I came into this location in immediate need of a storage unit, and having never had to secure one before, I had A LOT of questions. I also had a few criteria I really wanted for the location of my unit - I wanted to be as close to the security cameras and elevator entrance as possible, since I or my other teammates would sometimes have to come to the unit alone or late at night. Danielle patiently searched each floor in the computer to find units that fit my size specs, along with these other two main criteria, and found a few options. We went and looked at each one, and looked at the location in reference to the cameras for each unit. We found the right one and placed it on hold until the 1st of the month (today), so we could start the rental on a full month. On the 1st, I went back in and found that my needs had changed. Even though this caused her to do a little more work to edit the info in the computer, she was still super helpful and upbeat. After a little while, we found the perfect, bigger unit and got it keyed and ready to go! I am so thrilled to finally be able to move this stuff out of my home into a space where it can be organized and well kept. I really like that there are trashcans on each floor, easily accessible, and bathrooms on 2 levels as well. The office at this account is clean, welcoming and they even make popcorn on the weekends for their customers! So far, I'm really loving my experience with Morningstar!!

I saw that the hours were until 9 PM so I booked it around 5:30PM and showed up around 7pm after packing my car full of items. I had gotten a text saying my unit was ready-clearly it's not. On the app it said my access was denied for the gate code to get in. I requested a code via text and when I typed it in it said see manager. Well, the office was closed and no one was answering the phones so that wasn't an option. Apparently they need to verify ID-totally fine- but MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOMEONE THERE TO VERIFY. Ended up calling Customer Service and canceled my account and will hopefully be getting a refund. Unfortunately still got charged an admin fee but at this point, I was just over it and need to find something else for tonight. Don't bother with this place.

Tryon in Yorkmount had been acquired by "those who shall not be named" and the place has been going downhill ever since, so when I heard Morningstar was opening up in Southend I knew I had to switch back to the winning team. Sherry, the property manager, is fantastic. She made the leasing process incredibly smooth and has real pride in her property. You knew you were in good hands after talking with her. I toured the facilities and found them to be clean, very climate controlled (especially in this 90 degree weather), and easy to navigate. The day I turn in my keys to "the other guys" will be a happy day indeed. I seriously missed the quality and care of Morningstar.

Very disappointing experience with Public Storage…read more My storage unit was broken into, and valuable belongings were stolen. What made the situation even worse was the way the situation was handled afterward. I asked management to review the security cameras because the police were also requesting the footage, but I was told that the cameras could not provide coverage of my unit. One of the employees even told me, in substance, that the manager doesn't pay her enough to care about customers. That was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable to hear after someone's belongings had been stolen. When customers trust a storage facility with valuable personal property, I expect the company to take security concerns seriously, cooperate with law enforcement, and make a reasonable effort to investigate what happened. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this facility

While the staff is doing great work, the physical state of the property does not match the high level of service that I experience on a monthly basis. I was taught that YOU CANNOT EXPECT WHAT YOU DON'T INSPECT! To be clear, If you don't inspect the property on a regular basis, then you cannot expect the property to maintain the five-star experience. The staff deserves a cleaner environment to show new customers and to retain old ones. Hope to see better maintenance next time regarding the urine smell, because the customer service is first class!
