The space feels tense and overly monitored, creating an uncomfortable training environment rather than a supportive one. Interactions between the owner and members are of confrontational as seen and experienced. There is also a significant gap between the extremely positive online reviews and what many members experiencing day to day. Which raises questions about how accurately those reviews reflect the gym's culture. With talks of free memberships and "prices" in return. A gym should feel welcoming, respectful, and focused on fitness. Unfortunately, this location appears to fall short, and many people may be better served choosing a different facility. As there are many better professionally owned gyms in the area.

I once went with a small group of women to the annual banquet put on by the culinary arts program at the JC in Albany, and thought the company very agreeable. As a single man, the way I have been spoken to and treated is NOT acceptable and, I admit, I don't go in for pool or board or card games, where the men seem to congregate. I frankly don't think the city-sponsored senior center in North Salem is doing any better; how we treat the vulnerable in our society is an ongoing problem.
