From initial project proposal, to the payment schedule, and all the random one off questions in between; I knew that J would return my messages and answer my questions in a kind, professional and timely manner. Which, after a bad experience with a water mitigation company, was a very welcome experience. As the boots on the ground contractor for our projects, Jarod was equally great at communicating. I knew when to expect him on site, if he needed to run out for supplies, and when he was wrapping up for the day. He made sure to check in with me often to answer any questions or concerns I might have, including taking off some drywall to ensure that insulation was installed and problem plumbing areas were indeed properly fixed before proceeding with the restoration. Jarod was open and honest with me if he felt unsure or incapable in completing a specific task for our projects, such as staining wood flooring, due lack of experience. This was much prefered compared to other contractors we've had in the past who seemed to think that 'winging it in a new or unfamiliar situation, rather than bringing in more experienced hands, was the way to go. He kept the work site/areas as neat and clean as possible, which with small kids running around, was greatly appreciated. J and Jarod's eye for detail come in handy often making suggestions for small features like grout color or tile layout options that my husband and I hadn't fully thought of or considered. They even suggested changing a big part of our original plan completely for a better aesthetic flow and we felt comfortable and confident in working with them to follow their suggestions while still getting the overall vibe we were wanting. Though our overall job completion timeline went over a few days longer than we were initially told, we never felt that was due to lack of good work ethic, just simply that some things take longer than expected. We are in love with how our bathroom remodel looks and can't wait to continue to personalize it further with paint and decorations. It is also so nice to have a damaged section of our floor looking like new again and our home back to normal. We'd highly recommend JTek to our family and friends and would absolutely use them again for more projects on our own home in the future.

Jeff and his team were extremely communicative and responsive throughout the process - always available to answer questions and kept us informed every step of the way. Their professionalism and expertise made the process very smooth If you're looking for a realtor who truly goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Jeff and the team at Hatch. I shared what I was looking for, and he quickly lined up several homes in my price range. He also showed me one slightly above my initial budget -- and it ended up being the perfect fit. After running the numbers, I decided to move forward. Jeff happened to represent both the buyer and seller, and even in that dual‑agency situation, he remained completely fair and transparent. I genuinely felt he worked to make the deal a win for both sides. About five months after closing, I ran into Jeff at a park. When I mentioned a few small issues I'd run into, he immediately stepped up to help resolve them -- long after his job was technically done. That level of follow‑through is rare. Jeff is the kind of realtor who helps you find your dream home and continues to support you well after the sale. I can't recommend him and his team highly enough. Truly 11/10.

We first hired him back when he was known as "Steve Beam Handyman," and it's been amazing to see him grow and expand his services with the launch of Denver Remodels Inc. Over the years, Steve and his team have tackled everything from small repairs (like anchoring heavy drapery hardware into our finicky plaster walls) to major renovations (like restoring the exterior of our 1908 Craftsman). One of our favorite projects was transforming our mudroom by removing a wall and building a custom breakfast nook. This was a complex project, but Steve's expertise and creativity shone through. He even suggested a design element in the booth walls that perfectly complemented the Craftsman lines of our home - it's those little details that make a huge difference. What we think truly sets Steve apart is his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and his consultative approach. He takes the time to truly understand your vision and offers expert guidance throughout the design process. Whether you're tackling a small project or a major renovation, Steve's deep knowledge and experience are on display with every project he does. He's always there to answer questions, offer suggestions, and steer you in the right direction, ensuring that the final result is even better than you imagined. His team is equally fantastic - professional, efficient, and incredibly skilled. If you're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, and truly exceptional remodeling experience in Denver, look no further than Steve Beam and Denver Remodels Inc. They're a standout and I'm so glad we found them.

At least we always knew one thing was consistent: they'd never answer the phone and we never knew when the office would be open, despite clear office hours posted on their office door and website. Can't go into everything, as Yelp doesn't have enough characters. Here are the highlights: * During the height of the pandemic (pre-vaccine era) while one of the maintenance team members stopped by to drop off a new toilet seat, they apologized for taking so long to get to my service request. Why? Because someone had COVID in the office and they were all exposed. No problem, I say! I get it. We're in the middle of a pandemic. He apologizes again and emphasizes again that they were all exposed, but still asked to enter peoples' homes. I asked why none of us were notified about outbreak at the office. He responded, "we were told not to tell anyone." * We had a water leak right off the bat that ruined our hardwood floors. We were told to buy rugs to cover it all up. * My key fob stopped working and the leasing office was mysteriously closed "until further notice" that week. I waited over 48 hours for someone to get in touch with me and it wasn't until I contacted a lawyer did that even happen. Yes, I was locked out of my apartment for almost two days. If my boyfriend hadn't come back early from his vacation just to get me back into the unit, I would have had an incredibly awesome lawsuit on my hands. After my nice lawyer got someone from the office to call me back and fix the lock, I was then told the machine to the fobs was stolen and they couldn't reprogram a new fob. We weren't notified the machine was stolen either... I think that's important information for residents to know?! * My car was towed early on in my lease. They have a partnership with a towing company that comes out daily to make their money. I parked on the street. No sign, the curbs didn't have paint, indicating no parking. The cop I called to help me understand the situation was stumped herself. When I asked the leasing office as to how I was supposed to know not to park there I was told I was to "just know." I didn't read the portion about mind-reading in our lease. My bad. * Don't get me started on the car break-ins. Although this isn't Brookfield's fault, trust me, after two break-ins, it is NOT worth dealing with the rest of this mess and worrying about getting your car broken into every night. (on top of whether or not your landlord is going to tow your car.) * Anytime there was work done on the building the communication was last minute and the work was always done in a hurry with no regards to the residents whatsoever. See the photos of what happened to my patio when they worked on the roof last summer. My balcony was basically used as a trash can. I walked out and to this and stepped on a nail. I could go on, but hear me out: There are plenty of incredible places to live in Denver. Save your mental health and don't rent from Brookfield Properties. I'm counting down the days until my lease is over. The building was just purchased by another company, so fingers crossed they can improve our experience, but truthfully they have nowhere to go but up.
