The woman who cut my hair seemed clueless about cutting mens hair, was very hesitant and clumsy, and left my hair a sloppy mess. I vowed not to return, no matter how low the price. Then some months later, someone close to me told me that they'd basically turned over the entire initial crew, and that the people working there are much more capable. In addition, they'd continued to advertise very inexpensive cuts, so I decided to go back. Glad I did. The woman who cut my hair clearly was experienced and gave me a nice, neat cut. Now, make no mistake, this isn't a cut on the level of say Phil's in downtown New Haven -- there's little blending of the sides, my neck wasn't shaved with a razor, and she didn't do a great job around my ears. At the promotional price I paid, it was still a no-brainer. At its regular price of $14, it's still a decent deal. As a comparable, this cut was as easily as good as what I recently got at Sports Clips in Milford, where the regular price is $19 and they're pushing washes hard so you're likely to be paying something like $22+ tip.
