When my longtime PCP left Kaiser several months ago, I wondered whether I would be able to find another doctor with the same level of dedication and mutual respect that I value in a physician-patient relationship. Today I met Dr. Martin Levine and came away very impressed. He is an exceptional listener and was fully present during our visit. His questions about my medical history and current health were thoughtful and specific rather than routine or generic. What impressed me most was the thoughtfulness of his clinical judgment--his questions clearly reflected a careful effort to understand the full picture of my health. His manner was relaxed, professional, and genuinely caring, and I left the appointment feeling confident that my health is in very capable hands. Dr. Globerman is a wonderful caregiver and carefully helps us orchestrate the specialist care we need from time to time as we age. His nurse, Richard, is a very efficient fellow who apologizes for any waiting periods, keeps us informed and covers the intake bases to allow Dr. G to spend quality time with me. Learning to navigate the KP system can be a bit challenging, but just a short period of looking through the websites and it becomes clear how to get what I need. We are blessed to have such good care. Anyone complaining about KP hasn't done their homework. Terrible experience. Walked in and waiting over 90 minutes for a simple urine sample for a kidney…read moreinfection. I gave my sample Monday and results should have been ready Wednesday, as advised. I called every day to be told it wasn't ready or hung up on when they put me on hold. Finally the following Monday, a week after my visit I was told my sample was lost and never sent out. I returned the next day to give another sample but it was only sent for a 24 hour culture instead of 72 hour. Finally I went to another urgent care to get actual results. You can literally smell the negligence when you walk in the door.
