The next day, I told her what happened and when I told her what it looked like, she immediately went to another room and brought it out (all washed and cleaned!) Jack is another person behind the front desk who welcomes me each time. He is also one of the water aerobics instructors and he is always so helpful and encouraging. The other two female instructors are awesome, too! I have been a member for a combined 7 years, but in 2023 I cancelled my membership to save money since I had retired. I came back several months later because of their therapy pool and outdoor pool. I have heart and back conditions that make water exercise my only option for movement to become stronger. It is expensive, but I am prioritizing my health. The West Salem club is just minutes away from home and now that I am retired I can get up early and put in two to three hours.

Absolutely hate when my daughter's tournaments are scheduled for The Hoop in Salem. Worst venue…read morethey play at. Often seems that they forget to turn on the heat in Winter mornings. Last season when I asked about the lack of heat I was told that it causes condensation that drips from the ceiling onto the Courts and makes them unsafe. I responded - then put some money into your business. The heat did come on later in the morning - and the team needed to keep a towel handy to dry up wet areas in the court. Wish this place would close - or a new option would open

The Hoop in Salem is my least favorite venue for volleyball tournaments. The walls drip moisture…read moreand along the walls are piles of trash, like someone swept and pushed the piles to the side and never cleaned up. The Hoop has a upstairs area that is closed off so there is no room for the teams to hang out together or have snacks indoors. The lobby is over crowded and undesirable. The parking lot has new RV rules every time we go. The first time we parked our RV in the front lot (NO issues). 2nd time, we pulled into the front and staff asked us to move to the far back parking lot behind the entrance. 3rd time we went, we parked in the far back parking lot and the staff asked us to move to the overflow parking! The overflow parking is another buildings parking lot up the road. Ridiculous! We bring our RV because there is no room inside for the teams to eat and no one wants to walk 1/2 mile up the road. The Hoop is horrible. I plan on writing the volleyball tournament coordinators at CEVA and express the need to use a different venue.

She gives lots of options if you have any problems and is happy to talk with you after class to give suggestions for modifications. I believe she is the instructor for the Silver Sneakers class as well which is for seniors or people with less mobility. I have tried yoga with Fenny and it's a good class but not really yoga in my opinion. She uses lots of different things like bands and hand weights and paper plates and stuff, I feel like her class would be a great fit for someone who is just looking for a light guided exercise class. I have yet to try the other yoga classes, because they're really early in the morning, but I'll make it one of these days! Jake the manager is very amiable and helpful if you have any questions, keep in mind they are only staffed during the day though. I do really enjoy that it's 24hrs, because I like to go when no one is there so I can try things out that I'm not the most confident with yet. My only complaint is that I wish that it was a little more clean at this location. The women's locker room especially, often you'll see cobwebs hanging and greasy fingerprints all over the lockers. Nothing super gross, just needs a little more attention I think. Overall this is a very decent, affordable gym with a good variety of equipment and classes!
