We absolutely LOVE young scholars. We sent our son to the preschool last September and he continued until he started kindergarten. They are so great at working with the kids and making them feel special. My son donated his bone marrow to his little brother and the celebrated his donor anniversary by letting him wear a super hero cap and recognizing him in front of the class. They do so many fun activities for the kids and they have programs every few months that my son LOVED. The families that go to young scholars are also SO sweet and engaged. We went to several birthday parties for his classmates and I was amazed at how many of the students would show up to the parties. The students are all besties and if there are conflicts young scholars does a great job of helping the students to navigate it. Academically they do so much to prep the kids for kindergarten and the kids love the curriculum. My son had so much fun learning to read sight words and trying to understand simple addition! My two year old started this last June and it has been so good for him. He struggles with understanding how to act in social environments/around other kids because he was on extreme quarantine for a couple years because of his bone marrow transplant. Young scholars is so patient with him instead of writing him off like some daycares might. He is SO excited to go to school everyday and he would definitely let us know if he didn't want to be there. FIRST IMPRESSION: Amazing Well, my son has not started at Young Scholars Academy quite yet, I did want to leave a review on our initial impression of the place. In speaking with the owners Bryon and Patty, we felt so good about what they are doing. Patty explained to us that she too has been through with the concerns of leaving a child at a daycare, and decided to start this school because she knew she could do it the way parents want it to be done. You should really check out their commercial on their website. It was filmed by their oldest son and their daughter is the one in the video. I think it says a lot about their ability to teach and raise children that their own kids were able to produce something of such high quality. We were also really impressed with the facility, the cleanliness, the different classrooms, the Spanish immersion program, the accommodations for 2 1/2-year-olds, the class rotations, the security, and all of the employees we saw there. In short, we left feeling extremely comfortable leaving our child at the Young Scholars Academy, and wanted to make sure to add our review here for other parents who are looking for a good place for their child. read more

UPDATED: Our son now attends Young Scholars twice a week and he absolutely loves it. His speech has improved so much it's made all the difference in him. He is always greeted by loving smiles and runs to hug his teachers. Our daughter's kindergarten readiness far exceeds Kindergarten expectations and that's all because of the incredible learning environment they have fostered at this school. It's truly a magical place. The spring and Christmas programs they perform every year are something I look forward to. It's so fun to see all the work they have put into memorizing songs and dances, and it has given our daughter so much confidence performing on stage. My daughter has been attending YSA since she was 2 years old. She's now in the pre school program attending 3 days a week and we absolutely love the school and the staff. My daughter has learned sooo much in such a short time. We are amazed everyday. We will be sending our son there as soon as he reaches the age to attend. Amazing school, amazing staff. Wow...I would give Young Scholars Academy 10 stars if I could. My daughter went here until she advanced on to kindergarten (which she was WELL beyond ready for when the time came) and now our son goes here. Both of them absolutely LOVE this place! If you want a preschool or daycare in Draper that will provide a warm, fun, and caring learning environment for your children, this is THE place. I know that our kids are surrounded by the most genuinely loving, caring teachers around. I always feel like my kids are safe and content. When we moved here, we couldn't seem to find a preschool/daycare in Draper or Lehi that felt "right" until we found Young Scholars Academy! I can honestly say, with all of my heart, that this is the best, cleanest, happiest, warmest, most loving, and most awesome preschool/daycare that you could hope to find for your children. After almost a year of my child attending Young Scholars Academy, I have noticed significant academic improvement. From writing their names, to counting to 100, to learning the letters of the alphabet and sounds, and even starting to read! The teachers at Young Scholars are well devoted to the academic development of their students. They keep children busy and engaged in fun learning activities year-round, and as a busy parent, it's reassuring to know that your child is being cared for while learning and growing. Something that I especially like about Young Scholars is that they teach children in both English and Spanish and have them perform dances in front of a parent audience, which helps them build their presentation skills and confidence. My child has also enjoyed attending Young Scholars and has made many friends, and looks forward to going to school each day. I cannot say enough good things about Young Scholar Academy! I have had two of my kids go through their program, and both experienced it very differently. My son's confidence grew, his social skills were strengthened, and he developed the ability to communicate more effectively. My daughter flourished with the Spanish language. She started there at two years old and is almost graduating Pre-K with them, and she speaks Spanish so well. Her leadership skills and confidence has also grown tremendously. The teachers are some of the best. They are loving, thoughtful, and intention in all they do. Each lesson, activity, song, and program is planned with each student's abilities in mind. It was pretty stressful and time consuming trying to find the right preschool/daycare for my child. We checked out every one within a 10 mile radius. Finding the right hours, cost, safety, cleanliness, good staff, wanting my child to learn and be happy while being cared for and not owned by a corporation. This preschool checked all those boxes! Family owned and they're always there involved with the day to day learning and always happy to greet you when you arrive. Every parent has a key code so the kids are safe inside. They do the cutest programs and activities and my child made some best friends there. The only downside is that their outside play area is very small and not a lot of activities to do. But It has been a great experience and I would recommend this preschool to anyone! read more

I can't say enough good things about Young Scholars. My wife and I were looking for a preschool that offered an aftercare option that didn't require a midday relocation. Young Scholars fit the bill and also checked numerous other boxes, one of which being the curriculum. My wife has a degree in Elementary Education and has been a teacher for years. The quality of learning that the Young Scholar team delivers is great. Our daughter learns so much on a weekly basis. It has been so fun to watch her grow. They also make it a point to plan fun activities for the kids very regularly. Our daughter absolutely loves going to school. The staff knows each child so well. They genuinely care about the kids. My 2 and 3 1/2 year old have been coming here for a few months now. We are extremely happy with the level of care and attention they receive. They are always bringing home crafts and art projects, experiencing hands on learning, dancing, learning a second language, and having a blast playing. Every time I go pick them up, they are so excited to show me what they did that day, and want to stay and play longer. My wife visited probably close to a dozen kindergarten/pre-kindergarten/daycare places and chose this one, and we couldn't be happier!! The owners are warm, genuine people who truly love the children, and they are there daily running the show. Every teacher is also remarkable and wonderful with the kids. Best place ever. read more

Wow!!! I majored Early Child Development. I taught my own preschool for 15 years. I wanted my grandson to go to the best preschool in the Salt Lake Valley. I found that school right here in Draper at Young Scholars Academy & (it's so conveniently situation right off the freeway which is just a bonus.) :) Patty and her AMAZING team of teachers love each one of their student's. They are all invested in helping each child develop learning. They take the time to individually know each child and their needs. This pre-kindergarten program is so excellent! Not only are the teachers so sweet and loving, but they are intelligent and skilled with children. My daughter has "the best day ever" at school every time. Young Scholars Academy goes above and beyond to teach and provide experiences for the children--inviting the fire fighters to come talk to the children about fire safety, performing science experiments and having a career day for parents to come share about the work they do. The most amazing school and care a child could receive! The perfect balance of FUN and structure! My daughter attended for 3 years and not once was I disappointing with the care she was getting! My daughter is in kindergarten now and and misses the YSA soooo much and talks about how she is beyond prepared for Kindergarten! We absolutely love Young Scholars Academy. I highly recommend them. My grandson who is 3 has learned so much. He loves going to school. He has progressed beyond my expectation. Young Scholars was an awesome place for our child to learn and develop. The teachers are all very committed to learning while having fun. The facility is clean and inviting. Our child had a great time there and was very sad to have to leave for kindergarten. He also attended the summer program for 2 years and it was fun and still encouraged learning.
