If I could give zero star, this would be it. I've been struggling to see my doctor since mid December. Too much to explain but definitely never coming back here again. I'm always leery when visiting a new medical office. TMG, Downey, is AMAZING. They were very kind and friendly, from the receptionist to the nurse to Dr. Ochoa. Several things to be happy about: 1) I'm extremely happy that all medical specialists are located in one convenient place. My PCP, Gyn, and any other "common" specialists (including a physical therapy center!) are all in the same building. 2) The office is extremely organized, clean and relaxing. The general atmosphere is quiet and nicely decorated. My wait time, both in the waiting room AND in my exam room, was less than 10 minutes each. 3) While Dr. Ochoa was VERY breezy and whirled in and out of my room a couple times, he was genuinely interested in how I felt and what I had to say. He was knowledgeable about my condition and possible remedies, but also quite agreeable to maintain my current course of treatment (allergies) if that was what I was comfortable with. 4) They are tech-savvy: Once my paperwork was completed, they gave me the option of using tmg4me.com and I readily agreed! I can book my own appointments, check labs, medications and refills, and look at my own medical chart as it is updated with each visit. And I can do this anytime, day or night. Now, if only they could refer me to a decent dentist in the area. :) read more

I love coming here! Dr Nguyen is amazing! She was with me throughout my whole pregnancy and even delivered Aubrey! Dr yeung is also an amazing pediatrician. I'm still sad that I had to switch Aubrey to a different provider due to insurance, but if I could get her back to this office I would.. I'm glad that I am still able to come myself. Dr. Ooo review. Let me start of by saying she is such an amazing, smart & most comfortable Doctor I've ever met. Bedside manner is great! Top's them all. She listens to your concerns and helps you understand. Wait time is exactly, your appt. scheduled time. She is patient with you during your appt. You almost don't feel like "you simply aren't just a insurance & payment $$ claim. Dr. Ooo is soft spoken and always gets back to You with any requests you have or questions if you ever have to leave a msg w/nurse or her staff. I went on vacation out of the country & voice my concerns for vaccines & immediately the nurse called me back the next day w/what the doctor said. She always cares for the patient, and is for the patient! It's always not fun coming to the doctor with insecurities or problems medically that you aren't comfortable even sharing or getting personal with but she's the doctor you can come to & simple address all your needs and concerns. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2 or 4 because of downstairs Physical Therapy, lab techs, my current doctor, and some great nurses. I find this place nice, decent to sit in compared to other doctor's offices. I think they have fixed the front desk issues, but definitely still have issues with nursing staff. Seem there or more bad than good when it comes to actually dealing with real issues and some even get an attitude with you. For instance one time I just left my doctor and he told me to contact him if there was issues when I went to the dentist in 15 min. I'm on Plavix and needed to get some emergency dental work done. I was in severe pain. My cardiologist told me that under no conditions at that time should I go off of it. The dentist contacted them and the nurses said for me to go off per doctors orders. So I called direct and all I got was an attitude and refusal to let me speak with the doctor. That nurse is still working there and as far as my knowledge will do the same thing again. Needless to say I had to have my dentist luckily get a hold of my Cardiologist which then signed off saying I can't go off, then dental work proceeded. But because of that nurse and her refusal to let me speak to the doctor (even after I told her I was just there and doctor told me to call and talk to him direct if any issues) I had to take pain killers and wait a day to get in, because of closing time. She caused me a great deal of pain. If I could rate her it would be -5. So to be fair. Taking the good with the bad, there are doctors who care. Some take more time and some are friendlier. I miss my old doctor there, he had to leave due to some pretty unfortunate circumstances. So to end this, this was Talbert Medical before the name change. Just be warned, some nursing staff there, seems to be set by doctor you have aren't the best. Or maybe I just get the bad luck of the draw. Also it almost seems like the best nurses I have had there are gone and they kept the majority of the ones that should of been booted. read more

The Nurses are excellent, I use to be happy with the Doctor's at Healthcare Partner. I've have been coming here for the past 20 years. Just two months ago I was assigned to DR. Phan I'm not happy with him he is there for a pay check, he dose not care about his patients. He have me a medical certificate to be off work for a tumor. My employer contacted Dr Phan, He stated that he never put me off. I think he did not remember me. What kind of Dr. Dose not know his patients typically Filipino. read more

I went for a annual Pap smear in this place which is covered in my insurance, however, after getting the bill, I still need to pay $125 out of my pocket. Turned out the healthcare partners performed a hpv test which is not included in the annual Pap smear. According to my insurance, hpv test is optional (normally don't perform on women under age 30, I'm 29) and doesn't covered in the annual test. the hospital should ask me for approval before giving the test, but they didn't. They just request myself to pay the outstanding balance. A free test ended up cost me $125!!!!!! Be careful if you are going here. read more

