He even gave me a brace to use. I was so relieved. The others were trying to charge me $1200. I can't believe it. He is so kind. I think he just saw the pain I was in and wanted to help. I guess that is just the way he is but I see him treat everyone like this

When I explained that we were declining injections and surgery, the doctor's demeanor noticeably changed. His tone became sarcastic, and I felt he was rude and unprofessional. He didn't go over the MRI or showed us anything. We arrived 30 minutes early, yet we waited over an hour just to be taken to the back. The long wait was frustrating and added to an already uncomfortable experience. When I asked about other treatment options, he told me there were no alternatives and nothing else he could do. Patients should be able to ask questions and discuss their treatment preferences without feeling dismissed. The office also had a strong, unpleasant odor and appeared unkempt and poorly maintained. The overall environment was not welcoming. I will not return and will request a referral to another specialist. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this office.

I couldn't say enough good things about SCA, Dr. Chappuis, and the staff. I've used the practice…read morefor multiple pain issues and each time they have been flawless. The office is a one stop shop which makes it so convenient. The doctor's office, MRI, physical therapy, and surgical center is all located in the same building which makes it so much easier scheduling appointments, especially scheduling more than one appointment in a day. The first time I worked with SCA was after a car accident. A different orthopedist wrote off I was healed after six weeks of physical therapy although I was still suffering pain in my left shoulder. I worked with SCA and Dr. Chappuis diagnosed me with two herniated disks in my neck. After his care, I couldn't believe I wasn't in pain anymore. I had been living with pain in my neck and shoulder for a year and had accepted it as a part of life. I had an attorney who really dropped the ball on the case and Dr. Chappuis referred me to another attorneys who was really helpful with my settlement. The team at SCA is wonderful. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and great at what they do. I really enjoyed working with everyone and getting to know the team while I was in treatment. When I had returned for treatment for another procedure the team remembered me and asked how I was doing since that time which shows you they really pay attention to their patients. A year later I had a labrum tear and was treated again by Dr. C. I appreciated he took the path of least resistance and we were able to avoid surgery. Not only was he helpful through my healing but he was helpful in explaining and directing how I should go about my fitness routines in the future and what types of workouts I need to avoid for any further damage. I'm currently undergoing treatment for a herniated disk in my back. Before treatment, I could hardly walk and was in an enormous amount of pain. Currently working with SCA, I'm walking again and regained most of my mobility and will have regained full mobility after my third treatment. I cannot say enough good things about SCA and working with Dr. C. He really listens to you as opposed to other doctors who will ask you a checklist of questions to deduce their opinion of what is wrong with you. He takes his time to explain and break down what is the issue and where the problem stems from. You never feel rushed during your appointment and it's important to him he addresses all of your concerns. While I had some anxiety at the thought of possibly having to undergo surgery, Dr. C was calm, addressed my fears and concerns until I felt confident and at ease with my healing process and options. SCA has been so wonderful to me on multiple occasions, I couldn't imagine being treated anywhere else. At this point, I wouldn't want to be treated anywhere else. I would strongly recommend working with SCA. They're second to none and you won't regret it.

Okay, I'm a little late posting this review, as our visit to Southern Regional Medical Center was…read moreon May 1st, but I still felt it was important to share our experience. My father had taken a fall and his knee had swollen to nearly three times its normal size, so he asked me to take him to the ER. We are fairly new to the area so we went with the closest hospital. We arrived around 9 PM. To be fair, the initial intake process -- vitals, insurance, and registration -- was handled within a reasonable amount of time. However, after that, the wait became absolutely unbelievable. My father was not taken to have x-rays until nearly midnight. Honestly, I'm not even sure he would have been called back when he was had he not gone to the desk himself to ask what was taking so long. By that point, both my 12-year-old son and I had actually fallen asleep in the waiting room. Once he finally got called to the back about 4 AM we learned there was only ONE ER doctor on duty that night. EMS arrivals understandably took priority, but that meant anyone who walked in by car just kept getting pushed further and further aside. I completely understand emergency prioritization, but it is difficult to understand how an ER can function properly with only one physician covering the entire department. At one point, I was ready to leave and take him somewhere else, but after already waiting so many hours, we felt stuck. Eventually, the doctor read his x-rays and bloodwork results and discovered that while he had no broken bones or sprains, his potassium levels were dangerously high, his kidney numbers were low, and his blood pressure was also very low. Thankfully, those labs likely uncovered a much more serious issue than the original injury itself, and for that I am grateful. He was ultimately admitted to the hospital. Unfortunately, the delays continued after admission. A doctor briefly stopped by Saturday morning, but he was not properly seen again until Sunday. That level of delay for admitted patients is concerning and, honestly, unacceptable. Now, with all of that said, I absolutely want to acknowledge the staff members we encountered because THEY are the reason this review went from a 1-star to a 3-star experience! Big shoutout to Crystal at the front desk/check-in area. She was patient, kind, and professional throughout the chaos. We also encountered Dakota, Nurse Donna, Peter, Sonia, and Nurse Lea, and every single one of them showed empathy, patience, understanding, and excellent bedside manner despite clearly being overworked and understaffed. They did the best they could with the resources they had, and it showed. This review is truly directed toward hospital leadership and administration. The staffing shortages are hurting both the employees and the patients. A hospital cannot properly serve its community if it does not have adequate staffing in its emergency department and patient care areas. The staff turned what was an absolute nightmare experience into a more tolerable experience through sheer professionalism and compassion alone. But unfortunately, based on this experience, I will NOT return to this location unless absolutely necessary!

This was honestly one of the worst hospital experiences I've ever had in Riverdale, Georgia. I…read morewould never go back to Southern Regional Medical Center, and I definitely would not recommend it. The waiting room was chaotic, dirty, and uncomfortable. There was a man walking around without shoes on, repeatedly making very loud noises and eating noodles in the waiting area. Another woman was walking around asking people for change. After I told her no, she kept staring at me, then later coughed and spit on the floor. What shocked me most was that I never saw security come through the waiting room to check on what was going on or address any of it. I waited almost FOUR HOURS to be seen and eventually got so disgusted and frustrated that I left without being treated. The disorganization was also unbelievable. I personally witnessed a woman being handed the wrong urine specimen cup with someone else's name on it. That alone is extremely concerning in a medical facility. The entire experience felt unsanitary, disorganized, and poorly managed. When people come to an emergency room, they are already sick, scared, or in pain. They should not have to sit for hours in an environment that feels unsafe and unhygienic. I am genuinely baffled by what I experienced. I left because I could not take it anymore. I highly do NOT recommend Southern Regional Medical Center.
