This location takes mine and the rest of the family's insurance. Once we entered the staff greeted us and asked us to wait as our appointment time was coming up. All the staff had on masks and wiping down after customers. After a short wait we each went in one at a time for our eye exam. I went in with the kids. The eye doctor was friendly and patient with working with my kids especially my son who has ASD. He was able to get their prescription. The kids and I had a great time picking out our frames. They had lots to choose from. After two weeks out glasses were mailed to our house. We brought them in for adjustments for the kids. I am thrilled to say that my trip to Opti-mart yesterday was better than I had expected. Being elderly with Type-2 can be frightening with yearly eye exams that will say if you can keep your driver's license which, as everyone knows, is the last ticket for independence. Everyone there is so warm and friendly. They make you feel like their caring is genuine, not forced by Corp headquarters. The OD who tested me was to the point, no wishy-washy communication and he went out if his way to make me feel more comfortable because he knew I was quite nervous. He was able to find the correct adjustments needed for my new lenses. I went to another OD a couple years ago and they gave me the wrong 'script. When I complained about it they insinuated I was lying. If my insurance didn't send me there I would have not been very pleasant with them. If it wasn't for this horrid COVID-19 I would have given Opti-marts (Zephyrhills, FL) OD a bear hug, for sure. read more

my glasses came and we're not correct( fuzzy like looking thru a magnifying glass) after the text said they were ok, I told her to look at a light. She then said O they are not right! Then she said "we will send the back-- it won't take as long. 2 weeks later I stopped to get my glasses OR my money back! They said coming next day and will mail them???? Wee will see!!!!! read more

I called Opti-mart on a Monday morning at 8:10 AM and requested an appointment. To my surprise, the very pleasant young lady said, "Can you be here by 8:50 AM?" I said "You bet!" I was warmly greeted upon my arrival and quickly attended through the process in a professional, yet friendly, manner. I received my glasses in the mail in a week and went to Opti-mart for an adjustment (no appointment required). I am thoroughly and completely satisfied. This is also a family owned business...you can't beat that! From now on, this is where I'm going! Oh, part of the cost for my prescription was paid for by Humana. One more thing...with the Humana coverage, my glasses were about $150 to $200 cheaper than the last pair I got at Walmart in Wesley Chapel a couple of years ago. read more

Terrible customer service. I walked in fully expecting to buy a pair of eyeglasses and was confronted with do you have a prescription? Followed by will you be using insurance? How about a hello would you like some help choosing eyeglasses. Though there are many eyeglass frames they all look alike. I highly recommend Walmart believe it or not. Very nice people. Every person I had contact with was cheerful and efficient. It was busy when I had my exam, but there was little waiting except--of course--while waiting for my eyes to dilate. Have had one pair of glasses adjusted 3 times and the glasses still weren't rite. The script was off. I had a 2nd script done and that script was off by 20 points, so had them made by another company to get useable prescription. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

What I like most about this location,is they never try to "up-sell" you & are helpful in finding items within your budget.
