Sadly, they seem to be the only classes in southern Oregon so I have to completely re-think a gift for them.

Decided to order every appetizer and dessert they had on the menu during Saturday afternoon happy hour. Pleased at what consistent high quality dishes, sauces, spicing and flavors were served. Was completely shocked at what they did with their amazing baked brussel sprouts, a vegetable I've always imagined the devil creating, as well as the broccolini spears that came with the potatoes ....the flavors and textures were pure bliss...as well as crispy potatoes, wings and arugula salad, warm donuts, and a seasonal take on bread pudding. 4 appetizers, 4 mixed drinks, 2 desserts all for under $120. Looking forward to returning to explore more tasty surprises that most assuredly await.

And I couldn't believe how great the flavor was. Ever since eating at those two places, I've wanted and tried to replicate a southern style meal. With ribs, and I haven't ever gotten it. My flavor isn't right, and still doesn't taste southern. But this place..... oh man. This is FLAT OUT THE BEST BBQ I HAVE HAD SINCE I WAS IN THE SOUTH!!! The meat (I got the pulled pork sandwich) was just the right balance of seasoning and BBQ sauce. The coleslaw on top just added a nice little extra flavor. You can taste the smoke in the meat. It's tender. It's good, only thing missing was sweet tea, and Copenhagen, and you have yourself a southern BBQ flavored pulled pork sandwich. This is the best, THE BEST BBQ place in this valley. Hands down.

I've been looking forward to trying out this place for quite some time, since I saw it outside of…read more"The Butcher Shop." Today it was there again so I went with my mom and brother. The menu is very small - choice of sandwiches are pulled pork or beef brisket for $8.00. If you want to add a drink, chips, and coleslaw it's an extra $2.00. They also had separate sides like smoked mac 'n' cheese and baked beans. We each ordered the sandwich meal combo (my brother and I had pulled pork and my mom had beef brisket), picked out our chips (only three choices) and sat down. A couple of minutes after we sat down one of the staff members called out to us "Do you want coleslaw on your sandwiches?" Really? Couldn't ask us that when we were ordering? My mom and I asked for coleslaw on the sandwich but my brother didn't want it on his...so you would think they'd put it on the side because it's what we paid for, right? Just wait. They brought out our sandwiches...sigh. The meat was dry and lukewarm, not very much sauce, and my bread was wet and soggy (no, not with sauce). My mom said her beef brisket was tough and chewy - also, not much sauce. Neither of us could taste the coleslaw, it's a vinegar based dressing (which I totally prefer over mayonnaise) so it was disappointing that it tasted more like raw, crunchy vegetables on top of dry, lukewarm meat. Remember my brother didn't want the coleslaw on top of his sandwich? Ya, they didn't even give him any coleslaw at all. He's the the type that doesn't like to complain (even though it wasn't his fault) about something when it comes to a restaurant. Also, we were asked about three times how our food was - one of the girls got all snarky because we said it was okay. That being my review I will now say that I am from Texas, so I've had my fair share of BBQ. You can get a big, juicy pulled pork sandwich for about $6.00 and it's delicious! Then there's this place where it's $8.00 for below average BBQ that was made with high quality meat from "The Butcher Shop!" What a bummer, I'm NOT recommending this place to anyone.

Purchased an entree of MacNCheese with Brisket for $17.00. I asked for a side of sauce for the brisket in case it gets dry. We received a laughable 1-2 teaspoons of meat juice in a tablespoon sized to go container. The brisket is thinly sliced and has a nice smoke ring; super tender, no knife needed. It is exactly 4oz of brisket (weighed). The macNcheese was different, used penne pasta with ridges (nice), topped with A LOT of garlic butter, so much so that there was a puddle of oil/butter in the container that had separated on the way home. A solid 1 cup of macNcheese (more butter/oil than cheeziness) with the exactly 4oz (weighed) brisket for $17.00. The portions are insanely small for the price point. Food is fine, but it is Ridiculously Expensive for what it is. I wouldn't recommend it.
