I went about a year about to get one but walked out in disgust bc the young girl behind the counter was using her bare hands without gloves to cut the fruit. Today I thought I'd give another chance and I should never have ... a man with a long braid came from the cash register after touching cash and did not wash his hands OR put gloves on when making my acai bowl. I had to turn away bc he used his bare dirty hands handling the fruit AND the fruit was sitting out on this 85 degree day. The bananas were rotten. He then proceeded to LICK HIS FINGER after making it and took the nest costumer after handling my money. And it was $16. I was so disgusted and unfortunately will never go back. Be aware that there is no sanitation at this place, imagine how dirty everything else is there ....

The fresh (organic) vegetables do stand out but also a variety of products I'd consider somewhat hard to find in the area. After each visit she'd repeat "You have to go to Bumpy's!" Last weekend she saw their Facebook post on a special deal for (local & organic) Silver Queen corn. I happened to be home and jumped at the chance to go with her to check the place out. I wish I'd gone the first time she told me about this place. I'm an avid keto dieter and both of us appreciate high quality food (especially locally grown produce), and Bumpy's doesn't disappoint. They have a nice assortment of Keto friendly products, some I'd never seen before. Part of my Keto "problem" is that I have a wicked sweet tooth and if something doesn't taste quite right (or very close to the real thing) I won't eat it. Two things I discovered there were Keto "maple syrup" sweetened with Monkfruit and sugar free ketchup that tastes amazing and is acceptable with regards to my carb intact. I've attached a photo of the two. Anyway, Bumpy's has a slew of great products for seemingly every type of diet. The focus is ethically sourced, organic, etc. They even had some of my favorite stevia sweetened soda. We walked out of there with a trove of stuff that either sounded too good to not try, filled gaps in our diets, or we just needed as part of our normal grocery shopping. The beets we bought were so sweet and the corn was out of this world. We had some off the cob and I also put some in homemade salsa. They have a frequent shopper program and if you check-in on Yelp there's a special promotional discount. Me being a small local business owner I love supporting others. I'll have to keep going to get over the regret of not getting there sooner!

Warning-Read before you buy! Their tagline is #1…read morePractitioner brand! Problem is they don't care about practitioners! I'm a licensed ND and have carried their products for over 20 years. Years ago you could only get their products through a licensed medical professional. But they sold out and opened their Amazon store and have gone down hill ever since. You may not care because you are purchasing on Amazon, but any company that throws their practitioners under the bus is a company that only cares about their bottom line. And any company that only cares about their bottom line is a company that I guarantee is cutting corners else where including the quality of their ingredients. You are better off buying from other reputable companies.

I had been buying my supplements from her. I was able to buy the two others from Pureformulas.com, but they wouldn't sell me this one because I wasn't a professional. Go figure. Ginny's colleague, who works out of an office in Benicia but whom I know from Ginny's office in Kensington, gave me my first bottle of OmegaAvail, dropping it off at my house and refusing payment. She preferred it to the Pure Formulas brand and now that I've been using it, so do I. I have been buying it, along w/ the other two, from Pureformulas.com, via autoship, which is very convenient. I like that it's one large softgel in the morning rather than three small ones in the morning and another three at night. It comes in a glass bottle which is recyclable and I like that.
