Worst unprofessional establishment in Lethbridge when dealing with your eye care needs. Broken frames sold as new - took them back twice and was lied to about them fixing the frame. Agent that upsells frames and lenses broke my original frames while at the same time had us sign the waiver 'if something should happen...' - long short received lenses with my original frames they said they passed their 'thorough inspection' I get home and noticed the right lens is broke off from the frame, the agent was bending my frames and touching the lenses while trying to distract us - this was her Breaking them, so they are not covered $1100 for nothing the put my new lenses into this demo frame they sold us that are defective. No one offered a refund, apology, not concern.
I went to our regular eye doctor, turns out that Eye Appeal put diabetic eye drops in before my eye exam! You do not do this then give the prescription, you do it after if the doctor cannot determine from the 'photos' of your retina are 'inconclusive' to see any issues. So, the eye doctor at Eye Appeal totally gave me an exam that seems to be someone who is untrained. No wonder the Eye Appeal doctor said, " your prescription is almost identical, you do not have to get a new prescription just wear your same glasses". True fact.
Well my eye doctor today said, that was wrong to give drops to dilate your eyes before the eye exam. So, because we paid full price and paid for the exam to Eye Appeal, he waived the fee today for us. So, much for just trying to spread the wealth around the city, we just lost $1100 for the transition lenses with tint and frames that are broken at the hinge...beware at the level of professionals working here, they just do not give a ... I will be writing to the top legal authorities that govern places like this, this sort of lack of care for people who spend over $1100 should not be kicked to the curb - 'we got your money - now leave - we do not care...that can change with my help giving my experience from Eye Appeal staff.
Lastly, there was a patience in the eye photo room being asked about their medications, we all heard what that person takes, the etiquette and privacy are out the door with this company, so wrong in every way and should be monitored.
My eye exam today showed my one eye is worse (leaving unbalanced vision where it makes the other eye work hard while the other becomes worse, if I understood the reason correctly)...meaning I do need new glasses and that there was a big change in the one eye - where Eye Appeal said, 'that I could just keep using the same prescription I had worn for 3 years!
I do not care about this place, I have had worse life experiences - BUT what is important is getting the truth out about these people running this business - fail for them - I hope they read this and quit the horrible business methods they have adopted, we do not have money growing on any trees we are out $1100. For the agent lady who upsells frames and lenses, she should be let go and with a blemish on here employment record IMHO. read more
