We had a brand new he/she "shed" that we wanted designed which included everything...and I do mean…read moreeverything... down to electrical, exterior color, walls, window cover, floor, lighting. What we thought was a pretty big undertaking Carter made it look simple. She's very efficient and knows the process of construction and design extremely well. No detail was too small, and it was the little touches that really proved to us that she is really good at what she does and she enjoys it. What's great about Carter is that she really does expect perfection and she really honed in on what we wanted for our design based on conversations we had with her from the get go. We now have an amazing haven on the canyon that perfectly matches the surrounding scenery and provides us a getaway in the middle of the city of San Diego. Thank you Blythe Interiors and big thank you to Carter! When we get ready to design more of our house, we know who to contact. We have since that learned Carter has moved to Spokane, WA and opened a Blythe Interiors there. Carter moving to Spokane is a loss for San Diego of course, but a huge win for Spokane to have access to such a seasoned and knowledgeable designer. You won't regret using Carter/Blythe interiors for all your design needs in Spokane. ....ben

Carter was able to meet with us first in person and then plan, design and work with our contractor virtually during the entire 8 month project. Having Carter as our designer through this process was truly a blessing and her talent and knowledge was worth every penny! She really helped us to understand our style, narrow down design decisions, get the most bang for our buck, and answered SO MANY questions for us which made us feel supported and confident throughout the process . We love everything about our "new" home and have Carter to thank for the care and details throughout!

Rob was super responsive with correspondence and we even got a personal message from Dave Gerard, the President and Owner. He explained the process and kept us feeling comfortable about this undertaking. Shana kept the team on time with scheduling, and they performed the work in early April, right after we closed on the house purchase, to address our concerns about a reading of 37.8 pCi/L, when under 4.0 pCi/L is within EPA recommended range. We gave them a floor plan sketch ahead of the work day and they already had ideas coming onsite as to what options they'd exercise to run the piping. They took extra care to ensure we were in approval of their recommended mitigation route and explained every detail to us. Our review comes nearly 7 weeks later because we wanted to check our new exposure readings. We just had the opportunity to test our radon levels post-mitigation as we were waiting for ideal conditions with weather and avoiding days when we had multiple contractors coming in and out of the house the last few weeks. To our happy surprise, the levels came all the way down to 0.7 pCi/L! Thank you team at Advanced Radon Technologies. We can breathe easy now that we know the radon gas is kept out of the house!

I've been using Elizabeth's services since September 2024. Then in December of that year she…read moredisappeared, no phone answers, and didn't get back to me until February. Up until then she was 5 stars. This happened again over the summer, gone for a month. No warning, no contacting her clients to let them know she was out of town. She said I could always get hold of her on FB or Yelp, but that didn't work either. Once more, December 2025. I contacted her through Yelp and 2 weeks later her regular assistant Chad contacted me. Chad usually handles the kitchen and laundry room. Elizabeth handles the dusting, vacuuming upstairs and down, and the bathrooms, all for $200/month. This time, Chad handled the regular work he does, but not up to par on the stovetop. He did vacuum the living room, did not do the stairs, upstairs hallway, or either bathroom. Most of the dusting wasn't done, only 2 table surfaces in the living room. He had me pay him directly the $200, and trusting he'd gotten everything I did so. When I found out later that he hadn't done all the work, I contacted Elizabeth through both forums. No reply. I'm seeing other reviews that are having similar experiences. Chad said he was trying not to lose clientele; too late now. I'm hiring someone else.

These guys see dozens of people a day, and most are wearing a mask. I purchased an entry door for my home. I brought in my existing door to transfer the measurements. All holes were drilled correctly to the right size, the hinge areas were routered out, the door was sanded, cleaned, and stain ready when I picked it up. The craftsmanship in the door shop is excellent, and my customer service experience was great. Ask for Quentin Black, and he will take good care of you. Thanks Ugly Duck! Jim M. Spokane Valley

Going to Ugly Duck seemed like a good way to save some money on our huge project - remodeling;…read morevirtually gutting the entire home. We ordered 16 interior doors and one exterior door. First, I never received a printed out invoice. I have looked in all my files and don't know how I missed asking for one except that I was busy coordinating work and scheduling contractors so didn't follow-up. Second, the interior door jams were not paint ready like we had asked for but since I could not find the invoice to double check what they had written down and was busy with other things, I let it go. I decided it wasn't as big-a-deal. Lastly and the reason for this review is the oversized exterior door with glass panels that we purchased for over $1000 (by memory because again - NO INVOICE with the price). We had it stained and installed. Right away it didn't seem to fit right but since we had already spent the time/money, we tried to make it fit. It just got worse with time. I had three different contractors come out to try to fix it when finally someone put a level on the door itself and said that the door is not level or warped and suggested I call Ugly Duck. He also told me that his company don't even buy from Ugly Duck anymore because of quality issues. Since we paid so much for the door, it shouldn't be failing after 2.5-3 years. I called and was called back and told that they wouldn't stand behind it because there is a One Year Warranty - again - no paperwork with our purchase. I was asked if I wanted to buy another door!?!?!?!?!?!? Are you kidding me? $1200 into a stained/installed door that shouldn't fail in 3 years and I am asked if I want to purchase another door? Yeah right. I will be buying another door - from someone else.
