I believe families deserve to know both. First, I want to recognize the CNAs. We became very close to several of them and truly consider them family. They were kind, compassionate, dedicated, funny, supportive, patient, and smart. Being a CNA is one of the hardest jobs there is. They work long hours, aren't paid nearly enough, and often endure verbal abuse from residents, yet continue to show kindness every day. There's a saying that a facility is only as good as its CNAs, and I completely agree. They are the heart of Bellaview. The facility is beautiful, welcoming, and well maintained. From the moment you walk in, there's a calm atmosphere. The central gathering area is wonderful for visiting and enjoying musical performances, which my mom loved. The food was hit or miss. My mom and many of her friends felt the same way. I know it's impossible to please everyone's tastes, so I don't view that as a major criticism. Bellaview also offered a wide variety of activities. The activity director was exceptional. She organized wonderful events and transformed the building for every season and holiday with beautiful decorations. Residents, families, and staff were all shocked when she was let go. One concern was the amount of turnover. We expected some turnover among CNAs because that's common in healthcare. What surprised us was the turnover in leadership and key positions, including the care coordinator, cook, nurse, marketing director, activity director, and administrator. The biggest weakness I experienced at Bellaview was communication. It wasn't an isolated issue. Throughout my mom's stay, there were repeated breakdowns between the care coordinator, nurse, administrator, and frontline staff. My brother and I visited daily, so we could usually catch problems and advocate for my mom. It made me wonder how residents without family nearby were getting the care they needed. It pains me to say this, but I was deeply hurt by my mom's end-of-life care. I stayed with her 24 hours a day during her final days and learned firsthand how important it is to have an advocate. One night, despite repeated efforts, we were unable to get my mom the morphine prescribed through hospice. Before that night, I made sure the hospice nurse, Bellaview staff, and administrator had everything entered into the electronic medication system because communication had already been an ongoing issue. Yet when my mom desperately needed comfort medication, it wasn't available for the staff to administer. The CNAs were not at fault. They simply could not legally administer medication that wasn't properly documented. I repeatedly texted, emailed, and called the administrator and nurse that night, but I couldn't reach either of them. I even spent hours trying to find contact information for the owners but couldn't reach anyone. Watching my mom suffer while being unable to get help was one of the most heartbreaking experiences of my life. I stayed awake all night feeling helpless. When the next shift of CNAs arrived, I gave them an earful, but I also made it clear my frustration wasn't with them. They were doing everything they legally could. My frustration was with a system where no responsible decision-maker could be reached during an emergency, causing unnecessary suffering. No family should ever have to experience that. I genuinely hope Bellaview addresses its communication problems because I believe they are fixable. Despite the challenges we experienced, there are many positives, including its beautiful environment, exceptional CNAs, and strong sense of community. I don't write reviews lightly, and I don't enjoy writing negative ones. But families deserve an honest picture of both the strengths and weaknesses of a place where they may entrust the care of someone they love.

Like most families navigating dementia, our top priority was stability and the best care possible. We made it very clear during the admission process that he often urinates on the floor. According to our research, this is a common reality in dementia care. We asked directly what circumstances could lead to discharge, and we understood that aggression would be the primary concern. Our dad has never shown aggression toward staff or residents and is, in our experience, well-liked by those who interact with him. During his stay, he was involved in two separate incidents where another resident struck him. Even in those situations, he did not respond with aggression. Despite this, within a short period of time, we were given a 30-day discharge notice related to the same behaviors we disclosed upfront and believed would be manageable. We also have serious concerns about the level of care and safety during his stay. Our dad experienced two falls requiring ER visits and facial stitches--despite no prior history of falls before admission. The most serious incident, as it was described to us, occurred after he wet the bed overnight. We were told he was assisted into the bathroom and left unattended while staff retrieved supplies, and was later found on the shower floor, bloody with significant injuries requiring emergency medical care. Based on what we were told, leaving a cognitively impaired resident unattended in that setting raises significant safety concerns. We attempted to work collaboratively with administration to address his incontinence, only to be told that this behavior had only been seen once or twice in the past six years, which was surprising to us given our understanding of dementia-related symptoms. To have a facility accept a resident with full knowledge of their needs, indicate those needs could be managed, and then later discharge him for those same issues was deeply disappointing. The impact is not just logistical--it is personal. Uprooting someone with dementia can lead to confusion, regression, and emotional distress that is difficult to reverse. Families depend on honesty, experience, and consistency when placing a loved one in memory care. That was not our experience.

I love Kindell in Activities. She is one of the kindest and caring People I know. She Plans the best outings, crafts and other activities. She's as sweet as her southern drawl. Ashlyn is also another great employee there. She is a very compassionate individual. All of the kitchen staff are wonderful, helpful and caring. Nurse Alissa is another one of the great employees there. There's also Heidi, Lola, Alecia, Parker, Macee. Isabelle, Amber, Shaylee, Micah, Ashland, Kandace and many more who are all an asset to Ashford along with the rest Of the staff. They love the residents. I can't forget Erin at the front desk. She always offers a warm greeting and lots of love.

He is shaven, clean, nails cut but a bit stubborn to do his exercises but I think at nearly 95 they have that right. There is just not enough words to thank everyone and again especially Ashley for everything they have done to make our father-in-laws stay pleasant and tolerable.

The staff at this facility is so compassionate and caring that I know, without a doubt, that my father is getting the best care. When I arrive to see him, he is alway dressed and well groomed. He is well fed and the meals are delicious and nourishing. The rooms at the Namaste center are beautiful and spacious. The facility does NOT smell of urine or other unwelcome odors. Every staff member knows my name and is genuinely is happy to see me when I come to visit. They care for my dad like they would care for a member of their own family. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Crescent Senior Living Center in Sandy, UT. This facility is everything it claims to be and more. The staff is professional and extremely attentive to all of her needs. In addition to the facility being kept clean and comfortable, it offers almost daily activities for the residents to participate in and fosters a family-like atmosphere. I have been very happy with the Crescent Senior Living Center and the care they have provided my sister. We want to sincerely thank Jode and Adysen and all the incredible people at Sagewood but mainly those in assisted living (Mountain View) for their extraordinary care they gave my dad-in-law. Jode and Adysen, in particular, have cared for him as if he were family, showing endless patience, warmth, love and attentiveness. We never needed to worry when we were not around. There are no words to fully express what these two, Jode and Adysen, along with the font desk personnel and the amazing beautiful staff at Sagewood team mean to our family. They are and always will be our family. We are profoundly grateful for all the love and kindness they have shown us and dad throughout the years.
