Really?! I'm the first to review? My Elite Yelper friend missed this one?! I get carry out from this place almost every week! Very authentic Chinese food, with super nice service! We usually get the crispy fish (kids favorite, there has been flights over this dish!), string bean, beef with Tofu, Yangzhou fried rice. If you are brave, try the century egg congee, that's my favorite. For 2.95 or 3.95 you can get an order of wonton soup containing 6 wontons stuffed with large shrimp and ground pork. They also have very authentic chinese style BBQ items such as BBQ chicken, duck and pork. For orders over 25 you can ask for a free small order of chicken fried rice, another fave of my kids. Oh please allow me to explain the rating, I would've given this a 4.5. Only reason not a 5 is the dine-in area is clean, nice in summer but in the winter would get cold since the door opens right into the dining room. read more

It's a small place and it's quite easy to miss. But I really like eating @ this place. Food is GREAT with reasonable prices + good portion size. There's only one cashier that does almost EVERYTHING. But if you are not in a rush, definitely no biggy. read more

I love this place! I live down the street and I have been going for years! Their sesame chicken and pot stickers are my favorite and the staff are wonderful! Everyone is very friendly, portions are good, prices are good, place is clean; just an awesome family owned place. They have great lunch and dinner specials, and the best part is when they say 15 minutes they really mean 15 minutes. I've never had to wait for my food and it always tastes as delicious as the time before. Highly recommend this place for your casual take out night or if your looking to have a quick meal out. read more

I've been driving by this place for around 10 years and wow I have definitely been missing out. Great Chinese food all around. They have your classic Americanized Chinese dishes but make them alot better than the competition. My favorite part of the menu was the authentic Chinese dish specialties. The salt and pepper shrimp was divine and the Stir Fried string beans are amazing. I would also recommend the Mongolian Beef/Mongolian Chicken and the fried rice is pretty solid. Everything is spiced perfectly here and all the spicy dishes had just the right amount of spice. This place is great, one of the best places to get Chinese food in the burbs and the prices seem to be slightly below other places. So I am hoping to upgrade this rating soon. I found this on Yelp but did not have a menu. It was not online, so I just called and placed an order, really for whatever, but wound up with Hunan chicken, which was supposed to be spicy, but was not at all, and pot stickers. Once I got to the restaurant and got their menu, I saw that they have an excellent selection of Authentic dishes, which of course, is what I really wanted. They have Peking Duck, which I will for sure be getting next time. Anyway, the Hunan chicken was just fine. It was not spicy, which was not that big of a deal, the husband and I just added some good old rooster sauce to. But veggies could have been a tad more crunchy. I was not disappointed with overall flavor, for americanized chinese. Huge portion for $8.95. The pot stickers were overly large, that is the dough portion. Again, not a big deal, just don't eat all of it. The sauce served with it was lackluster and disappointing. But I can tell, this place has potential with it's authentic dishes. That is why I will be eating here again soon to re-rate this for it's large menu of authentic chinese food. Seriously, peking duck! Yes please! This is a little place with about a dozen tables located at the end of a strip mall. It's a little known gem. Great lunch specials and a good assortment of Chinese and Cantonese. Congee on saturday and sunday. Friendly staff . The patrons seem to be predominantly chinese. Lot's of menu items you don't normally see. Very authentic Canto Chinese food here! The lady there is so nice too. I don't order the American Chinese dishes too much but seems like from the reviews they're also done pretty good. Their beef chow fun is super!! and everything else reminds me of legit Chinese restaurants in San Francisco or even in Southern China. It's a small modest little place so don't expect seating will be anything grand but these places are usually best for Chinese food in my opinion! read more

I've been frequenting this place for a couple years now. I find that it is the best value for Chinese in the area. Lunch special is a great deal, and you always get plenty of food. Delivery can take a while but service is usually fast if you go there. Don't expect fancy decor or ambience. It's basically like a cafeteria. This is my first not so great review.The place was spotless the woman who was working Oh so sweet and kind. The food was fresh good but bland really bland no pizzazz .I had beef chow fun asked her to add pea pods she said no problem,there isn't anything the wonderful lady wouldn't do,chow fun is usually made with sesame oil that's what gives it that unusual flavor that I love ,I ordered Won Ton soup it came it was a large bowl it was good as well but bland I kept adding soy sauce to try and give it more flavor.My husband had vegetable soup .The vegetable were so fresh but sorry bland.He had I think three happiness fresh but bland .If she spiced it up I would go there all the time. read more

