His team did an incredible job removing a very difficult tree safely. They are definitely experts in their craft. I can't recommend KB Landscaping enough! From scheduling with Kelsey over the phone, the in-person consultation with the owner (Matt), to the landscaping crew-- their work and generosity was outstanding! Matt worked diligently to get me on the schedule immediately. The products he uses are high quality and his pricing reflects the amazing work his business provides. After he learned we are a military family, Matt went above and beyond to make sure we were more than taken care of! Everyone I interacted with were so sweet and respectful, thank you again for all of your team's hard work and for supporting military members/families!! I hired them to clean out my flower bed (lay new tarp, mulch, prune plants, remove dead/dying plants). The crew even went a step further and cleared out my tree bed and laid new mulch, which I didn't even ask them to do! 20/10 service!!! I am so excited to continue using their services! If I could give negative stars I would give a lot. This company is out to just screw customers over. They were paid over $11000 to put in French drains. They told my parents it would take 2 days. We are 4 months in now. They work isn't finished, their backyard still floods, there's exposed piping, the ground isn't graded appropriately, and everytime Matt (the owner) is contacted he's rude or doesn't respond at all. And when we try to get him to fix the terrible work done he says it does its job and you're always still going to have standing water. He changes his answers from 10 inches of rain (which we haven't received) to 2 inches of rain. He's never come out to check the work. He showed up to the house and threatened my family and made us feel unsafe and said "him and his guys would show up if we didn't pay." And then threatened to go into the backyard and tear it up. Do NOT use this company ever. Just read other reviews and look at BBB. He also has a BBB sticker on his trailer which is a complete lie. He is not backed by them at all. Learn from this mistake. We now have to pay another company to come fix it. read more

