Management is only invested in protecting their circle. The circle consists of the founding women and unassertive employees who have been there longer than five years. They lead covertly and have a "no gossip policy" teachers are forced to sign, but don't follow themselves. Decisions on my behalf were made by people who never saw me teach. Losing multiple teachers every year is the norm. They cycle through teachers like nobody's business. They sweet talk the new hires and tell them they're really good, when they're struggling and have limited training. I was only paired with young, inexperienced teachers and encouraged to support/guide them without extra compensation. I was told the exact same worded praise as another teacher with zero experience. Teachers were encouraged to share their teaching skills/strategies without compensation. The young new hires were commonly highlighted in newsletters and social media. They play favorites. Incorrect information and poor management communication are commonplace. Every teacher I worked alongside quit. I saw at least nine teachers quit. By burning out and dumping the new hires they can hire new teachers each year at a lower pay rate, protecting their circle, and saving money. There are reasons this preschool has become a multimillion dollar company so quickly. And they're not good. Avondale is good at making money. They use teachers and crush dreams. They crushed mine.

We felt the love that Jody has for every child that walks through the doors. We were down between two centers and didn't feel comfortable with a center that was much more convenient. It just didn't give us the peace of mind we were looking for. Then we heard that Jody was taking over a center in Eagle Mountain and we had to jump. We would rather drive to Eagle Mountain from Provo and back twice a day knowing that our kids would be cared for and loved love we love them. We talked to one of my child's teachers who worked at the center before A to Z took over and said that hands down the center is better for the kids and teachers after A to Z took over. We were able to change locations to a much more convenient location when the was an opening and it's like we didn't even move. The structure and routine is the same at each location. My kids didn't skip a beat and the was no worry with the transition. The are cameras, which help with accountability and we get reports throughout the day so we know exactly what our kids are doing. If you're looking for a center for your kids, then stop right here. If there's a wait list, which the probably is, then get on it and stay on it. A to Z is worth the wait.

The bilingual options are what brought us. Its hard to find bilingual preschools and I really wanted my children to be exposed to another language. They are also very fairly priced. They genuinely loved and cared for my daughter. Some of the teachers even took my number and texted me pictures of her throughout the day, which I appreciated as an anxious, new mother. Some of the buildings and toys are old, yes, but the teachers are all qualified and caring. They kept a detailed record of when my infant daughter, ate and slept. They made sure she had her own, designated crib and labeled all her pacifiers and bottles. My daughter needs special formula and they always made sure to not mix it up with anyone else's food. They were awesome with my infant daughter, but they were just as great with older children. When the older kids fought or got in trouble they didn't just punish them and move on. They taught them why what they did was wrong, and how they could make it better, how to apologize to the wronged parties and helped the kids to learn how to correct their behavior. I recommend Adventure Time to anyone who is looking for child care, from infants to children!

Loved Summit Academy Preschool!…read more After having a horrible experience at another private preschool, I was looking for a good preschool to enroll my daughter in, and I'm so glad I found Summit Academy Preschool (which is NOT related to Summit Academy Elementary which has a separate entrance process). My daughter attended this preschool for a year and always came home happy. She learned to count to 100, and to even add and subtract numbers, among other things. I was really impressed! They even had a Christmas program with Santa Claus last year! My daughter was super excited. Her teachers Ms. Mckenzie and Ms. Jennifer were two lovely ladies who cared for my child learning and well-being. Every time I had a question or concern, either teacher would address it promptly. Thumbs up! My daughter was able to get to know her teachers very well as well as her classmates. Even though she will be heading to kindergarten this Fall she still talks about her friends from Summit Academy Preschool. I highly recommend this preschool, no questions about it. And remember, you'd still need to pay tuition since the preschool is separate from the charter school. The tuition itself is well priced and it is not expensive compared to some private schools out there.
