The buffalo sauce is pretty bad (hot is not spicy at all, and very little sauce). Garlic Parm is an upgrade from Wings over, but this is only reason this is not a 1 star review. Blue cheese dip was changed to Hidden Valley ranch dressing packets? Pretty gross

Always cooked crispy to perfection without having to specify, which is how it should be. No stretchy chicken skin or rubbery meat found here! Each time we visit, we get three orders of wings to split and usually another sauce or two on the side to try. We really enjoy the dry rubs and they don't skimp on the seasoning either. There's always plenty floating in the bottom of the basket for extra dipping. I couldn't go through all the wing flavors we've had since that would take quite some time, but you should definitely try the Chupacabra and squeeze the lime. The sweet potato fries with Chipotle aioli are definitely worth getting too. Just a heads up, this place can get REAL busy during peak times (ie: Friday and Saturday night), so plan your visit accordingly. There are usually 1-2 bartenders who are also acting as servers, so it may take a few extra minutes, but it is well worth the wait. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming. TLDR: Great local bar serving up the best wings in town. Give them a few extra minutes to serve you if you show up on a Friday or Saturday

Don't be mistaken: this place is your quintessential hole-in-the-wall. The only seating is four or…read morefive stools along a counter; it's primarily a take-out place. And the neighborhood ... well, it's not exactly the best. That being said, it has some of the best Puerto Rican food I've tasted outside of my grandparents' kitchen. (My coworker tells me that the name is Dominican, but even she agrees that the food is Puerto Rican.) I realize that the name says 'Fried Chicken,' and they do have that as well. But if you head a little further back into the restaurant, they have rice (white or yellow) and beans (pink kidney beans, which I grew up calling habichuelas), and stewed beef or chicken. I've been coming here for years and have tried pretty much everything they offer (except for the fried chicken, ironically). All of it tastes just like the food my grandparents used to make: soul-satisfying and full of flavor. (Side note: sometimes their stewed chicken is a little dry, so I recommend trying the beef first!) Their portions are huge, especially considering how little you pay. I usually get a small order of yellow rice, beans, and beef and I always end up with at least half of it left over - not bad, considering that it's only around $5. (Another side note: They only accept cash, no cards.) All in all, if you're looking for good Puerto Rican soul food, this stuff is worth braving the rough neighborhood. Just remember to lock your car. (Seriously.)

The portions for the meats were very big. My husband got ranch beans and sweet potato fries for his sides. While the sides were small for both of us, the sweet potato fries were for a family of 4... HUGE portion. He got at least 2 meals out of it. My sides were the Mac and Cheese which was very cheesy and delicious as well as the tomato cucumber salad. I love a good cucumber salad. Like I said before, those sides were very small. I wish I could have just had a plate of sides. The pickles they give you were also very delicious. I also don't like cornbread which came with our orders and theirs was actually sweet and moist. But like I said, as a person who really does not care for BBQ, a plate of sides would be amazing. We also got the 'Jalapeno Honey' wings which were a good size, but I didn't taste much jalapeno or honey for that matter. They were just kind of mild. My husband loved his meal but he does prefer Big Ed's BBQ in Matawan. Our whole meal was $80 which is quite a lot for no waiter service, just counter. The food was very quick and the service in general was okay. We probably would not be back, but it is worth it to check it out. They had a steady flow of customers throughout the time we were eating there.

All that said, these weren't the worst wings, just 100% how I don't want them. The absolute star was the chicken fingers. Nice chicken, thick, juicy, and awesome batter with a super crunch. It was like Korean fried chicken. Loved the sauce. I did the fries loaded, which just meant the sauce was dumped on the fries and another chicken finger was cut up on top of it. It tasted great, but was probably unnecessary. 100% I'd go back for those tenders.

I saw some reviews saying that the wings didn't need sauce and were good on their own so I ordered sauce on the side to test that theory. I would not agree, the sauce is needed...not in a bad way. The wings are super crispy without the sauce though so that's a plus. Tenders are huge, the Wow! sauce for those was very good. The loaded fries are yummy as well, would def recommend them. The red velvet "cheesecake" was more like a regular red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. All in all I would recommend it.
