The optometrist was wonderful but the front end staff were lacking in friendliness. Thought maybe it was the day but have been in two more times and still the same lack lustre feeling and attitude. Add to that, my contacts took far longer than expected to come in but no one was willing to own up or figure out what happened or make it right. I got the feeling they weren't even ordered until I called about them. Take ownership of the situation and make it right with at least an apology and it will go a long way with your clients. read more

I have been going to Optical Studio for a number of years. Dr Asuchak has been my optometrist for all my visits. To say the least he makes a person feel relaxed. He throughly explains changes to your vision etc. Upon entering the office you are pleasantly greeted by the staff. The staff is professional, friendly and appreciated my business. I highly recommend Optical Studio for your eye healthcare. read more

I've been going to Dr Asuchak for 14 years and I don't trust anyone else with my eyes more than I trust him. Kind, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I feel very fortunate to have him for my optometrist. read more

My second visit to optical studio I was pretty happy. I came in quite worried as it seemed that symptoms of secondary cataracts were returning. The optometrist did a very thorough exam of my eyes and assured me that my eyes are now healthy. I now need a new prescription after just over one year which is unfortunately not covered till October. There was some confusion with my coverage which is the only reason I dropped a star. The optomostrist thought my glasses were covered but don't really blame her as my appointment was. The problem came wit the other staff who found glasses for me who initially told me I was covered january 10th so I went ahead and took the time to make selections and also missed my bus.nthe clerk then came back and told me I'm not eligible till October which actually made more sense. So because I'm having a lot of vision issues I opted to take my prescription, and see if the drops hep. If not I'll see if I can get a better price from online fulfillment. Glasses cost a fortune! I regret missing a round but didn't have much choice for two years when I was dealing with cataracts. read more

Optical Studio believes that their patients deserve the best eye care possible. We have three optometrists on-site, and a qualified team of opticians and assistants that are here for your family's eye care needs. We provide full comprehensive eye examinations including digital retinal photography, optical coherence tomography scans with continued advancement in technology and new diagnostic testing. We also specialize in spherical contact lens fitting, toric or astigmatism contact lens fitting, multifocal contact lens fitting and RGP fitting. We are active in LASER surgery referrals (LASIK and PRK) working closely with Gimbel's Eye Center and LASIK MD. We have a wide selection of dress spectacle frames, sunglasses and safety glasses. We use top quality lens material and designs to provide you with the best possible vision.

History

Established in 2000.

Optical Studio was started in February of 2000 by a Dr. Jim Asuchak and his wife Sandra Asuchak partnering with Peter Brizinello and was originally located in the down town core of Lethbridge. Optical Studio moved to it's current location 2810 Fairway St. S. Lethbridge in 2020 and has enjoyed a lot of growth indeed.

Meet the Business Owner: Jim A.

Jim was born and raised in Fort Macleod where his parents still operate a small farm. He later attended the University of Lethbridge and then onto the University of Waterloo to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree. Jim returned to Lethbridge in 1999 and has been pleased with his decision ever since. He has enjoyed the friendships he has made with patients in the office and considers the staff at Optical Studio family. In his spare time, Jim enjoys hanging out with his son Tyler. He can also be found in his garage working on his old cars or mountain biking in the coulees.

NO revisions needed!...highly recommend this office.

I'm not trying to discredit someone else's experience (another posted review), but I have nothing but kind words to say about Eye Appeal! I have never received broken or otherwise tampered with glasses/prescription sunglasses (to which I have had several). I would suggest (based on another posted review) that if you are concerned about the state of any eye-ware you've purchased, prescription or not, look at them yourself before taking them into your possession. I don't remember a time where I didn't put on my new pair of glasses the second I picked them up because my new prescription had a sharper image. I would recommend Eye Appeal and know of many people who have had very positive experiences as well! I would 100% describe the people who work here as honest, kind, and friendly.
