased the overall cost. They don't let us know before they come out. I never received a bill, contract, or email receipt until today. I couldn't even log in to my account online because I was never given my account #. Today an agent actually left us a paper invoice and I was able to cancel service. Again when I explained the error in communication, the phone agent who cancelled my service explained the payment and amount of time they come out differently. STEER CLEAR! And if you have to use them, GET A PAPER CONTRACT AND ACCOUNT NUMBER AT THE FIRST VISIT. read more

I highly recommend looking elsewhere for pest control. Our experience with Orkin has been incredibly frustrating due to a severe lack of communication and hidden fees. We were originally quoted one price, but they continuously raised the rates and tacked on unmentioned charges. When we tried to resolve this, the office staff--specifically Tori and Jacob (the General Manager and Account Manager)--were completely unprofessional and dishonest about the costs. Furthermore, their "satisfaction guarantee" is completely meaningless. Technicians routinely failed to show up during their scheduled windows. Despite paying them, our rodent and bug issues were never resolved. My husband ultimately had to go to Walmart to buy DIY products just to get the situation under control. I attempted to use their service. They came the first time everything went smoothly but they promised me they would come back two weeks later and spray free of charge. They lied they charged me two weeks later and never showed up. Called and attempted to talk to customer service and she said it was automatically set up to pay. So I took that they set it up for autopsy every two weeks not once a month. Never did get my free service like they promised. Will definitely stick with their competitors from now on. I've had the worst experience with Orkin. They make you sign a contract and when it doesn't work they say in order to get your money back you have to let us at least try to fix the problem. So, I told them to get someone out here then. I have a roach and mice issue. Had to tell them exactly where I was seeing the mice and they didn't lay any traps anywhere I didn't. Like.. they can move around the house as I'm seeing them other areas now as well. You would think a pest control company would know where to place these things. As for the roach problem they tell me "well that's a process". ... um okay? I've hired others before and first time being out the roaches were gone. That was years ago till someone parked their RV across the street from me. Now I have them again. Orkin is awful. Please find someone else. I could go to the store and get better more affective traps for $5. They are a waist of money and time. Im still paying them at this time. Probably will cause they will not give my money back and have excuses as to why it doesn't work. With them taking my money I can't actually get the problem taken care of effectively. Still have roaches and mice. Orkin has been out 4 or 5 times in 3 months. I do also want to clearify my roach problem was a mild infestation, it was not bad. I figure take care of the problem befor it gets worse. They did scatter them throughout the house though. Part of what they tell me is thats all normal they are going to scatter, but did not set bait in any other places throughout the home. They did spray. Roaches crawling strong and proudly. Mice running around like it's a marathon. Very dissatisfied customer. I paid them up till March of 2025. I was so happy to hire someone and it's crap. read more

