He did dry needling ( which he called acupuncture) and was given some specific exercises. Had MRI and found out I had 2 herniated discs. Went back and saw a different therapist. Brought in a new referral with my diagnosis. Handed that to receptionist. Told her I now had a diagnosis and what it was. She was very dismissive, did not look at the diagnosis (with Dr's notes) so I told her I have 2 herniated discs. She said it didn't matter, it was the same treatment and proceeded to place me on a bicycle and left me there for 20 minutes. She then attempted to hook me to a traction device which she apparently didn't do correctly because it wasn't doing anything. She then gave me a printout of exercises to do and didn't even attempt to instruct me on how to do them. This place is a joke. Ended up going to a different place where the Therapist does some hands on therapy and gentle manipulations and actually instructs on how to do the prescribed exercises. Completely different treatment and specific for me and my diagnosis. She said it was way too soon to be on a bike and the exercises given to me by the other Therapist did more harm than good. Please don't go here!

My Instructor has been Apollo and I find him to be an excellent Physical Therapist! He is able to customize my exercises based on my diagnosis and works with me in a patient and understanding manner. He is a quiet person who takes the times to explain the benefits of my exercises; encourages me to be consistent in doing them at home; shows me how to do it; and answers my questions to my satisfaction. I worked with Leda as my primary PT and she is passionate about her work and the field and truly is there to help the patient achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. The front desk staff does an amazing job of keeping things running smoothly and impressed me by knowing my name after only one visit. Due to Leda's schedule I also had to work with other therapists, Sydney and Marcus. Each was good but different in their approach and personally, I'm glad that Leda was the first therapist that I worked with. The facility has a lot of equipment in the small space and when they are crowded, it feels claustrophobic. It's good and bad because they have so much equipment for every type of need which I enjoy. The building is older and the waiting room is small and could use a refresh. There is also parking on both sides of the building, and you should never have trouble finding a spot. The clinic is closest to the door in the front of the building. Overall, I've been satisfied with the care I've received here.

I visited with Dr. Payne on 8/10/2024/. I visited him for a DOT Physical. I have been a cdl holder…read morefor 28yrs and the physical that Dr Payne provided was inadequate. He only check my hearing and peripheral vision. He didn't check my reflexes, nor to sit if I could bend over or squat. These are things that I am accustomed to experiencing during a physical. He checked my blood pressure and declared that my blood pressure was extremely high ( over 212/110). I disputed the results so he checked it a second time after having me lie down on my back for about 2 mins. The second reading was 172/98 while lying on my back, in which disputed again. I check my blood pressure twice per day and I keep track of my readings. Today before having my wife drive me to take my physical we checked my blood pressure and I had a reading at 10:07 am of 136/85 which was 40 mins after my morning work out which consists of 30 mins and 2 miles on my treadmill. On 8/9 at 5:41pm my reading was 108/81, Long story short I monitor my readings twice daily and I have never had a reading as high as the reading Dr Payne diagnosed. Dr. Payne didn't follow the proper procedures when checking blood pressure: Sit straight up in a chair with your back supported Have both feet flat on the floor and uncrossed Arm resting at heart level Dr. Payne sat me on a massage table. Since I knew how to check blood pressure properly I sat with my back to the wall but Dr. Payne had me slide all the way forward to the edge of the massage table. (back not supported) Secondly, Dr. Payne did not have my arm supported but instead he had me hold my arm up in the air during the test. Thirdly, Dr. Payne did not allow me to place both feet flat on the floor. My back was slouched and I was attempting to keep my back straight which caused me to move during the test. Dr. Payne didn't ask if I needed to use the restroom before taking my readings. He was not aware of the fact that 60 seconds before he took my readings I had been holding my urine sample for 15 minutes and I was in a tight. Dr. Payne checked my pressure a third and final time while I lay on my back with my arm held in the air during the test. All of these infractions caused an inaccurate reading. Finally, Dr. Payne issued me a 3 months card because of these inaccurate readings. I was recommended to use this place for a physical which I now wish I hadn't. I should've been cautious when I heard the conversation between him and the lady before me when she told him that her bottom number was never as high as he said it was (86), I should've left that moment. If the AHA and other organizations all agree on the proper methods when taking blood pressure readings then doctors who are responsible for patient care should know how to do things according to the standards that have been set. I will be seeking a second opinion next week because I know that this Dr. Payne did everything wrong when taking my blood pressure readings and I know that the law allows for a second opinion when there are questions about a physical. I will be looking into filing a complaint against this doctor as well if there is a process for it.

The office is a one stop shop which makes it so convenient. The doctor's office, MRI, physical therapy, and surgical center is all located in the same building which makes it so much easier scheduling appointments, especially scheduling more than one appointment in a day. The first time I worked with SCA was after a car accident. A different orthopedist wrote off I was healed after six weeks of physical therapy although I was still suffering pain in my left shoulder. I worked with SCA and Dr. Chappuis diagnosed me with two herniated disks in my neck. After his care, I couldn't believe I wasn't in pain anymore. I had been living with pain in my neck and shoulder for a year and had accepted it as a part of life. I had an attorney who really dropped the ball on the case and Dr. Chappuis referred me to another attorneys who was really helpful with my settlement. The team at SCA is wonderful. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and great at what they do. I really enjoyed working with everyone and getting to know the team while I was in treatment. When I had returned for treatment for another procedure the team remembered me and asked how I was doing since that time which shows you they really pay attention to their patients. A year later I had a labrum tear and was treated again by Dr. C. I appreciated he took the path of least resistance and we were able to avoid surgery. Not only was he helpful through my healing but he was helpful in explaining and directing how I should go about my fitness routines in the future and what types of workouts I need to avoid for any further damage. I'm currently undergoing treatment for a herniated disk in my back. Before treatment, I could hardly walk and was in an enormous amount of pain. Currently working with SCA, I'm walking again and regained most of my mobility and will have regained full mobility after my third treatment. I cannot say enough good things about SCA and working with Dr. C. He really listens to you as opposed to other doctors who will ask you a checklist of questions to deduce their opinion of what is wrong with you. He takes his time to explain and break down what is the issue and where the problem stems from. You never feel rushed during your appointment and it's important to him he addresses all of your concerns. While I had some anxiety at the thought of possibly having to undergo surgery, Dr. C was calm, addressed my fears and concerns until I felt confident and at ease with my healing process and options. SCA has been so wonderful to me on multiple occasions, I couldn't imagine being treated anywhere else. At this point, I wouldn't want to be treated anywhere else. I would strongly recommend working with SCA. They're second to none and you won't regret it.
