I started service with Orkin again, they added a mosquito service to my account which I understood to be a one time service/charge. Then it came out of my account again for the next month, $73.14 in addition to the $51.41 I pay each month. I called in early August right after the $73.14 charge came out, I talked to someone, they said they cancelled it, now it has come out of my account again. I also was supposed to get services done on 8/21/25 between 1pm and 5pm, and here the guy came at 10am when I was not home, so I am paying for services I didn't even get because they didn't come at the right time they said they were coming. I am cancelling all services with Orkin - I do not recommend them, in addition, they don't allow you to access your account online for you to monitor what you are enrolled in, etc. Do not use Orkin. read more

Again after all the treatments, heat and then spraying they found live bed bugs on the cot where I am sleeping. I sprayed just the legs of the cot and they got upset with me. I asked them would they want to sleep with bed bugs? Just left this morning. I called the board of health and they want a written statement from Orkin. Called Orkin several times and no reply. I told them the bugs are coming from mu neighbor. Said they can`t do anything about that. She, my neighbor must call. That isnt going to happen. I`m getting an attorney because I should get a full refund. And they said this was the last treatment so I am supposed to live with the bugs? Terrible experience for me. I want my money BACK. The job wasn`t done. Again my neighbor is to call Them/ She said she will call the cops if I message her again. All that money and still seeing bugs? I have been charged for 5 months in a row and my problems with ants and hornets weren't addressed. After canceling the services, I was still charged for an extra month and no services were provided. Manager received all communication in writing with specific complaints that weren't resolved, and declined to give a refund. read more

KEEP AWAY FROM RATT DBA ORKIN. If I can rate them negative I would. They are horrible. They came out to treat my new home and did horrible work. We are still having problems with all types of bugs and getting them out here again is a nightmare. They have cancelled every follow up appointment on the day it was scheduled. They also installed new bug retardant insulation in our attic and that was done incorrectly. Over $5000 out the window. They had to come back to try and do it correctly and then never came back to inspect. I complained about it and they finally called. I will not allow them into my house. They are unreliable, unprofessional and we do not trust them at all. They also keep trying to sell you additional services. Please do your self a favor and KEEP AWAY from R A T T DBA orkin pest. I am thoroughly disgusted with Orkin Pest control. They have earned their low score. I ordered monthly tick & mosquito spraying around the 20th of each month. Then I noticed I was getting billed every 2 weeks! So I called about the scheduling being wrong and I was told the service would be rescheduled to the 20th. Then I was charged for service on the date that was changed. I requested a refund for that charge, which has yet to be approved by the manager. I requested a call from the manager, and was told that both managers were unavailable. I have no recourse but to dispute the charge with my bank. Don't trust them for accurate scheduling or billing. I had to put one star to post this message, but they really deserve none. read more

Scheduled service several weeks ago 10/28. Appt was a no show 10/30. Appt was a no show 10/30. Spoke to Orkin man across the street and I was not on his schedule 10/30. Called in to local office and was put on a 'brief' hold. I hung up after waiting four minutes 10/30. After 40 minutes and no return call I tried a 1 878 #. And was put on hold and eventually was disconnected by Orkin 10/30. Called local # Ann Marie. Was put on hold while I was transferred to a Manager and after 8 minutes I was hung up on or disconnected. My daughter is a customer of yours just across the street. I will be sure to communicate everything with her and any other neighbor and friend I speak with. I worked as a technician for this branch for a few months. Jason and rich were nothing but professional And knowledgeable all around great guys. As a veteran they were extremely flexible with my many VA appointments which I thought was pretty cool considering the workload they have to manage. In my professional and honest opinion and experience there is no better pest control company. The girls in the office were always extremely pleasant and great to work with. All in all I was very pleased to have the opportunity to work for and with such an outstanding company. read more

Coming from someone who used to work there, this is a great company. However, they need to hire people who actually have customer service backgrounds and experience. As an employee they frown upon anyone who as any kind of illness. They have no sympathy whatsoever. If you use this company, ask for Chad or Eric as a field inspector. They are absolutely wonderful to deal with. As in the office staff, Brittany M, and Renee are wonderful CSR to talk to and they can help you with most anything. They are very knowledgeable. The company as a whole is a good company but people don't end up staying because it's a poorly run office and like I said before they frown upon people with serious illnesses. Also while working there I have had field techs yell and scream at me. I'm sorry I have worked in very professional offices and this never would have happened. Is there a less than one star? Multiple times we had no call, no shows. I was on hold for over two bourse to complain one time and no one heard my complaints. They didn't even solve my bee problems. Couldn't be more enraged and disappointed. The guys who did show up, were nice but what a joke and waste of money. read more

This was the worst company and service ever. We discovered we had something called bird mites which only affect birds but they came into our house from a nest that was made by birds in the air conditioning wall unit. They spent 10 minutes treating for the mites that were gone right away, but they quoted to remove the nest everywhere around the property included on the front porch. They never came back to remove all the nests and charged $1100 for the service and continue billing for not coming. Awful!!! read more

