Sometimes emergencies or rush situations happen and scheduling medical transport with wheelchair capability can be a serious hassle since most transport requires advanced scheduling and planning. COMPARISONS - Sadly many insurance don't cover non-emergency medical transport. Getting old isn't cheap and medical transport isn't either, compared to other similar services ANEMT rates are average to a little better. MetroWest transport is the most popular and great, but they are constantly booked at least 1-2 days out or 5-10 hours for same day. MetroWest also has stair capable wheelchairs and stretchers by request and door to door service. TriMet offers basic medical transport for fairly cheap via shuttle, but they don't offer door to door so you'll need someone to push if the chair isn't motorized and electric. Uber and Lyft have wheelchair capable vehicles, but again, no door to door service and requires advanced scheduling. Interestingly Kaiser Washington State insurance covers non-emergency transport, but not in Oregon. Above and beyond - Along with being able to respond quickly with door to door service, they helped with transferring inside the home to and from the wheelchair. Aways super nice and friendly guys. Easy pay via credit card through a tex message link or over the phone. Have questions, be sure to ask, they are very helpful and accommodating. Good service, responsive, fast and better pricing than most. Thanks for taking good care of our family.

Making my way down Burnside rain or dry darkness (I go to my office quite early) it is this station that I await my chariot, or rather streetcar. It seems to always be neat and in good order, plus that little running sign that give out semi-accurate information has yet to be completely wrong! I tend to find myself among a host of unique and interesting humans. Some venturing to work like myself, some I think just venturing home from the night before, others not venturing much at all but rather just enjoying our little stations hospitality. There is also a doughnut shop in the parking lot adjacent to the stop, greeting us all with the aroma of fresh and I'm sure delicious pastries. We have a little covered area to gather under on particularly wet days; those are the morning that we all get to know each other a bit more (one of us doesn't brush regularly and another wears too much cologne, but they shall remain private to retain the integrity of our little station's group). What makes things extra exciting is the 6, yes the 6! It too stops at our station providing just a little extra entertainment just before our CL arrives. If you haven't caught a ride here yet, be sure to do soon before the word gets out just how great 2167 is!!

The pros: -Near popular areas such as the convention center and the Moda center -Public transit across the street -cheap -the rooms are spacious The cons: -Dirty and run down -Outdated furniture -Questionable looking folks around the area may make you feel paranoid -No breakfast (although I wouldn't want to try theirs) The customer service is okay. They only provide room service if you specifically ask. Everything worked for me (hot water, TV, hair dryer, lights, heater/AC). There are rooms on the quiet street vs the loud street, you just gotta pick the more expensive option when checking out. There is a door chain lock for extra security. The location isn't that bad, I didn't see any homeless in the immediate area. And upon doing research Lloyd district isn't the worst area in Portland. Although not too many amazing restaurants nearby. Oh, there was a stain on the carpet that looked like something out of a crime scene (see pic). I covered it with a towel for peace of mind.

They charged us an early check-in fee when I checked in at 4:13pm ( I'm disputing this charge). I asked for four towels for everyone and we got three!

Worst mass transit station ever…read more Any time of day or night, there are dozens of people just hanging around. Just leaning against the wall, just reeking of pot stench, just hawking lung oysters onto the sidewalk, just shouting obscenities, just losing their shit and yelling and screaming at passersby, just freaking the f out and arguing with others like them who happen to be on the other side of the street, just generally being obnoxious asshats. Hey, no, I don't want to buy a joint. Hey, no, I don't want to share yours. Hey, no, I don't have a fucking quarter. Hey, it's not funny when you stand close to me just to see if I'll move three steps away because you smell like ass. I will always move three steps away. Before you get all up in my face about the plight of the homeless, let me assure you I understand their challenges. I am sympathetic to their plight. At the same time, though, I am unwilling to put up with their shit, and I shouldn't have to. These folks need to be encouraged to congregate somewhere else. This is a MAX station, and I don't have the luxury of waiting somewhere else, this is the station, this is where I wait. These loiterers, however, encased in their cloud of pot and engaged in their daily dramas, can get their freak on any old where - and they should be encouraged to find a different spot. Encouraged by people in uniforms, with badges, who have the command presence to say, you can act like this all you want, but you can't do it here.