Went to try this place based on good reviews on yelp. Upon entry, I was greeted with a confused look (because I was alone and didnt look chinese I guess). Anyway, so i get seated and get myself a free chinese tea - delish! I order their lunch option (6$) with Chicken Kow (chicken and vegies in white sauce) , get the crab rangoon instead of egg roll and some fried rice. The crab rangoon was very good, crab filling with what I thought was cream cheese, very tasty. The fried rice was just average, just fried up with soy sauce, no vegies in it my friend! And here comes the worst part, the chicken kow smelled and tasted of oil that has been used to fry something multiple times (know what I mean?) It was just bad and lacked any sort of flavor. I could not eat it beyond a couple of bites. Its a nice little deal to have lunch for 6 bucks but I should have ordered something else may be. I am not sure if I will come back here again! read more

Called on several occasions and was told there wasn't a delivery driver. Most recently the owner gave me 3 separate excuses as to why she couldn't deliver my food. First she said there wasn't a delivery driver. Then she said there were more chefs working before for their small business- what that has to do with food being delivered; bubbles float in my head. She then talked to the driver once more and he told her he had too many orders and he was the only one working and couldn't do it. Seriously? read more

Terrible!!!! We ordered lunch for my entire office and half of us could not eat our food because it smelled so disgusting. The rice was burned and made the entire meal smell awful. We called and let them know our issue, and they told us they would replace the meals for us; when we called a few days later to use our credit, we were told they would only replace the rice even though they told us they would replace the entire meal. After explaining this to them and the fact that their bad rice ruined the entire meal (it was all in one container) they STILL would not give us more than complimentary rice. They also told us they would not deliver it to us either, and did not have a delivery driver available the first time we ordered either. Horrible food, horrible customer service! They just lost an entire office of customers. read more

Always good food. I have been ordering from Oriental Taste since they opened. The restaurant itself is simple, clean and service is always good. The food never has disappointed. I used them to cater a shower and everything was just fabulous. Food is ALWAYS hot, well prepared and seasoned appropriately. This is my go-to place for great carry out Chinese food near my neighborhood. The whole family enjoys it every time.

Went for lunch with my adult son. His veggie lomein had no flavor. The noodles tasted like spaghetti that was tossed in watered down soy sauce. Yuk! Since that took up 3/4 of the dish, he sent it back and refused to eat there. My shrimp chowmein Cantonese style: the shrimp was perfect, however, 3/4 of the dish was noodles, totally burnt on the bottom, with all the grease left on the plate; as for the onions (french), the cook decided to put the ends, that had many black, rotten marks in the food, mostly trying to hide them beneath, so as not to be found!?! The veggies in my dish included some julienne carrots and tons of bean sprouts. I like bean sprouts, but not as a main feature of my dish! Although my son liked their egg rolls, I tasted the veggie and the regular, and the skin was so thick, it deterred from the potential good flavor. Maybe their other dishes are good, but when a cook hides burnt noodles and rotten onions, I say 2 thumbs down. Oh, the lady was pleasant, but we weren't the only ones in the restaurant. read more

Wow! My husband and I tried this place for the first time tonight and it was SO good. We ordered sesame chicken, vegetable fried rice, and crab rangoon. It's a pretty small place, but sometimes those are just the best. That is definitely the case here! I didn't realize it at the time, but the sesame chicken comes with a side of white rice. This could have saved us an extra order of rice, but it was worth it to be able to try the vegetable fried rice. We will definitely be eating here again. read more

This restaurant has been open for at least 6 years or so, so it's not new. It's tucked away in a corner of a strip mall, not readily visible from the street. Hence I've passed it many times and never really noticed it until this week. I am a Chinese food fan, having eaten at many restaurants in the area, and have developed a rather selective taste bud for what's good. After having been there, I appreciate reading other reviews mentioning where the owner came from (apparently moved from Chinatown due to heavy competition). I did not read any reviews before ordering because I like to give an unbiased 'first impression'. Here's my first impression: The front is clean and neat. Several Chinese speaking customers sitting at a table. So far so good. I'm a bit taken by the display of (apparently) a plastic fake chicken and other meat items hanging in a display (as if ready to be plucked for cooking). I started thinking "H1N1" of all things! Anyways... I ordered 2 items off the menu. First, chinese chicken with vegetables over rice, and second, chicken fried rice. The first dish was a nice presentation for carryout with vegetables and meat sitting on top of rice. Lots of bok choy and some lemon grass and onion. The second (chickent fried rice) more conventional, with the carryout box loaded to brimming with fried rice mostly, and it looks like a few onions in there. The first item had fresh veggies but the chicken tasted old and 'off', I didn't eat it. The fried rice was dry and VERY salty with wayyyy too much soy sauce, so I ate only two bites. Needless to say I was disappointed in both items. There's other restaurants nearby that offer better, so I'll stick with those for now...but this one has potential. I wish this restaurant the best and if I see future reviews that show they've upgraded the quality of their fare, I'll be back! read more
