It is amazing that I have only discoverd this little gem recently. I have often driven past and have heard that it is a good bakery from various sources. I suppose it is because I am not a big eater of baked goods that I haven't discovered it before. I needed to buy a cake to take to a friend's place and another friend suggested I get a carrot cake from this bakery: Well this carrot cake was beyond anything I have ever tasted; truly divine and very moist (an important adjective when describing cakes). I will be back to discover other tasty morsels from here. They have won many awards, which are proudly displayed in the window, for their artisan breads and pies and pasties/ The parking is a little tricky, but when taking photos for this review I did discover a small car park behind the shop.

Nice food but first time I had to stand in a queue that stretched out the door. Suggest they put on some extra staff during peak hours

Normally at weddings the cake is barely touched, however I defy anyone not to eat their slice of a Heidleberg Cake. There cakes are also very reasonably priced starting at a little over $30. My boyfriend had the most amazing cake at his 21st birthday and after discovering that he ordered it from Heidelberg's, without hesitation I decided to order one for my own 21st birthday party. Heidelberg Cakes produces made-to-order cakes, specialising in weddings and parties. There are a variety of cake flavours, which are all amazingly delicious and in order to help you decide what flavour you want, they offer free samples of their cakes. I ended up going for the chocolate and caramel cake. There are also a huge number of themes and designs to choose from, which was great for me as I had a themed birthday party. The service was also top notch and very professional. My cake was also delivered by Heidelberg's staff to the party's venue, just before it started. All of my guests greatly enjoyed the cake, and I can't wait until I have another occaision which calls for me ordering a cake from Heidelbergs!

So, unfortunately I cannot comment on the taste of their cup cakes. However, the cakes that were on display were amazing works of art. If ever someone should be called a cake artist it is certainly the person who decorated these. There was an amazingly detailed scene of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party made entirely out of icing sugar which drew us in to look at all the other amazingly decorated cakes. Somehow, I don't think you would be disappointed if you ordered a cake from here. I noticed, in the window that they are now serving traditional high tea and they also make their own fudge and peanut brittle. There is a side area with seating to eat in and it does have a tea shop type of feel with wooden floorboards and white walls.

I drop in here regularly when I'm in Victor to grab some of their fresh baked croissants for breakfast the next day - I've even been really keen once or twice and gone and got them fresh that morning, before I've even had coffee. This is probably more dangerous for them than me, I can be a bear without that coffee. Pies have nice flaky pastry, eclairs and honey sticks are full of gorgeously fresh cream - and the donuts are sufficiently sprinkled to get the kids bouncing off the walls before they've even tasted them. The business is cash only - but they've conveniently got a teller machine tucked in the corner so you can get the cash to buy your goods. There is everything here you can think of from a bakery, and it's all good - they do a range of rolls and sandwiches, too, and it's always service with a smile. Parking has just got a little restricted with the centre it's in being under construction with a shiny new IGA going in, but there's still a good amount of off street parking. Drop in when you're here - and try those croissants, they're spectacular.

Worst bakery around for any cakes or cake toppers. Recently…read morebought a $65 12inch cake for a special birthday and it looked horrible. There was crumbs all over it, the writing was half under the border, there were 4 big finger prints in the cream and a massive dent up the top. They charged us an extra $5 for 3-4 strawberries which weren't ripe, covered in blotches of cream, cut into all different sizes and still dirty. There was absolutely no love or care in their work and when we collected it, they had it on a really flimsy board that couldn't hold the weight of the cake and the box was completely ridiculous. It was too shallow so there was no way to cover the cake, it was 3x as wide as the cake so it barely fit in the car and it had jam all on the bottom side so it was horrible. The girls that served us didn't care one bit and wouldn't help us because it was the bakers area and he wasn't there anymore. Unfortunately they're the only local bakery to do custom cake toppers and they're definitely not worth the $15. They don't cut them out, they're blurry and covered in crumbs. I also got told two or three different ways to get them off the plastic which they said they couldn't remember which way was right so I'll just have to figure it out. I will never give them another chance after being disappointed every single time!
