When planning a trip to Lake George, I came across Cornerstone Victorian Bed & Breakfast. I was skeptical as they did not have many reviews and had a small online presence. I am extremely happy I chose to stay here. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The hosts, Doug and Louise are 2 of the nicest, friendliest, hard working people I have ever met. They have set the bar extremely high since this is the first time I have stayed at a bed & breakfast. First, do not expect a modern, sleek hotel when coming here. The house is old, however it is kept in beautiful condition and the age simply adds country charm. It is clean and well maintained. There are only 5 or 6 rooms total here, each are a little different from each other and offer a different experience. My wife and I stayed in the "Victorian". All rooms do have a private bath and I believe they all have air conditioning as well. From the moment we arrived, until the minute we left, Doug and Louise were so pleasant and gracious. They even helped us carry our bags up the stairs to our room. Louise cooks a homemade 5 course breakfast every morning. She is an amazing cook. She is also very accommodating and will go out of her way to make you happy. I left there 2 days ago, and I'm still thinking about some of the food we are here. Seriously, after eating her breakfast, you won't want lunch. She also features a homemade dessert every day. Again, a very nice treat and she's also a great baker. They also offer a beverage bar that is available 24 hours. Included is bottled water, soda, an assortment of different teas, coffee, hot chocolate. As far as price is concerned, I feel they are extremely reasonable. They offer packages in the off season that can't be beat. Doug and Louise..... I doubt that you will ever read this but thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. We will definitely come again when in Lake George.

A special B&B gem in the mountains. From the beautiful garden flowers to the comfortable, modern but historic bed and large in room bathrooms,, wonderfully serene wrap around porch, WiFi and TV (for those of us that need it),special dessert treat every evening to the most kind and gracious hosts - Doug and Louise - I can't say enough about our 4 night stay. The gourmet breakfast each morning deserves comment all alone! My husband and I couldn't wait for each mornings surprise. That said, if you want a bit more simple or with dietary restrictions Louise will do that too (but seriously - give up the diet just to experience her talent for making each breakfast a gourmet delight) Literally located at the foot of Hackensack Mountain allows for a great morning walk right off the front porch! We also found the quiet town of Warrensburg to be centrally located for short drives (15 minutes or less) for dinners at top restaurants in the Lake George area. Doug was so helpful with restaurant selections - both go to ones and perhaps don't go . Lake George, Bolton Landing, Glen Falls, Outlets, Saratoga Springs - short drives. Lake Placid less than 2 hours and so worth the visit. We've been to several B&B's in many US and European towns and can say with great conviction this is the top one ever! For sure we will be back. Oh my heavens! Where to begin?!!! Beautiful setting, gorgeous house, extremely comfortable bed, and breakfast was to die for (homemade, by the way)!!! You get waaaaay more than you pay for here. I was in truly beyond impressed! I have stayed at fabulous 5 star hotels and this by far is one of the tops. The owners are so sweet and accommodating. Truly a wonderful place to honeymoon or just go to relax on your vacation. We will be back!!!

View from the front- flowers everywhere!

This is my 8th or 9th summer in a row staying at The Cornerstone Victorian. Owners Doug and Louise are consummate hosts/inn keepers. Their painstaking effort to maintain the inside decor and the stunning gardens in the front and back is apparent. This B&B oozes with old world Victorian charm however they do have 21st century amenities such as free wifi, flat screen TV's, modern bathrooms etc.. There are only 5 guest rooms but all are very comfortable- each room has something unique that makes it stand out. Louise makes amazing sweets for an evening snack/dessert and her 5 course homemade breakfast is out of this world and would cost a fortune on its own in NYC or a fancy resort. I truly can't say enough about how amazing Doug and Louise are- they're a genuine, kindhearted down to earth couple who take pride in pampering their guests with warmth, charm and comfort. After 1 night here I guarantee they'll make you feel like family!

Doug and Louise were very attentive, never letting anyone go hungry or thirsty, and timed the courses like experts.

Service: One server for our party, she was nice but a little oddly for a server she didn't know what ginger ale was and wasn't sure if they had decaf. Our food came out with a pretty big gap between plates, I was finished with mine by the time another in our party got hers. I will say they were very gracious seeing as we were a half hour late. Food: Pretty underwhelming, you could get similar or better food at your local diner. Menu is somewhat limited as well especially for sides and drinks. I got the french toast, it wasn't very moist at all, uninteresting flavor, the strawberry garnish was dried up on the inside so must have been left out for a while, bacon was fine, maple syrup was good. I had a few bites of the omelette which was good and home fries which were on the dry side and without much flavor. Value: It wasn't too expensive thankfully despite being marketed as a 'fine dining experience' I'd say value was about even with the low quality food, french toast was $11. Overall definitely would not recommend, you could get better food at a diner or cafe.

Nice beach area with lots of chairs, tons of "cabins" and rooms, lots of activities, a playground, good parking, and connected to a popular breakfast spot. Very friendly staff, clean rooms that were a decent size (we stayed in the deluxe 2 bedroom villa) and housekeeping service if you choose. I liked the touch of having the mini soaps, shampoo and body wash. Felt like a hotel. The reason for 3 stars was because we had a problem with our plumbing one night that resulted in the toilet overflowing and somehow what was in the toilet coming up through the shower drain!! The staff really tried everything to fix it, but unfortunately since it was late at night, they weren't able to. We lucked out and the cabin next to us was just cleaned so they gave us the keys to use that bathroom for the night. The next morning they were able to fix it and had someone come to clean up. Overall, I would come back again. Me and my family had a nice time. And the location in my opinion is ideal. Right between both towns and you can walk to breakfast, a deli, and horseback riding

The bathroom was fully sized with a shower head that had very good pressure. There was a nice kitchenette with a full sized refrigerator, two burner stove and all the kitchen utensils/pots you will need. There were four solid, Adirondack chairs surrounding a fire pit that included, dry cut wood. Also, a picnic table that at night we played cards on. The location was a five minute drive to all the shops and the beach. It was very convenient to everything in the area. The pool was very clean and refreshing. My 11 year old loved it had a deep end so he cannonball into it. Plenty of chairs to sit out and spread on. I also have to mention Chris and Amy, two of the property keepers that keep the place wonderful looking and make sure you have everything you need. Chris even offered to start a fire for me. I would highly recommend this establishment.