This is the worst service !!! After researching on the website about their service . When I finally get someone out all he does is put traps down and bait for $153 I could have did that myself! They claim they personalize every service I have a 5 yr old son and they put 2 traps under my kitchen counters very visible . I asked was that ok there he states as long as ur child doesn't touch it! I called them in because I wanted year round maintenance and living in the mountains I was having a problem with carpenter ants. I had them crawling all over my walls and I didn't have any leaks or wet wood. I should have known better when the gentleman they sent out to do the original consult told me that he was called in by an elderly lady who thought she had bedbugs and they turned out to be stink bugs. He said he called his boss to tell him they were just stink bugs and his boss told him to tell her they were bed bugs and charge for that. Ok.....Why would you tell someone that? So your boss is a thief??? But stupid me, I went for the contract. They sent someone out to the handle the ants and do general pest maintenance. He proceeded to tell me Ehrlich was overcharging people to treat bed bugs because they use heat to kill them. FYI...I've researched bed bugs extensively because I'm terrified of ever getting them. Heat is the way to go. I was told Orkin sprays for them and you should "think of yourself as the bait". You have to keep sleeping in the bed and let them bite you so the poison kills them. And really "just think of them as mosquitoes. They really aren't that big of a deal". They are NOT mosquitoes and they ARE a big deal. So he then proceeds to spray the inside of the house for carpenter ants. I asked if he was going to take a good look around to see if he could see where they were coming from and eliminate the nest. No, he was just going to spray inside and out. This doesn't eliminate the problem. I kept pushing for baiting. Everything I read said baiting was the way to go. You must eliminate the nest. He told me "baiting doesn't work. I don't even know if I have any on the truck". And according to him once he sprayed, the ants will not take the bait anyway. I told him he could spray 3 sides of the house and I wanted the one side with the most visible ants baited. He found some bait and put it in the mouse traps around the house. Within a week there were ants everywhere except the side of the house that was baited. I had him back again. I also told him I didn't want any glue boards put down. I hate those things and I have ringneck snakes that I happen to like having around and they get caught on the boards. Inside the house I have cats and I don't want them getting on the boards either. Not to mention that it is a horrible way to die for the mouse and even worse for a snake. Now you might not give a crap how they die, but I do. I don't mind them outside where they belong, I just don't want them in my home And if I have to eliminate them I want it to be the least unpleasant method possible. I open the door to the air handler room in the house, and there's a glue board. He put "pet safe" mouse traps with poison in them in the big garage. Ehrlich used a solid bait that was locked in the traps. Orkin used little packets of poison. When the mice finished the poison they pulled the poison covered packets out of the traps and left them all over the garage. This is NOT pet safe. How is that even legal???? That is dangerous. So I got totally fed up when I opened my dishwasher and it was infested with carpenter ants. I had had enough. I ordered some Advance carpenter ant bait and some Terro carpenter ant bait from Amazon and started baiting myself. I watched these ants that weren't supposed to take the bait because of the spraying go crazy for this stuff and carry it away. For 2 weeks I washed my dishes by hand because of the ants in the dishwasher. I also washed the floors everyday to eliminate any pheromone trails left by the ants to the source of food. After 2 weeks I had ZERO ants anymore. They were gone outside and inside. Also, I started to notice that it looked like parts of the rugs in my guest bedrooms were bleached along the walls. Then I realized that the bug spray was sprayed in those areas. So not only did I have to take care of the carpenter ants myself, my rugs are bleached out around the edges of the rugs. I cancelled my contract after just a couple of months with them and received a phone call several months later asking why. I explained why. I was told they had "fired a lot of people and if I wanted to use them again I could get a discount on my monthly bill". No thanks. I'll do it myself. And if I need further treatments I will call Ehrlich again. Yes, they are more expensive. But they are thorough, friendly and seem to love their job. In fact, recently I had to call them. I had a horrible experience today with Orkin Exterminators. They were to be at my house today at 1pm to inspect my home after seeing a 2 1/2 foot snake in my backyard on Sunday, April 9th. I drive all the way home and meet my dad here, patiently waiting for them to show up. After 20 minutes, I finally call the company inquiring about why no one has showed up to my appointment. I was informed that whoever I spoke with on MONDAY, 2 days ago, registered me in the system but failed to schedule my inspection in the computer. After expressing much concern about a 2 1/2 foot snake in my backyard, a young dog who suffers from anxiety, AND threatening to call a different company, the woman on the phone made no effort to work something out. She just told me to call back if I wanted to reschedule. No ma'am, you can forget about my business. I am appalled that there continues to be companies that have such poor customer service. read more

Garbage company. Do not do business with them for real. I called and scheduled a one-time service to take care of mice. Little did I know they gave my wife a monthly contract when they showed up without telling her. Then they called me to set up a second visit, which I thought was strange. Called customer service, and they told me it was part of the initial visit -- just a follow up, and it was free. The actual manager of this branch did not call me back until after the second visit (obviously) to discuss my questions about whether or not I had unwittingly been signed up for a monthly service. I was very angry with him, and he agreed to let me out of the contract for free. What a nice guy! But of course he still charged me for the follow up visit (turns out it wasn't actually free, thanks customer service lady!). This is an incompetent company. Do not call them. read more

The guys they sent out did absolutely wonderful work. I had two over the past year, and both of them were equally knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I had a couple of different issues with my previous provider (over-charging, not changing bait packs or checking the original ones they setup, lack of expertise, and ineffective) and to say I was skeptical would be an understatement. They absolutely blew me away from start to finish. They showed up, went over all of the issues they could find but were honest when they admitted it might take a few visits to nail down where they're living. Each and every time they came out, they arrived on time, with a plan, and worked very discreetly. Within the first 2 visits, at least to me, the problems were all solved and according to the technician, after 3 visits they had the issues figured out and would simply need to maintain from that point forward. Since then, I've had absolutely no problems and have had a couple potential long-term issues uncovered and fixed. Simply put, these guys (and presumably, gals) are smart. read more
