My girlfriend and I have made it a tradition to come every year, this year being year 5. We love it but good lord if your camper doesn't have a shower and bathroom steer clear of this place. The facilities year by year are more disgusting. We've been here for two nights now, the men's room is a genuine biohazard, the showers are filthy it's awful. It's a shame they don't pay any attention to the onsite facilities. The men's room has two stalls, one of which is full of feces leaving only one stall usable and while you brush your teeth your greeted with an overwhelming smell. The showers come with guests, plenty of spiders and a nasty ass curtain to greet you.

It took a while for us to row out…read morethere in our inflatable row boat - probably two hours - but you can rent a canoe at the ranger station which would get you out there in maybe an hour or hour and a half. It's a beautiful little private island with a pit toilet and fire pit with picnic tables. This year we spent one night at site 26, which was a little too close to other rowdier sites, and one night at 39, which was beautiful and secluded. If you're thinking about camping here but don't have a boat, rent a canoe! It's a nice way to get out to the islands and work up a sweat so you're ready to swim by the time you get to your site. Some words of advice: make sure you text anyone you need to while you're in Speculator or Indian Lake because if you need to get a hold of someone while you're camping you have to row back to shore, which could take hours if your site is further up the lake, then drive into town to get service; bring a roll of toilet paper with you if you don't want to use the cheapo single ply the whole time you're there; and lastly, really look at the map to make sure you know what you're getting into in terms of the trek out to your site! 32 is far enough that it feels remote but not so far you can't canoe there. Much further north and you're looking at hours of paddling. All in all a great spot to get away.

Some are located on islands, some on the shore along the lake. They're all extremely private but very primitive, a fire ring, picnic table and outhouse . There's also quite a few picnic areas if you're just going for the day. The staff at the campgrounds office are all extremely friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions you might have. The lake is beautiful, with opportunities to get out and hike up a mountain or to a waterfall. If you're going to camp you need to bring all of your supplies with you, including drinking water. There are shower facilities that you can access at Lewey Lake Campground, just across the road from the Indian Lake access.

Which sits above the lake and has a perfect view through the large picture window.It is a one bedroom cabin with a nice living room and kitchen, with a regular refrigerator microwave and stovetop. No oven, but that was OK because it was easy to cook on the small stove top eggs, bacon. The living room has a 15 inch flatscreen television. Along with the book case with a nice stock of books to read and a shelf with some board games. Also a coffee maker with a selection of coffee's and a toaster. Outside the cabin facing the lake is a fire pit where one can make a nice fire or Cook. There is also a Weber grill along with a picnic table. Although I enjoyed staying in the motel for many years. I'll have to say that I am glad that I decided to rent The cozy cottage, overlooking the beautiful lake. I loved all the light that came in through the large wraparound picture window. I enjoyed making lunch and dinner barbecue style. Steak, pork chops, chicken and ribs. Cold cut sandwiches. I could also bring leftovers from a restaurant and put them in the refrigerator to have the next day. Watching the fog lift off the lake in the morning or seeing a loon swimming in the water. One can also of course make use of the canoe available for guests. I was supposed to only stay a week but there was a cancellation and I ended up staying an extra four days as weather was perfect. Scott and Marsha made me feel very comfortable as usual in my home away from home. So if you are intending to vacation in the Adirondacks. You absolutely should stop at Indian lake and stay a week or two at Point Breeze. The entire grounds are beautiful quiet and peaceful. You might never want to come home again!

The…read morelocation was perfect - it is right across the street from a great deli to get breakfast/lunch/dinner/coffee/drinks -anything you could need while being away which was extremely convenient for us during our stay. The trolley picks up/drops off right across the street or a 1 minute walk away to bring you into the town which is only a few minutes away. The 2 bedroom cabin we stayed in was spacious & the porch/picnic table out front was perfect. Cabin was nice & clean. Pet friendly & the owner even brought us over a little gate to use while we sat outside with our dog on the porch. Our cabin was right across from the pool which was VERY clean & refreshing my kids loved that pool. The best part about this place was the family who owns/runs it- they work so hard & were so helpful & friendly. During our stay the AC started not working as well (it was super hot muggy July) the owner came immediately to our cabin & REPLACED the AC unit to a brand new unit - it was nice & cold after that. I couldn't believe the service - you can tell they truly care about their guests. Up the hill they had a swing set, basketball court, volleyball net- fire pit, grills, a zip line. There is plenty of space for the kids to run around & play. My daughter rode her scooter around at the top of the hill and other kids had bikes. We stayed Monday-Thursday in the middle of July & it was very peaceful & quiet while still giving that fun family friendly vibe. You can tell this is the type of place that once you stay here it will become "your place" year after year & we will definitely stay here again !! It is divided up uniquely with a one bedroom that attaches to two other possible bedrooms (one is more of a shared space), and another two bedroom. The owners live upstairs and across the road, there are folks who rent the little rooms by the water, on top of that it is a working marina so if you are looking for privacy this isn't the place for you. However for lake access and being right next to Bolton landing which is less cheesy and a lot more quaint than Lake George this is a great spot. I'd definitely recommend and visit again.
