It was inevitable, price has increased. 2 item combo is 10.99 and 3 items is 11.99 I come from time to time and even though the price has gone up, this is still the spot for my American Chinese food fix in this area.

Something about old and dingy hole in the wall restaurants that I really enjoy. Place is a budget friendly Chinese take out restaurant that doesn't skimp on the portion. Sure it isn't amazing food but the food is good and the people that work here are very sweet and have been there forever. I will continue to support this Ma and Pap joint as long as they're business.

Menu

This place is a perfect for those who likes Chinese express, it's one of my go-to place

IMHO We were searching for another Chinese take-out place that offers party trays, after our favorite closed. We've lived on the eastside for over 40 years but had never been to Orient Express, which has been here for 30 plus years. It was a tad dark when we first walked in, and the lady behind the counter seemed slightly startled when she saw us. We asked her a few questions about party trays and if there was a paper menu to hand out. No paper menus, unfortunately. She showed us the two sized trays available but didn't tell us any prices. We decided to order a lunch box of two items and choice of chow Mein, or fried rice for $9.99 plus tax. Our food choices were the chow mein, garlic chicken w/ veggies, and Peking spareribs. They give generous portions, and I weighed the box when I got home. It weighed a whopping 2 lb. 5 oz.!!! I only wish they had a larger menu choice for their party trays. They don't offer my favorites of salt & pepper chicken, or salt & pepper pork, crispy fish, etc. Will we return? Sure. The price is right for quantity portion. (Cash only.)

The lady that serves the food at this place is the nicest person you would ever meet. I been going here for many years and food never disappoints. The one little inconvenience is that you have to pay with cash, but it's seriously not a big deal and the person serve a lot of food for a great price.

Food

Very good sized portions for the price. Hole in the wall nice service can't wait to try the other food

Ok fusion Chinese food, the great thing is they pack the to go box and really fill it up. I love supporting these kind of places but my benchmark is always panda express, reason for review rating is the panda versions are better than what I got here. Orange chicken, had a lot of breading, the chicken was a weird color though everything was cooked properly and tasted fine. Fried rice had very little vegetables and egg, I would just consider this a soy sauce rice and it would be fine, the good thing about it was it as not too oily. Would repeat, maybe it was an off day, do like the huge portions they give out here!

The best bánh mì sandwiches ever!…read more Duc Huong has hands down some of the most delicious bánh mì I've ever had. The baguettes are freshly baked with the perfect crispy exterior and soft, airy interior. Every sandwich is packed with fresh, crisp vegetables and incredibly flavorful BBQ pork. The combination of textures and flavors is absolutely outstanding. I was genuinely surprised by just how delicious these sandwiches were. I only wish they had a location closer to Walnut Creek! We ordered several sandwiches to-go for my parents, and I really appreciated that they packaged the vegetables separately from the bread so everything stayed fresh and the baguettes didn't become soggy. Pro tip: When you get home, lightly toast the bread in a pan or toaster oven and keep the vegetables refrigerated until you're ready to assemble your sandwich. It tastes just like it was freshly made. Highly recommend! I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area.

Lots of quality pork. The bread was especially fresh and flaky. Definitely a great value. 8.5/10 Nuoc Sam ($3.50) was their sugar cane drink. We arrived a little after 7 and it was not busy inside for a Tuesday. It seems most people take their food to go. They do have ample seating inside if you come with a group which is nice. The ambiance inside was nice. A lot of fun decor and even a cutout to take funny pictures. They even have a tv playing music videos with modern music. Cool vibe! You can order via the kiosk with your card or at the counter whichever you prefer. We all ordered individually from m the kiosk and had no issues. Since there were seven of us who ordered, some orders arrived later than others. I can understand this since they're alls full filling online and delivery orders. I ordered the Texas forever hotdog since I love bbq and made it a combo with regular fries and soda. They get bonus points for serving Coke products, especially Coke Zero. My friends ordered hot dogs , corn dogs and the truffle and bulgogi fries. The stand out hotdog for them was the truffle dog! I recommend their business!
