Knowledgeable, thorough, responsive. What more could you want when you're dealing with lice? Love the mobile aspect. Worth the extra money. I've referred Organic Lice Guru to many others since using. Jessica brought calm energy and made it less stressful for myself and kiddos. She called it a "spa day!" Haha! Hope I don't have to contact her anytime soon but if I do need it she's in my contact list now. read more

My daughters were both confirmed by the school nurse to have lice. I've heard from other parents how it could take weeks to fully get rid of lice by way of self treatment. Being a working mom of 3 kids with a deployed husband, I knew I didn't have the time to spare to check their hairs every day, let alone take the risk of my own head being exposed so I took them to Organic Lice Guru in Sorrento Valley. I found them through Yelp. When first placing the call, Jessica answered right away and was able to take us in that very same day. She was super patient with answering all my (hyper) questions and provided helpful tips. She made this hairy situation (pun intended) into a less stressful time for all of us. I ended up buying the fabric protection spray and also got the spray for hair, which both smelled nice. The salon smelled nice and had a big screen TV to pick anything on Netflix. There were also some toys and books for the kids to play with if there was any down time. Jessica was able to bring in 2 additional staff to check 4 of us and they were quick and efficient. We came back for the 4 day follow up which took much less time and were still clear of lice and nits. As a tip, if coming from the south, Google maps had me turn right on Daffodil Dr. which couldn't be found. The right turn is in a driveway of a brown building labeled "Sycamore" and on the 2nd floor (before Sorrento Valley Blvd). 5 stars for responsiveness, flexibility, professionalism, natural products used, and comfort. read more

I found Organic Lice Guru on yelp on a Saturday night at 9:10 pm. I had been battling with lice on my daughter for a whole week. The website does state we can contact them 24/7, but I thought, yeah right on a Saturday night! Well not even a minute later they replied! They assured me that they could take care of the problem and have someone come Sunday morning. India was right on time, she was friendly, patient, and made my daughter feel at ease. She made sure every single nit/lice was gone from her head. I regret not calling them earlier, as I had already spent money and taken time off work to try to take care of this myself. India came back for a recheck and my daughter was in the clear! Thank you India and team for helping us! read more

When my daughter started itching her head constantly, I didn't even think lice. And then I saw something move! I panicked. I bought Rid shampoo and treated both of us right away, started laundry, & bagged up all the stuffed animals. But with a newborn in the house, I just couldn't handle the continuous treatment with chemicals! So I called Jessica. She was amazing! I scheduled an appointment a couple days later since we were out of town for the weekend. When she arrived, she put both me and my 4 year old at ease. Lice are gross and I felt dirty, but Jessica is such a gentle spirit that I instantly knew that it would all be ok. My 4 year old didn't complain at all through the comb out process and hasn't itched since. Not only did Jessica clear us of lice, but she also educated me on how to continue monthly checks as well as how to prevent future infestations. If we ever get lice again, I won't be quite so freaked out! Jessica also offered to help with educating our preschool families on how to check for lice and lice prevention for free. She is truly amazing! read more

We had the best experience with Sarah. It was so easy to schedule at the time that was convenient for us and when she arrived she was fast, efficient and she got the job done. We had a recheck 4 days later and there was no sign of any lice on either of my children. Friendly and reassuring. Use Organic Lice Guru--you will be very glad you did! read more

I found out my daughter had lice and yes I tried everything at home. Spent 100$ at Walmart with the special Treatments, shampoos and preventative sprays. However even after hours of combing through her hair and a very detailed spring cleaning, she still had Lice. I just couldn't shake the feeling that I had it too (thankfully I didn't). So I found these pro's online and decided to check them out! It was super easy to schedule, very professional and they just made the process so easy! Sarah was our technician and she was knowledgeable and friendly and made me very comfortable with the process. The salon was clean and comfortable and easy to find. They even called to check up onn me a few days after treAtment to check in and see how we were doing, how thoughtful! Definitely worth the investment aNd peace of mind. read more

The organic lice gurus have come out to the preschool where I work twice to check everyone after exposure to lice. They are so calm and kind which puts the parents at ease, and even more important they are great with the children - including the ones who are reticent about getting checked. When we found lice on my 8 year old yesterday morning, it's safe to say we all immediately had anxiety! We tried the RID method, and afterwards still found eggs and 2 live lice. Almost 4 hours later, my daughter had it and couldn't stop crying. I called several lice removal businesses and even booked an appt with someone else. However, when Miguel returned my call, he made me feel at ease, that I ended up switching her appt to organic lice guru. Although we had a slight misunderstanding, Miguel and his wife completely worked with me. The technician, Gina, was absolutely amazing, efficient, yet so thorough! Although I would NOT want this to happen again of course; I would most definitely use their services again. read more

Before I decided to make an appointment with Organic Lice Guru I tried to handle the situation myself which not knowing what exactly to look for (I haven't had lice since I was probably 6) made it really hard to do, I finally gave up and gave them a call. They were super prompt in getting me in quick. Though my schedule prevented me from going in the earliest date possible, they can most likely take you ASAP! I'm so glad I made the appointment because the tech STILL managed to find live lice and plenty nits despite my attempt at it for a week. The atmosphere was comfy for how comfy you can possibly get while getting lice removed haha and the tech worked very efficiently. I'm very pleased with my service and I am planning on going in for a recheck this week and am hoping I'm all cleared! read more

