Haunted tree swing.

Large, busy park with off-leash, fenced areas for dogs (big and small) with boat ramp access, nature trails and a sweeping frisbee golf course. Great place to bring the dog (please, clean up after yourself; there were several pet messes left behind by crummy pet-owners this weekend) or bring a human and have a picnic! There are some good spots for shore fishing if you don't have a boat, but wear some long pants because the brush and weeds can be pretty thick near the shore in the good spots. Great place to walk or just relax on a bench and watch the water go by!

Something for everyone here at this park. Music at the Park Saturday's with a great amphitheater, sand courts for volleyball, playground area, trails, boat dock and picnic tables to hang out. Park is well maintained and in a great area with low traffic in. Ideal for the family and kids.

Keizer Rapids Park Off-leash Dog Park

Keizer Rapids Park is listed on Yelp as a "dog park" and it is. Which made me and my 4-legged daughter quite happy when traveling through Keizer, Oregon in search of an off-leash area to play. The fenced off-leash dog park has few trees and even less shade, but plenty of open grassland plus 2 covered shelters. The dog area had more than enough space for her to run free and enjoy a beautiful Oregon day. However, Keizer Rapids Park is much more than just a dog park. There are softball fields, multi-use sports fields, covered shelters, the Keizer Rotary Amphitheater, a disc golf course, sand volleyball, ball courts, a BMX course, and several parking lots. All of it is right along the Willamette River with easy access from the park. Keizer Rapids Park seemed to be a safe and family-friendly place to bring your kids to play whether they have four legs or not.

Very big bass I got a 15 pounder and it is really easy to catch you just have to go on the dock and cast out to the middle

Excellent disc golf course. Check it out! Make sure to find a map as it can get kind of confusing.

This dog park is rundown with no maintenance. I took my beloved dog there as a change of pace and…read morewas a bit disappointed. Yes, there are 2 fenced areas for dogs. It has been mowed but obviously weed eating around the fence was an additional expense, it hasn't been done. There are holes on the fenced area that could warrant a sprained or broken ankle if you don't look. They are at least 6 inches deep and 8 to 10 inches in diameter. This park has obviously been neglected by the City of Salem and needs attention. The lake adjacent to the dog park had people fishing. The only one to catch a fish was an eagle? I question even eating a fish out of that pond. There were a few people coming out of the woods while I was there, which leads to the fact that there are still some homeless in the area. Sadly, this park is not on the city of Salem's priority list and wont be back

We had no idea this dog park even existed! We used to drive 20 mins to go to the Keizer Rapids…read morepark, but this one is practically in our back yard. This park has two play areas; a larger one for big dogs and a smaller area for small dogs. Both areas have a picnic table, but no water so make sure to bring your own dog water and bowl. There is also a large river right next to (but outside of the fenced area) the park for dogs that like to play in the water. There is generally a good mix of dogs here and so far we have yet to have any issues.
