He came back a few days later with Kevin and inspected and treated my house for termites at a reasonable cost. These folks are laidback, very polite, no hard sells, but they know their stuff and how to eliminate pests. Truly amazing! We noticed termite activity on a Saturday night and messaged via Yelp on Sunday to Western Pest Control, with questions and an estimate. I was not expecting a response until Monday. But, Kevin surprised me and messaged back with answers and an appointment for Monday, to do an estimate! He came out Monday afternoon and showed me multiple things, educated me on pests and wrote down a quote on his business card. He said he would email me the specifics so I can share it with my husband later that evening, which he did, he followed through in that as well. We had contacted another person with a different company. They said they would reach out... that was 2 weeks ago. The other company never contacted us back. It was a sign to go with Kevin at Western Pest Control. Plus, we prefer companies that are family owned. You normally get more of a one on one communication. The larger companies, you are just another customer, another $. He had an opening today to do the termite treatment. He showed up with his partner in crime, Mark. I LOVE their uniform shirts! 2018 is apparently a bad year for spider infestations (or a good year if you ask the spiders). But the thing that pushed me over the edge was the House Stark Dire Wolf af-lookin' Spider that was just waiting for us at the front door when we got home. Big ol' pile of NOOOOPPEE. Anyway, I hold the opinion of Joe C. in high regard, so that kinda clinched it for me. Well, that's partially a lie. I hold a good deal in even higher regard, so WPC wasn't the only place I called. There was another pest control company that I was considering, but their pricing confused me: (1) They required multiple treatments, but (2) they had the bright idea of charging more if you signed a contract for the multiple treatments, and (3) the price would be higher on the first one, but lower on the second or something? It was several kinds of dumb. Thankfully, WPC responded to my request at around the same time, so I didn't end up arguing with the other place about how stupid their pricing structure was. WPC doesn't do contracts either, and as far as I can figure, their pricing is fairly competitive. Certainly more competitive than the other place I contacted and on par with some other places I looked into. Kevin is very helpful and informative. He took his time explaining what he was doing, and pointed out where I could make slight improvements to reduce the pest problems. For example: don't leave your outdoor lights on all night (there goes my attempts at CPTED...), because lights attract the flies, the flies attract the spiders, she swallowed the bird to catch the spider, she swallowed the cat to catch the bird, etc. I was still having some localized issues with spiders and wasps a few weeks later, and I contacted WPC to let them know, and Kevin came out and did some spot treatments. I greatly appreciated that. I'm sure I will need additional services in the (hopefully not too near) future, and I plan on using WPC again when the time comes. The no-contract thing alone makes them my first choice, but the excellent customer service, and friendliness/helpfulness of Kevin reaffirms my decision to use WPC. But you spiders need to GOMB, or I'ma do something regretful. read more

Western Pest Control just blew us away with their heartfelt customer service! How did they do this? Well, we have been fighting Carpet Beetles in our kitchen island for two years with out success. This problem only existed in the kitchen island where there is NO carpet or other material to feed them. Our first pest control company was happy to spray and spray but would not even entertain the idea of trying to figure out the problem. Goodbye to them and enter Western Pest Control and Kevin the owner of this wonderful FULL SERVICE COMPANY! I hired Western Pest Control to spray 2 times a year (no contracts required) and a few weeks after spraying our home the Carpet Beetles woke up and began to share our kitchen again. I immediately called and left a message for Western Pest Control but it was the weekend so they called me back first thing monday and the same day Kevin came to the house and spent at least 2 hours crawling around in our attic searching the vent above the island and just trying to find where the little beasts were coming from. Two days later Kevin returned with his tools and camera and drilled small holes into the bottom of the cabinet. With his camera he was able to see a terrible infestation, mostly dead and was able to treat the source of our problem, Kevin then sealed the holes and our problem has been irradicated! I will say that Kevin did not charge for the initial 2 hour consultation and the small fee charged to solve our problem was extremely modest. Kevin never asked for a review from us which in itself is very rare, but he and his company, Western Pest Control, truly deserve to be recognized for their uncompromising dedication to solving the problem and making their customers happy.