I have going to Kaiser for years! but since I had to switch to what my employer offers, I chose Talbert because it was close to home. I only went once for a check-up and it was ok. I just found out at pregnant beginning of this month and requested an apt but they didn't give me till july2. Now, at Kaiser, this wasn't a problem seeing the doctor quick as they have a lot of OB/GYN and nurse practitioner BUT when I called Talbert if I can get an apt sooner they said NO! because the nurse practitioner only goes in their office twice a week on Mondays and Tuesday....THIS IS DID NOT LIKE AT ALL!! Kaiser they see you within that week. Here at Talbert, I called on June 9th and have to wait until July 2nd. So far, not a good experience yet. I plan to switch to a different office after my apt. :( read more

Dr Oo and Dr Nguyen are fantastic! Very approachable, personable, very practical advices/recommendations, very friendly and pleasant. I loved these Doctors. My husband went to see Dr Ochoa and was very unhappy due to not being explained his condition, which was pretty serious. He was referred to do bunch of tests but no follow up from the Dr's office about the results or recommendations except for couple of prescriptions. My Husband wants recommendations how to not be in a place where he had to take those medications versus just popping pills. The front desk and the appointment desk experience was various. The appointment person was super rude and had a major attitude issue. She almost scolded me and my husband for trying to schedule our whooping cough appointment for my husband after the baby was born to be safe. She also gave a real hard time about missed appointment (my husband had a real last minute emergency, which has never happened - it was the first and only Time he has missed an appointment). Front desk experience also was mixed. 2 times the front desk ladies (one at a time) were extremely rude and had attitude (acted almost like she/they didn't want to be there). I am not sure if that was somehow related to the fact that I was dressed very casually and simple (it's Dr's appointment and not a trip to work or a date night). And 1 out of 3 times the front desk lady ( a little senior than other younger girls there) she was very friendly, and professional. Thumbs up! If not up to the front desk, Dr Ochoa and appointment phone calls negative experience I would give 5 stars for Drs that I have seen. Yay! Victoria is back. What more can I say. She genuinely cares about her patients. And to me that is all that matters. In my lowest of lows, she actually went way above and beyond of what I could have expected. It is hard dealing with an ADHD child, let alone two, so when I needed help she was there. Worst provider I've ever been to. My P.A. I seen for probably 3 years left. Every time I have dealt with any other physician or P.A. At this clinic I have had to constantly call to get any questions answered. My pharmacy goes through the same issues trying to get prescription refills. My daughters doctor wants us to get a TDAP since she is going to give birth. I have spent 3 days trying to get it. I called Tuesday due to Monday being a holiday and was told that the message would be sent to the doctor. No call back no answer to the question of whether they do the shot there or if I have to get an order and go to the pharmacy. I called back Wednesday and the person who answered the phone said there was no note that I had left a message. I left a message again. I was told at that time that they do give it to people under 65 if over 65 they have to go to the pharmacy. I was also told that they would see if they could get the order then they would call me back to schedule the appointment for the injection. Guess what, no call. Our pharmacy has called us in the past and urged us to call the doctor because they couldn't get anyone to respond to the prescription refill requests that they had put through for over a week. They sent me to a specialist and he was barely able to even open the door to come in for my exam. His assistants couldn't draw my blood but tried several times and screwed up my hand but didn't get the amount needed and said I don't know what he's wanting to order but we'll try this amount that we got and see if it works. How about sending me to the lab where they're competent. I am leaving this network based on incompetence of some of the staff and non communication from the physicians. read more

Don't ever need an ultrasound or mammogram they don't have the ability to do one, they send you a referral for an office called Los coyotes and that appointment can be up to a month or more. I'm switching to another provider. read more