My daughter comes home from work with lice. On a Sunday to top things off. I call organic lice guru. Got a call back within 30 min. They had a technician doing another job and I would be next. They kept me in the loop that other job was taking longer than expected. Well. The technician showed up. Was very professional and did an extremely thorough job. She had my daughters long hair clean if lice in 1.5 hours. (Last time it took me 5 hours doing it myself). I'd say this is a great service and I'd recommend them. read more

I feel like all of my lice is gone now. I tried so many different treatments and it all felt like it was just ruining my hair. After this treatment, my hair felt amazing. Wow! When I discovered my 8-year old had lice, she and I both freaked out because we had been fortunate enough to dodge the bugs so far. While waiting on Amazon to deliver products and a comb, I couldn't wait another day and wanted to ensure the removal was done professionally and correctly. I sent a text to Organic Lice Guru at 6:30am and heard back within 30 minutes. Within 4.5 hours, Sarah was at our door ready to take care of business. My daughter is multiracial and has long, curly, challenging hair and Sarah was not daunted by the task before her! As soon as she walked in our door, she let my very anxious daughter know that everything would be okay and she was going to take good care of her. Boy, was she right! Sarah got right to business and made my daughter feel like family, allowing me to return to my home office to work. Within a few hours, everything was done, all nasty bugs and eggs removed and my daughter was back to her normal good spirited self. Do not think twice about having this company come over (or head to them) to handle the dirty work for you. It is worth every dollar you'll spend to have the job done correctly. If I could give ten stars, I would. From the first text to the moment Sarah walked out the door, the experience was perfect. read more

We had two visits from the Gurus - the first to make sure our toddler's hair was clean and the second as a followup. Everyone we spoke to on location and at our house was extremely professional and courteous. Highly recommend working with these folks. Glad to know we're in the clear! read more

Wow, this one got away from me. We took a 16yr old who was loaded with lice to this place in August, 2 days after she came to our home. We've tried the over the counter lice removal on other girls we've had a couple of years ago, but the results was hard to achieve. The combing out procedure and the gel used just didn't work out well. It took almost 6 weeks of treatment to finally get it under control. What made it take so long was because the 4 sisters keep using the same comb even when we got them their own combs to use. This time, we took this girl to see these people and within an hour they removed her infestation! A little costly but well worth it for sure. If we get other kids with lice, this WILL be the way to go. Bag all clothes and belongings for 10 days and get this treatment right away. You won't regret it if you need it. read more

Cannot say enough amazing things about Jessica and her team! I had utilized the in-home service and after a prior co. had not shown up due to unforeseen instances, I called frantic and she stepped up and took care of my teen, 1st grader, and myself all w/ long hair the same day. Found this place thanks to a recommendation from a neighbor and am so glad I called. I have kids in school, and even though we tried to avoid lice it still struck our house. Organic lice guru treated us all, and did our recheck. They were kind, caring and gave me tons of advice on how to clean my house and prevent it from happening again. It's not a fun situation to be in, but it was nice to have a company that came alongside and took care of us. Would use them again for sure! read more

To say that Jessica and her team are lifesavers is an understatement! I found lice on my 8 year old last Wednesday. She has very thick long hair and I was terrified. I had no clue how to get rid of them... and for good. I hear how people try to get rid of them for months and I didnt want to risk that. They sent out Cherish the next day and she was amazing! Not only was she personable but she was amazing with my 3 children. She returned yesterday for a check up and I'm happy to report we are lice free! Thank you!! read more

I knew once my little one started school, the chances of her getting exposed to lice increased. It didn't even cross my mind that she'd get it at such an early age but we do several play dates a week and my daughter is a big hugger. Somewhere along the way, my 2-year-old picked up lice. I immediately went into freak out mode - frantically texting/contacting everyone she's been in contact with asking if anyone in their household had lice. I eventually calmed down and went into action. With the help of my Mommy network, I found a non-toxic product at Pharmaca that I felt comfortable putting on my little one and immediately began treatments. I was told by these "experts" that I caught it early because we never found a live adult and just a handful of nits. Nevertheless, we dealt with it for nearly 2 weeks; Shampooing, combing, washing linens daily...it was exhausting! Then, my head started to itch and I feared the worst. I got on Yelp and found Organic Lice Guru and gave them a call. There was no way I could do what I had previously done for my daughter and frankly, I was so exhausted. I called Organic Lice Guru Tuesday evening (@8pm) expecting to leave a message for their earliest appointment to get myself checked. Miguel picked up and I was shocked they were still hard at work. We spoke for 10-15 minutes and ended up scheduling an appointment for myself, the husband and the little one. Thankfully, no one in the family had lice (just found an empty egg in my daughters head) and the itching I was experiencing was in my head, no pun intended. It was exactly the peace of mind that I needed. After visiting Jessica, I learned everything I needed (but never wanted) to learn about the life cycle of lice and also how to prevent it from happening again. With the preventative measures we now take, I hope I never have to deal with this again but if I do, I will be calling Jessica right away. No more self-treatments for this family. Thank you, Jessica and Miguel! read more

The organic lice guru team were great. Very accommodating to a flexible schedule and Jessica did a great job.
