This visit was like most all of my visits. I was greeted kindly and was asked what was it that I needed. I commented on the "poor Yelp rating" and conversed that it usually customers that had an adverse event and didn't feel heard or treated with respect. I have to say CWCU is one of the best institutions I've ever had the honor of working with. We are more down to earth than most Credit Unions. CWCU lets us be more personable as ourselves with our members. I truly love our members. Being there for our communities has always been a personal passion of mine since I was a little girl. I was pretty disappointed in the consideration given me by this institution. I co-signed a line of credit for my grandson and was told at the time, if he had any problems they would let me know so I could protect my credit. I found out from looking at Credit Karma that the account was 40 days past due. I received no written notice or calls though I was told I'd receive both. They had already posted fees and closed the account. When I went in to pay it off, I was told I couldn't pay it off until I spoke to someone in their debt department. I was irritated and asked for the woman, who said she was the manager, to put that in writing. That was when she gave me the balance and took my money to pay it off. It all almost seemed shady since they had already assessed fees and were trying to prevent me from paying it off right then. I have a couple of savings accounts and safety deposit box with them but would never engage in any other kind of loan with this bank. read more

Well I have an auto loan, money market account, an additional savings account and now a checking account. Their product is good but their customer relations- communication demeanor is very very poor. I was told to come down this morning to open a checking account even though I explained I had been working 13-14 hour nights all week. So I get dressed and run down real quick only to be told no I need an appointment. Needless to say I was PISSED!!! They had no empathy whatsoever although professional. I made a bit of a scene because I was told to come down and open a checking account right now, 10 minutes later I was there. The teller said no I am sorry but you need an appointment. I said fine let me close my money market account and savings, I'll take my business elsewhere. All of a sudden I got a checking account but I'm still not very happy how I was initially treated hence this review. For this reason I will not use their services for my main source of income -100k a year. Fix your customer service read more

I've never been treated so rudely and unprofessionally. My branch wasn't yet open today, so I stopped st the Albany branch to deposit a check. The teller was taking an inordinate amount of time and asking me questions that clearly showed she was confused about something. I asked what was going on and she said "we have to be very careful with these government checks." It was actually a distribution from another financial institution, and the teller was clearly confused. I asked for the manager, who came out and addressed me like I was engaged in something criminal. Haven Seltman wouldn't tell me what was going on, and being quite haughty that I would dare to ask. Where's the customer service? They make more from my money than I do, and I don't need to be treated like that. I pointed out that I could have deposited the check at the ATM, and not have my time wasted like that. After insulting me and mocking me about "not wasting any more of your precious time" she handed back the check and told me to deposit it outside at the ATM. I had her look at my balance (I have considerable amount of money in that account), and I told her that if I walked out, they would be losing all my business. As I was walking out, she called after me "we don't want customers like you, good riddance!" So, I'm taking my money elsewhere. You should too. read more

On Thursday I mistakenly made a payment to American Express from my personal account. I was notified Friday morning and called immediately. I talked with a representative. They said that American Express had already been paid. So, I drove to the credit union and gave a check from my Business account to cover the over draft, by 10am. I was told this would take care of it and the overdraft charge was removed. Thank you. Then I get an e-mail saying my account was locked and we can't by groceries. I called WCU and was told to call the debt collection service, because they are the only ones that can help. I called the debt collection at 4:00pm and they are closed, won't open until Saturday... still no groceries. On Saturday at 7:00, I called the debt collection agency and was told they have no record of my account. I still don't have access to my funds. Now I am being told to call a third number (doesn't answer) to unblock my Central Willamette Credit Union Checking account. It was not overdrawn, I submitted the funds as soon as I was notified. I discussed this with an Agent at Central Willamette and my account is STILL FUBAR. Nobody wants to take responsibility. If you are looking for a bank/credit union, Anyplace is better than this. read more

I lost my job and have been trying to get my unemployment. The bank would not work with me and said they had called me several times which I never received any calls. They said I never contacted them, which I had. They sent me one letter about my truck and then came and took my truck today. With this pandemic and how long it is taking for unemployment you would think they would care more and work with people. They basically said that I lied about not contacting them. If you are looking for a bank to get an account with DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS BANK THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. I will be closing my account through them as soon as I can. Brian read more

I would not work with this bank had I known their goal is to hurt your credit. We set up an auto payment plan thinking it would be the most sure way to make our payment on time every time. During somewhere at the beginning of our loan, they changed the payment schedule without a call or letter. We had no idea it was changed. We were out of town roughly 40 days and we came back to a notice that our account was past due. They reported us to the credit bureau for $39 (the amount they changed) and got a 30pt hit to our credit rating. I can't stress enough. DONT WORK WITH THIS BANK. We have done auto pay on vehicles for years and this has never occurred. We are planning on moving our loan immediately. read more

If I could give a negative score I would! I have 2 loans with this company. Yet only have a problem with one. I have sent them proof of full coverage insurance on multiple occasions and they still forced insurance on my loan and after multiple attempts to get it resolved they have yet to refund what they had no right to put on my loan. I will NEVER do business with this company and unless you want to be out thousands of dollars for forced insurance I would not recommend this company for a loan. read more

Do not use this bank or any of their branches for loans. If you get in a bind they will not help. They count actual days of the month and will report to credit even though your due date hasn't hit. Stay away!! read more

Worst bank ever!!!! They are rude and disrespectful! Looking for another bank to bank with. Also they do not work with you when you are in a bind they could careless such as when you deposit a great amount of money they won't at least give you some of your money to pay a bill. I've had other banks work with me to keep me happy not CW. Not saying all the employees are incompetent but a few are there at the Waverly branch. read more
