He will fit a pair of boots to your…read morefeet with many measurements, he can tell if your feet had a bad day yesterday by the swelling, he treats his customers like gold and will school them in how to put on, take off and care for their boots. He takes a good 45 minutes to measure your feet and find your boots. They aren't cheap- he points out the difference between good and poor quality in a boot, using an old boot! His selection is vast, if he can't find a pair on the main floor his basement is full. Large inventory. Best boot fitting you'll ever have- you won't get that at any other store, they won't take the time. His knowledge of the leather, the patterns, the stitching, the different hides, colors and textures rivals NONE. He knows a lot of people in town, has seen a lot of the good and basin others, and it shows. Great dry wit.

I am a long time customer of optical studio. The last visit has got me thinking if i need a new eye…read morecare place. I use reading glass for phone, computer work and for up close tasks and I also need to look up while doing these up close task like looking up to talk to people. So, i was told that i should get office kind of lenses which will give me up close and intermediate vision of 10m. I got the prescription from the dr. and finally ordered these office lenses. I was told will take 2 weeks to come in. When i did not get a message to pick these in 2 weeks i called in and was told that my glasses are still not in. So it was about 10 more days of wait and when i finally got them, I could for sure not look with them past my phone - and even that was a trouble. It was found that my new frames were too big for me and that is why the vision was not clear and so i was told to select a smaller size frame and the office lenses would be fitted in these - another 2 weeks of wait and then trying.... Nope these frames did not work either. I had been telling the girls that the power is too much and i want to see the dr. Finally they booked me to see the dr. after 2 weeks ! (he was travelling) I see the dr. all looks good, now we order a progressive kind of lens instead of office lenses. All this while I am still trying to use my office lenses to get them to work, i am getting headache and I i am finding it difficult to work on computer.... I get the progressives and its better than the office lenses but not comfortable (i have that fish bowl effect and heaviness in eyes after using them) i am told I have to give time to get used to them(fair enough), another 2-3 weeks, while they tweak the frame here and there to make it work! I am using them but to no avail. Now I do not want to pick these progressives to do my up close task but rather prefer my old reading glasses! I go back in tell them and they tweak the frame a little better but again I don't reach for them when in need, instead use my old reading glasses. All this happens from start of May all way to mid September. Not to mention the stress i put my eyes through to try to adjust to the various lens with different powers. So finally, I am tired of not having my glasses, i give up the idea that I can have both the reading and intermediate vision at the same time! :(( I ended up getting normal reading glasses and I tilt my head down and look out of the glasses if i have to look at someone when they talk to me or if i am in a meeting!! Optical studio was not able to meet my needs of glasses for near and intermediate vision. I felt they were just playing/adjusting my frame to correct the issues of fish bowl effect and heaviness that I felt after using the new glasses. In fact the power on the lenses was definitely not right the first 2 times. I have been given wrong power lenses before as well. After this 2nd experience, I am now very sceptical to go back to them. No one really knows how to support a patient when they are moving from lenses variety (reading/office/progressives). No one really knows what issues a patient will face when transitioning to different lenses. No one knows the right questions to ask the patient to understand the issue and then to support the patient and correct that issue in glasses.

I hate shopping, but I actually have fun here. Cay is honest about what does and doesn't work, and the atmosphere is fun. Other shoppers often compliment one another on their finds and share ideas about accessories. You can also keep to yourself if that's your preference. My boyfriend even felt comfortable there. There are regular specials (follow them on Facebook) and she put out treats for the holidays. I feel part of a community there. It's a special type of place you don't find often.

When I called to discuss this with head office the girl didn't care at all how much I have spent there in the past or how much I would have spent in the future. I'm sure I can find nice boots elsewhere. I will be going to pick up my refund on my returned boots later today, never to return. How unfortunate.

It was easy to navigate and gave me all of the information I needed to see if they could help me. I dropped by and found a nice, well designed store. The two gentlemen working greeted me immediately (sorry, I didn't get their names). In under 5 minutes, they had replaced my battery and informed me what I needed to do to condition the new battery. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole experience was very impressive. Apple would have charged $79, plus shipping and other fees. Plus, they would have taken my phone for who knows how long. iDeal iRepair charged $50 for the part and service. I absolutely recommend this store. Thanks for the great service!