Short(ish) version of this 1 month long fiasco... Called KB to come give me a quote on a sprinkler system. While walking the job, he sold me on doing other work at the house. Deck repair, landscaping etc. He told me he would throw in a bunch of stuff for free (which ended up not getting done or I was charged etc) and that he takes care of veterans. The bid came back at $12k, which was high to me... But my wife and I decided to get it done. I paid half up front and work started a couple weeks later. Once started, Matt or someone from his "crew" would show up but only every few days and for an average of 5 hours per week to work, which has made this 5 day project (based on his bid) last over 30. Meanwhile they are posting pictures of all the other jobs they are doing while my family and I are living in a muddy construction site. For a week or so, mud, pallets and his tools were blocking me from using my garage or my front entrance to my house. Every day it was a new excuse or new promise that would all fall through. "I'm so sorry, this is crazy, we will make it up to you" etc etc. Every day for weeks now. Many times they wouldn't get here until 4pm and work until 6pm. I could tell they were doing other jobs and ours was just their side project, which we paid $16.5K for. I'm not your cousin, Matt. You don't get to do my job on your spare time. On top of all of this, every single task they have worked on has had to be redone at least once due to poor quality. Like, horrible quality. Some of these are still ongoing to this day. Wood screws poking through hand rail, cables for the railing are popping off nearly daily, sprinkler system not working, painted our sidewalk while painting the deck, missed entire sections of paint on the deck, railings not square, shattered 40% of our flagstone and ruined our yard with his ride-on which has forced us to now pour concrete and sod the entire yard. The list goes on and on. 30 days later, he had not been here in a few days (more promises and excuses over the last three days to show up, never did). Then finally on 4/20/2020, my wife called to tell them the work needed to be done in the next two days or we would file a suit to get some of our money back so we could pay someone else to do the work/repair what he had broken. He then starts yelling/cussing and talking over myself and my wife on the phone. I have recently heard from a handful of others who have been treated the same. One of which is another disabled vet (see pics). Miraculously two sub-contractors show up to fix these issues and what took weeks of delaying to fix, was fixed by two other companies in a matter of hours. BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY SHOWED UP AND WORKED. I still have a few things I need to fix that he broke, tree needs to be trimmed that he didn't do, pavers relaced that he shattered etc. To me it was just worth telling him that we were good and to have him go away. We didn't want to deal with him anymore. The way I see it, this is how this should work. 1. You do the work on the bid. 2. For the price bidded (or close). 3. In the time bidded. 4. And then we pay you in full. I was the only one who held up my end of this deal. I paid them in full 3 weeks ago because I was trying to be nice. Big mistake. Look at the BBB. I am the 2nd person in 2 months to have this exact same issue with him. Should have done my research first... Stay far far away from this guy. I've never seen anything like this and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Best thing is that we touted about how much he was going to "take care of me" for being a disabled veteran. I give two stars because i couldn't give 1.6, the true score. I should have been warned by the fact that when they came to give a brick patio bid, they came without tape measure or pen and paper. The owner talked big about doing the job to his quality but, in the end that is a very low bar. the detail given to my job wasn't up to my standard, especially at the cost. i actually had to finish grouting some gaps, make it safe for grandchildren and relaying dirt to make yard drainage correct. i give 3 stars for laying the brick ( his team did work very hard, just not enough experience) 1 star for the finishing the job to MY standards 1 star for communications ( I never knew when they were to show up, i'd get text of one day and it never was correct. as well, at end of work i was Never approached by owner to give or to get progress of project.) Additionally, they tried to charge more for the job, siting increase in materials. that would have been a 100% increase in the costs of materials used. Fortunately, i had a firm contract thru text message. Side line: they cleaned out my front beds "for free" but ended up pulling up five perennials. This is a sad day when you have to write a negative review on a business run by your friends. On 11/14/19 I contacted Matt Black, owner of K & B Landscaping, out of Yukon, Oklahoma, to get an estimate on a wooden fence and bamboo removal. Got the contact from a friend I closely worked with. My story sounds like many of the reviews I have since read on this company. Lots of promises, and no follow through. A contract was made on November 15, 2019, which stated that the chain link fence would be left in tack behind the new wood fence. The chain link fence was shared with neighbors behind and beside me. I requested the fence be left because I have small dogs and wanted the extra protection of both fences. Matt asked me if he could use the chain link fence poles to the rear of my house when putting up the wooden fence. I told him he was the expert, and I would let him decide what would be best. When the fence was done, the chain link fence on the side of my house had been completely removed. On the back fence, he removed the top rail of the chain link and slid new 8' poles over the existing 4'poles. The new poles allow the fence to sway back and forth when the wind blows. On 2/4/20, I told Matt that the chain link itself was left flapping in the wind, not connected to anything. He said his workers should not have left it like that. He asked me to contact the two neighbors involved behind me for permission to go in their yards. I got permission from one neighbor on Feb, 29 and told Matt. On March 26 I told him that I got permission from the 2nd house behind me. The owner was also concerned about the hanging chain link and asked for Matt's company name and phone number. I gave it to him. On April 7th, I sent Matt a text because I had not heard from him since March 3rd. He did respond and apologized, saying the delay was due to rain. He said he would come by mid-week but I never heard from him. On April 14th, I contacted him again and said it was an eyesore to the neighbors. His response was, "I'll let you know when I can do that". On April 25th, I sent a text and asked Matt not to forget me and the chain link but got no response. On June 13th, I sent still another text to Matt and told him that I was disappointed that he hadn't responded. In late July I sent a text to his fiancée, my co-worker, who no longer works with me and told her the story. I never heard a word from either one of them. I sent a letter and email to K & B Landscaping on August 14, letting them know I would be writing reviews about the mess they left my fence in and have yet to hear from them. read more

My parents had contacted KB Landscaping for a quote on grass and a facelift on their lawn. KB provided the quote and received the payment as requested. Communication was not great for lack of better words, days & weeks went by with zero communication or work done. A couple of workers "showed" up ONE day to work, and did for a total of 4 hours. Within those 4 hours the yard was completely scalped, dirt piles, destroyed... scalped! There was numerous attempts of calls & text messages asking when someone would return. The few times there was a response it was "we are short handed and have to hire someone". "We had an emergency with a worker", or zero response. After weeks/ over a month with zero work done other than a scalped yard we decided to look for another company to do the work. The total amount paid up front to KB Landscaping that was requested was $2,714.50; after much disappointment the total amount returned back was $615 for the 4 hours of a scalped yard is what is left to be shown. We highly suggest to not use KB Landscaping if you are wanting a company that is dependable, job done in a timely manner, follows the agreed contract & will communicate with you. Lesson learned on our part but wont happen again & hope this review helps someone else not be put in the same situation. read more

We had a great experience with KB. We used them for a front flowerbed re-do where we completely tore out the old and added new including new plantings, trees, shrubs, boulders, etc. The experience was great and we got all the things promised, and more. No complaints whatsoever. read more

They did not finish the work they were paid to do and when he was notified about it he was aggressive and blocked all communication so we can't contact him. Poor customer service and basically he stole our money. read more
