This park is much like Riverfront park with some great improvements…read more The fields are separated, so you need not worry about soccer / Frisbee clashes any longer, each can tourney in peace. The bark dusted playground has the duel play structures but also has swings, and a climbing rock. You'll find the same long smooth sidewalks and a covered pavilion about half the size of Riverfront's but you'll also find tennis and basketball courts here. The splash pad does not just spray up from the ground. It has pipes that mist in all directions and deluge you from above. It is a little bigger and has more fountain points to, so more children can play, and get a little more creative with it. This park really gets all classy with the planning, putting the splash pad in a place that doesn't creep into the shade, making sure there are trees by the playground so parents don't bake and the ace in the hole? That would be the ample parking that is not located a quarter mile from the playground! Get's an A+ from this mom. The one warning I have is that when the soccer games and birthdays fill the park, it brings the 1 lane traffic to a standstill. In that event park across the street at the Fred Meyer's or come back in an hour. It usually clears out fast.

Due to timing of games, didn't partake of the food, but it did look good (espeically the taco stand). The fields were in really good shape for the most part. They had a no dog rule in place, which was nice. The only real issue is parking. They did a pretty nice job of organizing it, but there is only one way in and one way out on to a two lane road with a nearby stoplight. Given that, it took a while to get out of the lot, especially since I was parked near the entrance the first time (lesson learned).

They lack organization. They lack communication. They lack service. My kids were heartbroken too many times as we drove all the way in for soccer only to have the coaches cancel 15 minutes before practice (or 5 minutes before, or 15 minutes after practice should have started). They did give refunds, which is why they get 2 stars instead of one, but we will not be back.

All rules should be in much larger print (sauna, hot tub, steam room, etc.) Only 8 adult-only hours per week in warm pool and we should not have to educate parents about this often-ignored rule. One day 30 older kids w/ church group all jumped in at once. Another time 12+ kids in hot tub. Parents often looking at their phones and not watching their kids. Weight room so often (younger men) sit on one machine for half an hour, scrolling on their phone 90% of the time, while others are obviously waiting to do a few reps. Women's steam room has been dangerously hot lately. Half the shower curtain rings are missing. Often women in sweaty gym clothes in sauna, with phones, sometimes working out. Many people think the rules do not apply to them and they are not enforces.
