Food was alright but I would like to comment on the failed promise that Jeff made. During our agreement he had mentioned that they would box our food and give the leftovers to our wedding guests, but come the end of the day and his men just packed up and left without a word. No left overs were boxed, it was all either tossed away or taken by the caterers. I followed up about this issue, 3 or 4 times, and was ignored, pacified and ultimately left in the blue. No apologies, no investigations--nothing. I paid an extra $572.50 for 25 more guests thinking, "Hey, well if I guessed a little over, we will have a lot of left over food." Only the original 80 guests, we expected, showed up and we had about 30-35 guests worth of food left over and it all disappeared. They cut our cake, and it was great! the team was very professional and polite but there must have been some miscommunication between Jeff and his team, or just straight up carelessness. I would give 2.5 stars but I had to round to 3 for the hard work the caterers did. Total amount spent $2,871.35 on 105 guests, the price was perfect. read more

Although, we didn't get to work with Orange County Catering due to covid the interaction we've had with them was very pleasurable. Jeff made numerous accommodations due to my busy schedule. The food prepared by the chef during our taste test was so delicious. The chef fed us visual portions that our guests would be eating the day of our wedding. Our husband and I, wanted to provide our guest quality, delicious food without hurting our pockets too much lol and Orange County Catering understood our budget and did not try to influence to spend more but worked with our budget. Unfortunately, due to covid we had to cancel our wedding which was heart breaking. But, we won't forget the delicious meal we had and gracious experience we shared with Orange County Catering. I got their services for my wedding and I would NOT recommend it to nobody else. The food was good as I was expecting but the service was beyond horrible. The bartender had no clue how to prepare the drinks I asked for, I payed extra for waitress to serve wine during the dinner and I didn't have anybody serving anything. I payed extra for 6 heaters and I only had 5 delivered. We were extremely upset, I'm still upset bc it was the most important day for me and they ruined with bad service. I was under a very tight budget for my wedding and was told there was no way anyone could do what I wanted for the price I had. Jeff proved them wrong. He provided rentals, food, assistance and even and arch for the wedding ceremony. I feel like he went above and beyond to help make sure that my day was special and perfect. The food, and we chose the most simple menu possible, was phenomenal. We had multiple accolades given to us about our choice of food and the staff was amazing. Jeff and his team were very flexible with me to ensure that I got exactly what I was looking for. They handled a difficult wedding co-ordinator and kept me out of the fray. After searching for for someone to cater our company's holiday party, we received a very good proposal for the meal and from the very beginning of the whole process, (having to change the guest list a few times) they were very patient and thorough to understand exactly what we wanted and needed for the party. Once the servers showed up, the whole thing went perfectly, great friendly service and good food. The only small complaint is the sirloin was a little overcooked and tough, but the flavor was still very good. We would definitely use them for another event. Wow. Just hosted an event with these guys as the caterers. I do NOT recommend using them if you're working on a schedule. Pro: Great food. Con: LATE! We had 50 people sitting around for 20 minutes waiting on the guy to set up the food. He arrived about 45 minutes before the event, started setting up, then disappeared! He was MIA for about 15-20 minutes. We finally went outside looking for him because everyone had arrived and we still had NO FOOD. He reappeared after all the guests had arrived with no explanation. Con: LATE also meant we had to scramble to get everything cleaned up before our time was up at the venue. Luckily, our guests had no idea the stress we were going through with this guy being late and then disappearing. The only reason this catering company gets an extra star is because our guests liked the food. read more

We didn't actually book them for an event, but met them at a bridal show last week, and this is a review of that. They were giving out samples of their cakes, which could have looked nice if it wasn't smashed. You would think if they wanted you to book them for an event they would make sure not to give you a smashed cake. But oh well, they were pretty busy with 2 other people standing around looking at their fliers. Not a big deal, but shows you they lack attention to detail. The frosting on the cake (it was like a chocolate fondant?) was funny tasting, and sickly sweet. The cake on the inside lacked flavor, and it was slightly lacking some moisture. I didn't finish eating it, and left it in their container in the fridge. It was completely dry and gross tasting by the next day. I feel like Betty Crocker instant cake mix could have tasted better. Not impressed. If this is how their service/cakes are when trying to get your business, I can only imagine what it would be like after they get a contract. read more