I should have read reviews before I started into service. Makes me wish I would have found a local to use. $260 start up fee for first service and other than using a different spray for mosquito I sprayed more since I moved here than they did. Believe I was told there would be a general inspection or whatever to explain the start up cost. Nothing. The guy who came super nice but looked at me like I was supposed to tell him what to do. Dear Mike Davis, I am writing about my account number 30408867 on 537 E. Elder lane, Mustang, OK 73064. The reason I am writing is because my phone calls have gone un-answered and unwelcomed. I have called the number on the invoice several times, and today I receive a collections notification. I am sticking with my guns, and not paying this bill. It's not ethical that I pay for a service that kept requiring me to call someone out to my home for a consistent bug problem, when my initial call was a RODENT problem!!!!! I did not ask for anyone to SPRAY my house with ANYTHING! I called and spoke with a female in your office several times, explaining that every time the gentleman came out, we had a different bug issue. I didn't call in with a bug issue. She told me that she would take care of the bill. This was not so obviously. It started with a trail of ants from the dining room into the kitchen, the day after the first visit. After he came back the second time, the house was covered with spiders. The 3rd time, we actually found a cockroach. Which is outrageous!!! One single cockroach is not logical. If we really had cockroaches, we would have had thousands of them. Since we have discontinued service, we have experienced ZERO bugs and ZERO rodents! We have not had another company come out to treat, so I know for a fact, that the problem was Orkin and not my home. I rejected the treatment in November and told him NOT TO COME OUT!!!!!! I did not get serviced on November 19th. No one came to the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again. I do not believe that paying this last payment is good business precious due to the untrustworthy spray tech, and that's all he did, was spray the interior or our tiny house. I understand that they don't "bring" bugs into the house, but did he put booties on to keep the eggs from spreading from house to house???? NO! Ridiculous. We have used another pest company in the past that has always been good, but we had a big problem with some bugs with stingers this year and he doesn't usually deal with those types of bugs and can't do weekends so we called Orkin. Although it was expensive, it seemed worth it since they could come out that day and do the full treatment plus general pest control. They said they'd be here between 2-4 and could call 30 minutes prior to coming. HOWEVER, pretty much everything said over the phone was a lie, according to the pro who came. They rang our doorbell at 1 without calling first, waking up both kids from nap time (we have a baby and a toddler) then when asked about it, they said "that was a lie on the phone. We never come past 1 on Saturdays" and didn't even acknowledge not calling first. Then they supposedly never found a nest or anything and said they're attracted to our bushes so they'd spray, but we'll probably continue to have the problem. They also said they were only here tor the wasp issue and not for general pest control. My husband told her that's not what was said on the phone and that it's okay if there was miscommunication but that wasn't our fault and we want what we paid for and what was discussed. So she went ahead and sprayed everywhere. Of course, everything with Orkin prior to this was a phone call where they go over everything and "make note of" everything you're discussing but you get nothing in writing to prove anything. The service I have received from my technician has always been wonderful. Unfortunately I will no longer continue business with this company due to the schedulers. Something changed with the schedulers a few months ago. The communication is SERIOUSLY lacking. They would call to schedule and I would calll back to tell them it was not convenient and I would reschedule but they would not tell my technician I rescheduled. There was also a time when I called and have them new payment information but they did not relay that either. The final straw was today when they flat out lied to me regarding why they did not leave a message last night. I refuse to have a business relationship with a company that is dishonest. This branch was recommended to be by one of the housekeepers at work. And to this day, they have yet to disappoint. Once every other month and the bugs, which belong next door, stay away. the apartment complex i currently live in uses orkin as pest control. about two weeks ago i told our manager that our apartment has bedbugs, and she told us that orkin will be here in a week to check it out. A WEEK. when they first came to inspect it, all they did was look out my box springs and the guy said "yep that's bedbugs, i'll be back sometime later next week to spray for this" they were supposed to spray our bedroom and living room, since they were only on our box springs; they didnt even spray my bedroom, they didn't take the bottom fabric off the couches to spray. they just threw my living room furniture over and left it like that. my bedroom still has bed bugs in it. AND the guy that came out to spray kept questioning me why i had a bed bug protector on my mattress and box springs if i've never had them before, and kept asking me why i haven't thrown them out yet. VERY unprofessional. and they don't know what they're doing. read more

Very underwhelmed with the level of service given for the price. I called Orkin for a mouse or possibly rat problem. I had been trying to trap them myself with no success and had finally had enough so I called an exterminator. I started with Orkin and its my fault for not calling around. They charged my $127 dollars to set 9 glue traps and put about a qtr size of metal mesh over a small hole in my water heater closet. What is funny is I had a trap set right by the hole he covered up and actually caught one of the mice while the technician was here on the appointment. If you are having the same issue. Save your money. You can get glue traps at home depot for 5 bucks. read more

Stephen is the Orkin man who comes to our home on a regular basis, and last night I called him directly because we found a fiddleback spider in a box next to my toddler son's bed. We know that we normally have to schedule service calls via the central number, but since the situation was alarming to us we didn't hesitate and called Stephen directly. He received the call kindly and agreed to come out to our home first thing this morning -- presumably prior to his already scheduled day.
