The painting quality was fair at best. Nail holes were filled, but there was no sanding done, which affected the finish. Overall, follow-through and communication were lacking once payment and work were underway.

The thought of picking up a paint brush to get my kitchen done just made me ill. I hate climbing up and down ladders and when I looked at the cabinets and having to lean over them to paint just wasn't in the cards for me. I recently hired Juli from Paint Color Help to pick out my color and so I decided to hire painters to get the job done so I didn't procrastinate for a month or take forever painting my kitchen by myself in small sections. I found an ad on Craigslist and setup a free estimate the next evening...I met with Maynard who gave me a fair price and he had painters available for the next day. I gave him a deposit and a key to my house. The painters went and got the paint for me (YAY#1), painted my kitchen - even behind the refridgerator! (YAY#2), left the key under the mat (YAY#3) - nothing in my house was missing or damaged (YAY#4) and I paid him the balance over the phone with my credit card. They made everything super easy for me - the work was top notch and I would use them again. The one and ONLY reason I didn't rate them 5* was because they tracked in alot of dirt and the floors were a mess after they left - it would have been nice for them to have swept it up. But the paint job was amazing!

It was a very sloppy and unprofessional job! I spent over two (2) hours cleaning up after they left (in which they didn't even bother to tell me that they were finished and leaving). I will not be recommending their work to anyone due to the very poor workmanship and lack of quality. I have all sorts of things with paint on them now to include concrete, grass, landscaping, rock, fountain, pots, grill cover, etc. There is cardboard sitting on top of my roof. There are areas that were not painted. There are areas that were not caulked.

The project was left incomplete, and the overall quality of workmanship fell well below expectations. Proper surface preparation was not performed before painting, which affected the final finish, which I had to pay another paint contractor to refinish. Paint was left on door hardware and flooring, requiring additional cleanup after the crew left. The caulking work was also poorly executed, with several lines appearing crooked, uneven, and incomplete. They did not fill small nail holes and imperfections in sheet rock before painting making that stand out more after painting. I gave the company an opportunity to address these concerns, but the issues remained unresolved. Attention to detail and proper preparation are critical in painting projects, and unfortunately, those standards were not met on this job. Based on my experience, I would not hire Alexis Home Painting again. Very unprofessional.
