I kept calling because I truly believe that the customer service rep is either knowledgeable or not and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I kept getting those who couldn't help with such a simple request. Today I had time to go into the bank as a couple had suggested, which is such a crazy request, you really can't help me over the phone with an online request or ask someone else and then show me if you don't know? I went in and was super frustrated asking the teller to see a representative and explaining all over again. Stephanie Motill was willing to see me without an appointment and listened to my request that I was surely explaining poorly due to my frustration. She listened and actually heard me and helped me through the process on my phone, omygosh what a relief SO SIMPLE. I knew it had to be but she was willing to help me without an appointment due probably to my frustration trying to explain to the teller. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I would gladly make an appointment in the future if needed and request Stephanie, what a blessing she is. Chase is lucky to have her because their customer service line is fair at best, they should work on that ...

They took away 12 overdraft forgivenesses that I had accumulated, which was frustrating, but now the ladies across the counter didn't seem quite so friendly either. Perhaps this was just my perception, nevertheless, it was time to start shopping for a new bank... A place that felt honest again. I checked out some local credit unions as well as some bigger corporations and US Bank, I found, was the best fit for a middle America single father. OPTIONS - What can I say, they got it all! I do most of my banking online, but occasionally I wonder in the branch at Santiam in Waverly. Anything and everything is available, from CDs to simple personal banking or just a kids savings account. If you take a moment, go in, and sit down with a personal banker and tell them what your needs are, they will set you on the right path. Like I said it's all available, just ask. ATTITUDE - Cheerful, courteous, and helpful, nobody's ever been rude to me. they always ask my little boy can have a piece of candy before they ask him ..extra points!! Attitude is usually hit or miss for businesses of this nature and I feel they hit the mark. RELIABILITY - Any problems I've had have consistently been addressed in a quick and painless fashion. My money is always available to me, wether over the net, phone, or an ATM. Not something offered by most credit unions. FEES - I pay nothing for my checking account, as it should be! All the other services I use are very reasonable after having compared to the industry standard. CONVENIENCE - With ATMs in most areas and the internet option available I'm not sure if ease of access could get better. I suppose they could come to my house, but they already pay my bills for me, I just watch the numbers move around, or not. Great for a busy lifestyle in which yes, I've FORGOTTEN to pay a bill or two over the years.

I've been a long time CWCU member. It started when I bought my first car where they financed me. It…read morewas just a savings account but even after I trade that car in I kept the account as they had always treated me well. A few years in and I had gotten married, I wanted to add my wife to the account but was told I couldn't because her credit at the time was not above 600. Spoiler alert, neither was mine. I shrugged it off and went elsewhere with my business. Fast forward to now and after years of barely making ends meet my wife and I decided to file for bankruptcy. I had a small loan (Less than $300) and that savings account that had $100/month deposited into to make payments on that account. I diligently paid off that loan until I filed for bankruptcy. After I filed I go to check my balance via their app and it tells me I have no account. Strange, ok well no problem. So I call them and they tell me my account is locked. I ask why and they say its because of the bankruptcy and they cannot tell me when I will get my access back. I ask them how I can check my balance and they tell me I have to physically go to the branch. Fine. So I go to the branch and hand them my bank card. Apparently they shut off my bank card as well. I give them my info and provide them my security code. They then have to call "corporate" to get authorization to access my account. I am then told that my account access will be locked until such time the bankruptcy ends. It's gonna be 5 years before I can access the account?! How does this even make sense! I'm still not quite sure why my ability to see my account has been taken away. What does that even accomplish? Prior to the bankruptcy, my account was not in arrears and the loan I had was paid up. After talking it over with the teller I told her after the next month I will likely change my direct deposit and be closing the account then because it doesn't make sense for me to have an account that can't even check the balance on. She advised me that if I did that, they might put me in check systems! So now I am stuck with an account I cannot access. I admit that I have had financial issues and I take responsibility for that but this account was one of the few that I took care of and it feels like they are punishing me. For reference, I had another account with a bank that was in much worse shape and no only did the bank reverse everything once they were notified of the bankruptcy but I never once lost account access. I like this CU and appreciate all they have done for me over the years but I feel like they don't really wanna help people and are just there to cater to folks who have perfect credit.