Orange County Catering seemed like a good fit since they were linked to our venue, The French Estate. We talked with Jeff at our tastings and worked out which package to go with. He suggested using nice plasticware as opposed to real plateware as it greatly reduced our price. The example he modeled to us was quite nice looking, not average picnic styrofoam. Unfortunately, at our wedding, somehow styrofoam plates is what we ended up with. While the food was good, having that low standard was pretty embarrassing at our wedding and one of the only things I can complain about from our day. I was disappointed as up to that point they had seemed like a great company to work with, and I was surprised at the lack of honest and keeping their word as to the standard they had ensured. Overall, if I had to do it again I would not choose Orange County Catering as it threw off the aesthetics and look of our day which is unfortunate. read more

This review is long overdue. Jeff and Orange County Catering did my sister's Celebration of Life Party back in August. They were so professional and gracious, and did a wonderful job. Jeff came out to our house for a tasing, and we were able to try even more items at his Fullerton location. He made sure the set up was beautiful, as well, and helped us with the flowers and balloons. The guests were impressed and my family is very grateful for making the day a special one. read more

Thank you so much! We used Orange County Catering to host a special teacher breakfast at my school. We decided to splurge a little this year instead of just having bagels and juice and went all out. They arrived a little early which was great and it gave me time to get other things ready before the staff came to the lounge for food. All the food was delicious, fresh, and wonderful. OC Catering Rocks!! They did such a good job for my mother in law's 70th surprise birthday party. The food was fresh and the service was beyond all expectations. My mother in law is difficult to please, and she was so impressed with OC Catering that she booked them for her upcoming 50th wedding anniversary. I used Orange County Catering for my kids' birthday party. We had a Minion theme and asked them to help us design a menu to feed 70 people, both children and adults. The owner, Jeff, understood we were on a budget and worked with it to make sure that we had everything we needed. They created an awesome table display for us that made our kiddie party look top-notch. Our menu was grilled chicken, the most amazing cornbread ever (soooo moist and sweet!!! ORDER EXTRA!!!!), these amazing baked beans that had bacon in them and some sweet peppers (your guests will really love them) and their mac 'n'cheese was seriously the BEST-EVER. I even showed them these Minion twinkie cupcakes I had found on Pinterest and they were able to make them for the party as well. Horrible food, lousy service, bad attitude! We also booked the buffet, it was a waste of money, the food appeared to be store bought and thrown together, which anyone can do. We ordered food for more than our headcount and yet we still ran out of food instantly. The owner doesn't hang around, his worker did nothing to fix the problem. My daughter planned a 40th anniversary party for us at our home and used Orange County Catering. From the set-up to take-down, they were wonderful! The staff was friendly, professional and efficient. We were so pleased with Jeff and Orange County Catering when they catered my husband's 60th birthday party in my home. Jeff worked with me to develop the menu I wanted and he was very patient with all the questions I had, not like some other caterers who lack people skills and just tell you to look at their menu. The gentleman who set up our buffet arrived early and had it all ready right on time, even though it was pouring rain and he had to park around the corner from my house due to all the cars out front. The food was awesome! Plenty of food for my guests and everyone raved about it. We had a small plates dinner with six different appetizers. The crab cakes, though a tad soggy, were full of CRAB not filler. Chicken satay was delicious, a real smoked-over-the-coals taste. Hamburger sliders were probably the best I've ever had, high quality beef and a slightly sweet bun. Everybody LOVED those. Bruschetta bar ingredients were so fresh, even the next day when we ate leftovers! The set up was nice, linen on the tables (although they got the color wrong!) and nice large covered chafing dishes. I used Orange County Catering yesterday for a special celebration for my daughter. Jeff- the owner helped us plan this party that was a total success! Our guests RAVED about the food and the friendly and helpful staff working the party. They arrived early and started setting everything up and this was done in a beautiful manner. They knew we were having a casino themed party and even brought a lot of table decorations matching our theme. (We did not even ask for it) Jeff came days before to make a site check and helped with the planning of the location of the food tables as well as a beverage station. His obviously experienced staff went right to work putting things together. They did not rush us to put food away when the buffet line was finished. They kept the food out and refilled as needed. At the end of the party they cleaned up and boxed everything and put it in my fridge! I talked to a few guests today and the number one comment was "the food was delicious!" If you get a choice for dessert- go for the apple cobbler with ice cream- yes- it was served warm! The brisket was the most tender and flavorful. Mac and cheese a big hit! Its always nice to be so satisfied that I can leave five stars for this company- if 10 was an option- they would get it! I have already booked them for my Christmas party. read more
