My son had to go through the Dept of Labor to finally get paid for work done. It seems pretty unethical for an adult team administrator to take advantage of a minor. We had previously taken our younger 3 kids off the team due to inexperienced coaching, rapid coach turnover, and bad accounting where our bills were regularly wrong so I'm not sure if the refusal to pay was some sort of retaliation. Now we swim at CAT and have none of these issues with better coaching and better facilities.

I've been to plenty of gyms while traveling, and most are more than happy to offer a guest pass or a temporary membership option. It's frustrating when a place is so rigid that they can't even allow someone to work out for a single day. Definitely not a welcoming or community-focused gym. If you're someone who travels or needs flexibility, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