Dont go here...Everything went smooth in my first pap appointment. She gave me another appt 2 weeks later for my results, I said "ok" i guess. When i went in for my results they charge my co payment again and my insurance again BUT why i they charging again!!! I thought maybe i came out positive on something but NO i was clean. This place is a joke! I arrived to my son's doctors visit, they stated I wasn't covered to call my insurance to verify, I thought they were supposed to check before? I would've appreciated a call before so at least this could have been taking care! Anyways, called my insurance and got the correct member number. I took it back to the front office and now they are calling to verify and found out it was off by one number! Maybe if they would've called before the insurance they would've caught this sooner!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY! I had 3 visits at this HCP and all of them lacked professionalism nor were they helpful or friendly to me as their patient. For my initial visit, I asked to be scheduled for physical and Pap smear. When I got to my appt I was told i was on schedule only for woman wellness check. When I told the receptionist I also asked for a physical, she gave me a look like if I was stupid and told me I had to schedule it another day. I am aI have to work and can't come in at any day or time. I disregarded this as a mistake (we all make mistakes) and proceeded with my woman wellness check up as this is what I was most concerned about. I met with Dr. Nguyen for this check up and she was very short and rude. I asked about birth control options and all she did was give me pamphlets and told me to look them over. I thought this was strange because when I usually go to other doctors offices the doctors will answer and explain whatever questions I had. Through out this visit I felt very rushed to get in and get out. I went back after I picked which birth control and met with Dr. Carter and I was not explained much about the birth control. He only asked if I had any questions, I asked what do I expect ... what happens after my birth control is inserted. His answers were very vague. During my procedure (I forgot to mention I was getting my paragard inserted) there seemed like some complication going on. The doctor and his assistant stopped in the middle of the procedure and walked out the room to discuss something. Meanwhile, I am laying on the table with my legs wide open! I asked if everything was ok and of course they said yes. I kept hearing them whispering to each other and mind you I am a hearing impaired individual so I would ask them what were they talking about and they would just respond or nothing we are just checking you. They knew I was hearing impaired and proceeded to whisper any ways. I thought this was very rude. Once the procedure was over, I was rushed out of the room. MY LAST AND FINAL VISIT, I went for a check up on my paragard and was escorted to the exam room and waited. I waited for nearly 20 mins for the doctor! When Dr. Carter finally came in.. the check up was only 2 mins long. Though he was not rude like Dr Nguyen, he was rushing me out of that room and failed to tell me how to check for my strings on the paragard. As a physician, it is your duty to educate your patients the pros and cons on their birth control... what to look for... when/ why to call the doctors. Again, I was rushed out that room! I am no one to complain and just go with the flow but this facility is rude and unprofessional. I am definitely never ever going there again! Neither should you. I had the best experience at the Downey location. I was able to get an apointment in a timely manner even tho I was added on to a busy schedule, my wait was not to bad. Staff was very courteous starting with the front office to the nurses who assisted me. Place is very clean and organized, it tells me that the persons in charge really care about their patients and their well being. I plan on continuing my care with this office. read more

My family ( 3 adults & 3 yrs old) have been coming here since 2011. The pediatric dept 10 stars if I could, but Dr. Prasad Chode is a type of Dr. who asks u what ur there 4, but right when I can answer, he rudely interrupts u.. I thought my husband was exaggerating when he'd say that after his billions of spots. Till of course I became his pt too. Ok, so after almost 2 yrs, we stayed in the same facility but we changed Dr. 2 Dr. Gallardo..a bit better 2 say the least. Now, my husband is under pain management w/ specialist outside Talbert, so of couse, there's referrals flying bk & forth, but lately, Talbert's receptionist can be "politely RUDE" the ONLY 1 who goes out of her way 2 explain things in OUR English is Maggie, but every other 1 there act like we r taking their sweet time, huffing & puffing. Now, we have 2 change to a whole new php...that's going 2 b fun w/ a husband going thru pain management. read more

I went to this Medical Group in December and I use to go to Kaiser and I as well am leary about new offices and I have to give this office a 5 star for this office is very organized and in my opinion its professionalism at its finest. These employees are very efficient and try to make sure your wait is minimul and when they are running behind they call the front desk and make sure you are informed they will be with you. I enjoyed the service I got and the staff was friendly and professional and took their job seriously. I had the flu and I was feeling so sick it was the first time I ever felt that bad with the flu and they gave me my RX and come monday I still wasnt better they got me in and got me an injection and as much as I hate shots I was willing to take 10 to feel better and within an hour or less I was feeling the results for that Flu was kickin my butt and bad. I see Dr. Nguyen-Phuc at Downey Talbert. She is very harsh about weight gain to the point where I don't even want to continue to be her patient anymore. She said my baby can get stuck at the shoulders and die if I keep gaining weight. She also said she is almost positive I will have to have a C-section because I have gained 45 pounds. My med. home changed based on our company insurance. I cannot say the name of the doctor because I dont work there, unlike some obviously fake reviews. This review is genuine. I took my two daughters for physical September 2013. On the date of her physical they assured it would just need a simple stamp and data input on a pre-school form now that the physical was complete. I submitted a form to stamped and signed off for childcare. They said it would be fine. Suddenly, they have to bill me before I can pick it up??? I am not asking for medical records, just the form that reflects the results of her physical with date and immunzation records. To be billed for a simple form is RIDICULOUS. Furthermore, on my own visit, the doctor wished to receive my medical records from our previious hospital. Thsi is needed because of previous Biopsy's due to cervical cancer. The doctor assured that she would call me once the records arrived and clarify what my status was. She NEVER called me back. I don't even know if she realy requested my records, but I signed off a waiver. This medical department is really unprofessional, and it has been such a frustrating experience. It is clear that this medical group only desires money they could bill me, and my insurance. They do not really care for the patients wellbeing. This is quite sad in the medical field. I am now in process of switching my medical home, I hope that others can read this review before switching to Talbert medical group. I am not sure if I should report them for false information and HIPPA violations. But time will come when they go through audits and they realize the fraud that is being commited by their department. after years of taking my kids to this office with nothing but the best care and little to no wait time, suddenly they started making all kinds of last minute changes and today when i needed an appointment that I never had trouble with before, all of a sudden they don't take my plan anymore and no further information was given. after about an hour of trying to figure everything out, turns out all their patients are being referred to a hole in the wall urgent care that has horrible reviews on yelp. horrible! read more
