Excellent and interesting Indian cuisine, many menu option you won't find elsewhere (and they are good, not just different). My friend and I shared 3starters and three mains so we could get a good view of everything.
Among the starters, he aubergine and prawn pickle was great and interesting. Same for the goat cheese starter. While the onion bhaji was different than you typically get it, it wasn't particularly tasty or special.
On the mains, an interesting chicken curry made from the chef's local region. It was great, chicken was tender, not spicy but very flavorful. The tandoori pistachio lamb was slightly disappointing, Weile nothing wrong with it the pistachio flavor was pretty much a few kernels thrown on the plate. The highlight, though, was the duck from the chef's special section. Crispy skin and incredible flavor. I'd go back (and will) just for it many times.
Service was also quite friendly, earnest and efficient. While there are a few great Indian restaurants on the is;and (probably our strongest cuisine), they should be in the conversation for best. read more
