The condo was about 10-15 minutes to the airport. Directly off Hayden Road. It was easy to find. While not exactly in the "hip part of Scottsdale (aka "Old Towne, Fashion Square, Kierland Commons") it was fairly centrally located. The condo had a small but nice living room. Directly off of that was a small, dining area. A small but adequately equipped kitchen. 2 bedrooms. 2 baths, which always comes in handy. Since we were going to be there for a month, brought all necessities. Close to nice restaurants ("Uncle Sal's, Carlsbad Tavern, The Side Door, Oregano's....the list goes on.) Had a great time here for a month.

I always wanted to move back to Sunscape and in 2016 that dream came true for me when I was able to purchase my first home/condo here! I love the gym. I love the pool. I love walking around the golf course. I love how close I am to my office in old town. I seriously could retire here. Also want to give a shout out to Kenny and the City property management company. He has always been quick to respond to me and been very helpful:)

The balcony door was broken, the dishwasher does not work, fake listing online none of the photos were the same as the listing, and they made us move in two days late and didn't comp us for the hotel because they forget we were moving in. Then they said those things are getting fixed but didn't want to tell us about these problems. On top of it they are having an open house scheduled while we r staying here and asked for us to leave. Then they offered to move us to another apartment but then changed their mind and suggested we move into a motel 6 (does not have any of the facilities we wanted with this fake listing in the first place) simply because it would be cheaper for them. This was at 11 in the morning it is now 7pm and we r at the motel 6 that is not big enough and only booked it for 2 nights. We also emailed the HOA asking questions and are being completely ignored.

Safe community as long as you're not stupid about leaving your door unlocked or leaving your bike around for too long. People are generally friendly. Management is pretty responsive. HOA keeps the place in top condition. In the past four months I've moved in, they've cleaned the carpets in the hallways and power washed the garage. Security patrol and video cameras add more security. Also the property manager is having gates installed into the property. They pay the water trash sewer. Can't ever really hear your neighbors, unless they play piano like my neighbor (but I don't care because he's great at it!) Three pools, one spa, a fountain courtyard to sip a coffee and ponder the world, and trash chutes on each floor so you don't have to walk all the way downstairs to throw out your trash. Also there's a clubhouse with a kitchen for entertaining and a projector movie screen that nobody ever uses, and a two floor gym. Amenities all around! Good places in the immediate area are 5 & Diner, CVS, Subway, Jamba Juice, McDonalds, Jimmy Johns, Chipotle, Total Wine, Bluewater Grill, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, a chiropractor, Zoe's Kitchen, Starbucks, Einstein's Bagels, NYPD Pizza, and more!!! Within walking distance of Camelback Colonnade and Fry's grocery store. What's not to love???

It's a nice mix of residents from 20 somethings to elderly. The current management team is outstanding - Jessie, Amanda, Ryan and Diamond - service oriented, super responsive, professional and personable. The manager (Nicholas I believe) seems very selective about who he is friendly too. He's definitely not a fan of dogs, and I would be out walking mine and he wouldn't even crack a smile. The most ANNOYING thing was the lack of gate codes. Initially there were a couple for the residents to have and then they would always eliminate them without notice. They said too many people were getting the codes.... Well it sucks whenever my boyfriend would come over on his own while I was at work, would have to call my phone for me to buzz him in. If I wasn't near my phone he would be outside the gate stuck for a countless amount of time. He lived there too! Because he didn't have a gate clicker half the time he couldn't enter. This seemed ridiculous to me. Have a gate code for residents only. I've never heard of another complex not doing this. Don't get me started on the nightmare that is having food delivered to your house because of it.... Overall the grounds are nice and for the most part well kept. It's in a great area off Tatum & Cactus with tons of restaurants and bars near by. I moved to Nebraska, but if I ever moved back I would probably stick with the same area, but don't know if I would be back to this complex.

The apartment is in excellent condition, and being steps from Whole Foods and plenty of restaurants is a huge plus. Security is tight--key fobs for the apartment and the Latch app for other doors. The location, technically part of Phoenix (not the storied Paradise Valley a few miles away), feels primed for growth. Overall, it is a luxury living experience. I hope to return to AVE for a longer stay.

Right after that they infested my apartment full force! I had to throw away my furniture because it had gotten so bad! I've shown pictures and videos and they don't seem to wanna deal with it! On Monday I went to the office again to express my concern for the infestation and the new property manager basically didn't want to deal with me so she gave me what she called her expensive traps not believing the issue has never been remedied! Guess what it's been 24hrs and all the traps are full of roaches! I would have to say in my 15 years as a residentill maintenance manager this is as bad as you'll ever see!

The management team has been very professional and friendly. The maintenance team is also friendly and quick to respond, the two minor things that I put in a work order for were fixed the next day. Trash valet service is on time easy evening compared to the previous apartment complex I lived in that used the same company. It's been fairly quiet for apartment living which can be noisy. I have a 2 bedroom on the first floor and faces the pool but it hasn't been noisy even after hours. I have seen the reviews about hearing the neighbors walking above you, but I haven't really noticed it. I recommend getting a unit on the 1st floor as it has 12 ft ceilings so that definitely helps drown out any noise from neighbors above, or get one one the 4th floor. The parking garage is clean with wide spaces for easy parking. The gate works but residents don't follow the rules to help maintain it for safety! The property is properly maintained and yes there is dog waste in some areas but again I blame the lazy residents that I see letting their dogs do their business in public areas and just walking away. The price is competitive and it's a nice place so overall I recommend living here.
