Outstanding service and value! My wife, daughter, and I just finished eye exams at the local Costco and were planning on doing some glasses shopping at some local stores. Our journey first found us at a major chain where the service wasn't very good, prices were poorly explained, and selection was lacking. We then headed over to Optical Thirty 8, where we had the best optical experience we've had in our lives. Upon entering, we were greeted immediately with warm smiles and friendly service. The staff patiently took the time to find glasses for all of us while providing excellent advice. The prices and services offered were great as well. We came in here for prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses. The associates here are so great and they go beyond your expectation! My dad was very happy to get his new driving glasses! There's a lot of great choices in brands as well. We bought a groupon and was well worth it! :) I also came in here the other day to fix one of the screws that fell off my glasses and the gentleman was very nice! Friday morning, I decided to use my Groupon for Optical Thirty 8. I did not get to see the eye doc but that was on me. They were fully booked for the next Fridays to come. Never mind that. The rep, so sorry for not remembering his name, was an incredible person! I mean, he did not treat me like an idiot when I thought that the doc was in. You know how in some places, the staff looks furious that a customer comes in with a Groupon? Not at this store, he was very frank and actually cheered us for having it. LOVE this experience so far. I got to leisurely choose my frames so that I'm ready to go when the eye exam is done on next visit. The store had a great selection of WAY affordable frames. They had two choices of lenses company (their own or Nikon). When I could not see how h frames looked on me (i.e., I'm blind as a Effer and thought not to wear my lenses when seeing the opt doc), the wonderful man, who else, gave me a pair of contacts to use for the day. Awesome!!! I could see again! Price: now, I told him of my situation, coverage, well lack of, but Groupon, and budget. His answer: "we have a lot of choices around $300-$400." Don't forget, Groupon covers $150 {limited time}.Yay! He mentioned eye exam not included but that's standard, right? Overall, I am very happy with the experience at this place and would recommend them to anyone who doesn't have much coverage like moi. If you are covered, well then, you will really like this place. Was in town visiting family a couple weeks back and needed new prescription sunglasses. Called a couple days ahead and the wife and mother in law came a along looking for new glasses too. Brand new store, really tastefully designed and set up. So many frames and styles to check out, both exotic and more affordable ones, it was a treat to browse see stuff from Japan to Berlin. Super nice staff who are incredibly knowledgeable and professional in their craft. So patient with the three of us choosing and trying frames while our two toddlers were causing ruckus in the store:) Even did an eye exam on the fly for the mother in law. It was such an effortless experience. Glasses were ready a couple days later for pick up. Easy. Highly recommend this store. read more

I've been here many times for prescription glasses, contacts etc and I cannot rave enough about how amazing the staff are! They are always so nice and thoughtful and it's a plus that they have an amazing selection of products to choose from. I have bought from Optical 38 before and pleasantly found their new store in Aurora. The experience this time was good too. The store changed my frame, because they noticed that the lenses have slightly scratched it; I have had problem on the glasses's first try and was skeptical if my new prescription was accurate, and they even paid to redo my eye exam - turned out that I just needed more time to get used to the new one.
